Abstract

This research is based on the low ability of students' mathematical connections. A learning approach that can improve students' mathematical connection ability is the Brain-Based Learning (BBL) approach. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is influence from the application of the Brain-Based Learning (BBL) approach to students' mathematical connection ability. The method used in this research is quantitative research (experimental study) with One-Shot Case Study Design research design. This study's sample is the students of class X.MIPA.4 consisting of 28 students obtained by simple cluster random sampling technique. The instrument used in this research is using the questionnaire and test. The data analysis technique used is the linear regression test. From a hypothesis test, t-count > t-table is 4,003> 1,710, then H0 is rejected, and Ha accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a positive influence of applying the Brain-Based Learning (BBL) approach to students' mathematical connection ability with a considerable influence equal to 37.5%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen TPACK bermuatan kata kerja operasional Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTs). Instrumen disusun berdasarkan tujuh domain yaitu: Technological Knowledge (TK), Pedagogical Knowledge (PK), Content Knowledge (CK) Technological Content Knowledge (TCK), Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK), Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK), Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan dengan pendekatan ADDIE. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 111 calon guru matematika di Cirebon. Penelitian ini dirancang untuk menilai TPACK calon guru matematika yang memiliki HOTs. Studi validitas menggunakan rumus Aikens. Hasil penelitian menyatakan instrumen TPACK berbasis HOTs valid dan reliabel, dengan tingkat reliabilitas sebesar 0,95. Instrumen TPACK berbasis HOTs telah layak digunakan sebagai pedoman dalam menilai TPACK calon guru matematika.

Abstract

Toddlers have behavioral styles or temperaments that affect sensory and motor interactions. This The aim of this research is to know teaching and learning speaking process in English extracurricular in (Sekolah Menengah Pertama/Junior High School). The method which used in this research is qualitative research. The techniques of collecting data that the researcher used are in depth observation and in dept interview to know about teaching and learning speaking in The EAST class as English extracurricular program. The result of this  research  shows  that  teaching  and  learning  speaking  process  in  English extracurricular program is good, because it does with appropirate approach, method, and technique that the tutors used are suitable to the students needed. Therefor, the students have good progress in learning speaking English. The researcher recommend this extracurricular program to be followed by other schools. Because the researcher saw, in common, people have an assumption that a person who master in foreign language is a person who can speak its language. Speaking is interpreted  as  a  fundamental  subject  for  students  develop  a  successful communication  in  language  itself,  which  is  often  the  main  aim  of  learning  any foreign language.  It takes place that teaching  speaking  has a fundamental position to  teacher  helps  students  in  learning  speaking  English.  Therefor,  teaching  and learning speaking has became important for teachers and students to get the aims of speaking, those are to communicate and interact to others.
