Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang analisis kesulitan pemahaman siswa pada materi sifat koligatif larutan dengan menggunakan tes diagnostik three-tier multiple choice. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui pemahaman siswa kelas XII IPA 2 SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh pada materi sifat koligatif larutan menggunakan three-tier multiple choice diagnostic test. ; 2) mengetahui kesulitan yang dialami siswa kelas XII IPA 2 SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh dalam memahami materi sifat koligatif larutan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XII IPA 2 SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh yang dipilih secara purposive sampling dengan jumlah siswa 27 orang yang terdiri dari 10 orang laki-laki dan 17 orang perempuan. Teknik Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes diagnostik three-tier multiple choice dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 14,81% siswa yang paham konsep, 33,94% siswa mengalami miskonsepsi, 45,06% siswa tidak paham konsep, dan 5,96% error. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara yang telah dilakukan diketahui bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi yang disampaikan guru disebabkan oleh siswa yang kurang memperhatikan guru saat menjelaskan pelajaran ketika proses belajar mengajar berlangsung. Selain itu, siswa juga tidak mempersiapkan diri terlebih dahulu sebelum pelajaran dimulai, siswa tidak serius mempelajari konsep yang menjadi syarat untuk mempelajari konsep selanjutnya, banyak siswa belajar dengan cara menghafal, dan kurangnya latihan soal. Kata kunci:  tes diagnostik, three-tier multiple choice, kesulitan pemahaman, sifat koligatif larutan Abstract The study about analysis of students’ difficult understanding on materials of colligative properties by using diagnostic test of three-tier multiple-choice have been conducted in class of XII IPA 2 SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh. The objectives of study were to 1) indicate students’ understanding of class XII IPA 2 SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh on materials of colligative properties by using diagnostic test of three-tier multiple-choice; 2) understand students’ difficulties of class XII IPA 2 SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh in order to comprehend materials of colligative properties. The study was implemented by using kind of descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Initially, 27 students of class XII IPA 2 in SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh were selected purposively which were 10 males and 17 females. Then, data were collected by using diagnostic test of three-tier multiple-choice and interview. The result of study represented that 14.81% of students were well understand the concept, 33.94% of students were misconception, 45.06% of students were wrong understand the concept and 5.96% of error. According to interview, it can be indicated that some factors which were affected difficulties of students’ understanding were lack of interest and attention during learning process. Besides that, the students have none of preparation before entered the class, the students were not studied seriously to the conceptual matterwhich was most important to improve other concepts, more of them were studied by memorize, and lack of exercise. Keywords: diagnostic test, three-tier multiple-choice, difficulty of understanding, colligative properties of solution.
