Abstract

Downtown area is the area that located in the central of a city with a relatively close distance to the location of the activity and existing facilities and it is served by public transportation service, so that the number of private vehicles uses can be reduced. However, those conditions are not found in the downtown area of Semarang, where the number of motorcycle uses is high. That phenomenon needs to be observed from household scale as the main actors of trips. This study aims to investigate motor cycle travel behavior of households living in the downtowns area of Semarang. Based on the results it is found that husband and wife have different travel behavior along with their role in the household. Husbands have more trips related to work activities while wives have more trips related to household activities. Moreover, household travel behavior is different during weekdays and weekend. Variable which has the most influence on travel behavior in weekdays is daily activity that is accompany family members, while variables which have the most influence on travel behavior in weekend are non-daily activities such as recreation and visiting relatives. Pusat kota adalah kawasan yang menempati lokasi sentral dengan jarak relatif dekat dengan lokasi aktivitas serta fasilitas yang ada dan dapat diakses dengan jaringan pelayanan angkutan umum sehingga angka penggunaan kendaraan pribadi, khususnya bagi penduduk yang tinggal di dalamnya, dapat dikurangi. Namun kondisi tersebut tidak terjadi di pusat Kota Semarang karena angka penggunaan sepeda motor di sini cenderung tinggi. Fenomena tersebut perlu dicermati pada skala paling kecil, yaitu rumah tangga sebagai pelaku utama pergerakan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan analisis perilaku perjalanan rumah tangga pengguna sepeda motor yang tinggal di kawasan pusat Kota Semarang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa pasangan suami dan istri memiliki perilaku perjalanan yang berbeda dalam melakukan aktivitas rumah tangga. Pergerakan suami lebih banyak dilakukan untuk kegiatan bekerja sedangkan istri lebih banyak berperan dalam aktivitas rumah tangga. Selain itu perilaku perjalanan rumah tangga pada hari kerja dan pada akhir pekan juga berbeda. Variabel yang paling mempengaruhi perilaku perjalanan pada hari kerja adalah aktivitas harian, yaitu mengantar anggota keluarga, sedangkan variable yang paling mempengaruhi pada akhir pekan adalah aktivitas non-harian, seperti rekreasi, jalan-jalan dan mengunjungi kerabat.

Abstract

With urban sprawl, public transport often fails to accommodate the high travel demand; population is increasingly spread out while most activities stay in the city centers. This creates variations in travel behavior, affected by the traveler himself and his location. This study examines household travel behavior characteristic using motorcycle in Semarang City fringes quantitatively using crosstab analysis. Analysis results showed that distance to working location has the biggest influence in the husband and wife travel behavior on weekday, as the main actor of household production and consumption which play a main role in the decisions being made in the household. On the other hand, the frequency of trips on the weekend is influenced by a number of members of the family and household income, as well as travel time is affected by household income. This suggests that the characteristics of household travel behavior motorcyclists on weekends is more influenced by household income. Typically these households undertake recreational walks.

Abstract

Kawasan Blok M merupakan pusat kegiatan sekunder di wilayah Kota Administrasi Jakarta Selatan yang berfungsi sebagai pusat perkantoran, perdagangan dan jasa, dekat dengan permukiman yang memiliki daya tarik besar sebagai bangkitan dan tarikan lalu lintas, serta termasuk kawasan yang diprioritaskan untuk penanganan jalur pejalan kaki. Beberapa permasalahan kawasan Blok M yaitu adanya alih fungsi jalur pejalan kaki, kondisi geometri yang tidak ideal, tidak adanya street furniture, adanya hambatan pada jalur pejalan kaki, kondisi tekstur yang tidak rata, dan terdapat jalan yang belum memiliki jalur pejalan kaki. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penentuan prioritas indikator dalam merencanakan jalur pejalan kaki agar sesuai dengan preferensi pejalan kaki dan preferensi para ahli terkait keamanan dan kenyamanan, sehingga dapat berfungsi secara optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis IPA terkait preferensi pejalan kaki dan analisis AHP terkait preferensi para ahli untuk merumuskan penentuan prioritas indikator dalam merencanakan jalur pejalan kaki yang aman dan nyaman. Berdasarkan hasil analisis terkait penentuan prioritas indikator dalam merencanakan jalur pejalan kaki yang meliputi analisis preferensi pejalan kaki dan preferensi para ahli terkait tingkat keamanan dan kenyamanan, terdapat perbedaan terhadap penentuan prioritas indikator dalam merencanakan jalur pejalan kaki. Berdasarkan preferensi pejalan kaki, peniadaan hambatan/penghalang dan keberadaan street furniture sebagai prioritas utama indikator, di sisi lain kondisi permukaan (tekstur) dan aksesibilitas sebagai prioritas utama indikator yang disampaikan oleh para ahli.

Abstract

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Trans Semarang Koridor I merupakan salah satu moda transportasi umum yang ada di Bagian Wilayah Kota (BWK) I Kota Semarang. Keberadaan BRT Trans Semarang belum didukung penyediaan trotoar sebagai prasarana berjalan kaki (non motorized transportation) yang aman dan nyaman di sepanjang koridor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kualitas trotoar di BWK I sebagai feeder untuk mendukung BRT Trans Semarang Koridor I di BWK I. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Analisis yang dilakukan adalah analisis karakteristik pejalan kaki berdasarkan masksud pergerakan dan moda yang digunakan, analisis kondisi trotoar berdasarkan preferensi pejalan kaki dengan Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), serta analisis kualitas trotoar dengan pendekatan Pedestrian Environmental Quality Index (PEQI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kondisi trotoar di BWK I belum seluruhnya optimal dalam memberikan keamanan dan kenyamanan bagi pejalan kaki. Lampu penerangan dan pagar pengaman merupakan variabel yang sangat penting dan menjadi prioritas utama untuk meningkatkan keamanan, sedangkan keberadaan pelindung cuaca, keberadaan tempat duduk dan kemiringan (ramp) permukaan merupakan variabel kenyamanan yang sangat penting dan menjadi prioritas utama untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan. Kualitas trotoar di Zona 2 sebagai pusat kota dan Central Business District (CBD) cenderung lebih baik dibandingkan Zona 1 dan Zona 3 yang merupakan wilayah penyangganya. Selain itu penyediaan trotoar masih memprioritaskan pada jalan-jalan utama koridor BRT, dimana trotoar yang ada memiliki kualitas basis (dasar) dan dapat diterima pejalan kaki.

Abstract

Land use development plan and integrated transport network in Semarang City requires planning based on the determination of the movement of transit. TOD (Transit Oriented Development) is a model for integration of transportation and land use in order to encourage the transit area. The purpose of this study was to determine the suitability of land use based on concept of TOD in Semarang City. The scope of the research areas at 8 of 10 BWK in Semarang City exclude BWK VI and BWK VIII. Data collection techniques are observation, survey and document review agencies. Analysis of data using a theoretical approach to the concept of TOD, further buffering analysis at point transit using GIS tools with a distance of 600 meters. Results of the research is a concordance rate land use on the application of concept TOD in Semarang City, as for the results 1,15% of 8 BWK were examined. Of the 8 BWK in detail there are only two BWK corresponding to BWK I (one TOD knot) percentage of 6.5% and BWK II (two TOD knots) percentage of 14.08%.

Abstract

Malioboro Street is one of street in Yogyakarta City that become tourist destination, especially for shopping, for local and foreign tourists that is visited by more than 4000 people every day so that the need for parking in this area was high. The Yogyakarta City Government responded by providing Abu Bakar Ali Parking Building at north of Malioboro Street and imposing a parking restriction throughout the area to maintain its parking neatness. However, the visitors still prefer to park their vehicles in the parking bags around Malioboro Street. The purpose of this study is to determine the behavior of visitors in choosing parking location at Malioboro Tourism Area during weekdays and weekend using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method. It is known from the analysis result that Abu Bakar Parking Building performance is still not accommodate visitors’ need because of its location that does not suit their travel purpose and destination. The performance of this building is said to be not good because based on the analysisit is found that the behavior of Malioboro Touism Area visitor is influenced by travel purpose and parking service characteristics. In addition, visit time, ie weekdays and weekend also influences the visitor’s behavior in choosing parking location. For that reason, in determining the location of parking buildings in the tourism area, the city government should think about visitor’s behavior and their visit time to in order to optimalize the usage of the parking building provided.

Abstract

The Aceh Provincial Government through the department of transportation in 2016 began operating Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Banda Aceh city. The presence of Trans Koetaradja is expected to be able to implement a mass transit system that is capable of maintaining order, traffic congestion and traffic jam in Banda Aceh City. However, the existence of BRT Trans Koetaradja poses a threat to the existence of drivers and businessmen of transporting labi-labi in Banda Aceh City. Starting from the problem, this research aims to create the form of integration of BRT Trans Koetaradja service with feeder of labi-labi transportation in Banda Aceh City. The research method used is descriptive analysis of kunatitatif which will describe the potential of travel demand and condition of existing road network. In addition, it uses a spatial descriptive analysis method to formulate the form of feeder transport routes of labi-labi and analyze the operational integration of routes, time and rates. The result of the research shows that there are 6 feeder routes that will serve the corridor I Keudah-Darussalam namely Prada area route, Zainal Abidin General Hospital route, Simpang Keramat route, Unsyiah campus route and UIN Ar-Raniry route, Aceh Governor Office and route of Simpang Mesra area. Operationally, the integration of Trans Koetaradja transport service time with feeder transport of labi-labi is at 07.00-18.00 wib. The required headway of each feeding route is 4-9 minutes. The travel time required for each feeder route is 10-15 minutes with the number of fleets used by 32 units to serve 6 (six) feeder routes. In terms of tariff integration, the cost to be spent per passenger to use labi-labi transportation on each feeder route is between Rp.1.000 - Rp. 1,500.

Abstract

Online transportation has become popular among the public because of its different character than public transportation that was previously available. Therefore, the question in this study is how the influence of land use patterns on the existence of online transportation in the Education Area of Diponegoro University ?. The expected results are in the form of information regarding the effect of land use on online transportation so as to be able to issue policy recommendations related to online transportation. The analysis was carried out by overlaying the pattern of use of the exiting land with the movement pattern of the motorcycle taxi service. The data used in the analysis is divided into two based on time, namely at weekends and weekdays. Based on observation, it was found that 759 movements and the results of overlays carried out with existing land use patterns showed that the highest pattern of demand occurred in residential and boarding areas, educational areas, and commercial areas. This explains that these areas have a large influence on the movement of online transportation facilities.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze and assess determining parameters for public transportation usage for choice user group among the labours that work in Pati Urban Area; therefor the most dominant parameters will be known. User satisfaction recently used in public transportation researches and widely believed as determinant of mode choice. This research is using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) Analysis with 150 sampels of Pati Urban Area labours (including public servant and private workers) choosen by purposive sampling technique. The findings of the reasearh are : connectivity, accessibility and service quality have positive and significant impact toward user disatisfaction and user disatisfaction influences traveller behaviour to unuse public transportation services, while influence of travel cost couldn’t be explained and estimated. Finally, answering the research question, research reveals that connectivity’s parameters (0,563 influence rate), i.e waiting time, desireable arrival schedule and travel time, are the most dominant to determine public transportation usage with accessibility’s parameters (0,462) at the next ranking. At the lower rangking but also significant are service quality’s parameters with 0,451 influence rate.
