Abstract

THE STREAM APPROACH (SCIENCE-TECHNOLOGY-RELIGION-ENGINEERING-ARTS-MATHEMATICS) PROVIDES STUDENTS 'THINKING HABITSAbstractThis research develops an Applied Biology learning program using a science-technology-religion-engineering-arts-mathematics (STREAM) approach that can equip students with habits of mind. These thinking habits include systems thinking skills. The Applied Biology learning content includes compost making, nata de soya making, and biopesticides making. The research was carried out in the Microbiology course on the topic of Applied Microbiology. During the lectures, the learning process combines the 3Es learning cycle model (exploration-explanation-expansion phase), Jigsaw-type cooperative, and a combination of various learning methods. Students are trained in scientific process skills and designing /engineering skills. The products of the program consisted of modifications to the syllabus and the microbiology course matrix, performance tasks on students' worksheet, the STREAM approach scheme, system thinking skills' question instruments, concept map rubrics and scores. The resul indicate that system thinking skills in Applied Biology learning content could be equipped to students using the STREAM approach. AbstrakPenelitian mengembangkan program pembelajaran Biologi Terapan menggunakan pendekatan science-technology-religion-engineering-arts-mathematics (STREAM) yang dapat membekalkan kebiasaan berpikir. Kebiasaan berpikir tersebut diantaranya keterampilan berpikir sistem (KBS). Konten Biologi Terapan antara lain pembuatan kompos, nata de soya, dan biopestisida. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada perkuliahan Mikrobiologi pada pokok bahasan Mikrobiologi Terapan. Selama pembelajaran memadukan model siklus belajar 3Es (fase eksplorasi-pengenalan konsep-aplikasi konsep), kooperatif tipe Jigsaw, dan kombinasi metode belajar. Mahasiswa dilatihkan keterampilan proses saintifik dan mendesain (engineering). Produk program terdiri dari modifikasi pada silabus dan modifikasi matriks perkuliahan Mikrobiologi, tugas kinerja (task) pada lembar kerja mahasiswa (LKM), skema pendekatan STREAM, instrument soal KBS, dan skor beserta rubrik peta konsep. Hasil penelitian mengidikasikan bahwa KBS dapat dibekalkan kepada mahasiswa menggunakan pendekatan STREAM.

Abstract

The model of PBL learning is one of alternative way in which can be used to increase the critical thingking skills. The model of PBL learning include, student as participant to so solving problem and for create them as active participant in every solving problem process. In the concept of critical thingking the student aimed to test their ways of solving problem and can aware of mistakes. By using ouasi-experiment design research method and the research itself taking sample in purposive sampling. The population is all of class XI SMAN 9 garut student. The result of research shows that the student’s critical thingking in which the senses material and also with the model of PBL shows the average around 88,51 than KBKr student using PBL model have their without. Abstract

Pembelajaran merupakan cara untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif. Observasi lapangan menunjukkan hasil belajar kognitif materi sistem ekskresi di bawah nilai KKM karena proses pembelajaran didominasi oleh guru bukan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru dan siswa model discovery learning berbantu google meet, menganalisis hasil belajar kognitif model discovery learning berbantu google meet, menganalisis pengaruh model discovery learning berbantu google meet dan mendeskeripsikan respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran model discovery learning berbantu google meet pada materi sistem ekskresi.Metode penelitian menggunakan quasi eksperiment dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Hasil penelitian aktivitas guru dan siswa dengan discovery learning berbantu google meet memperoleh dengan kategori sangat baik, hasil belajar siswa dengan discovery learning berbantu google meet diperoleh nilai post-test yang lebih baik dibanding nilai pre-test. Respon siswa terhadap model discovery learning berbantu google meet memiliki kategori kuat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa model discovery learning berbantu google meet pada materi sistem eskresi berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa.

Abstract

AbstractThe research aims to describe the PDR Plant Morphology learning process, conduct a performance assessment of student image products, and the obstacles faced by students. Qualitative descriptive research method using a sample of one class selected purposively totaling 39 students. The practicum uses a combination of E-Knows Learning Management System (LMS) facilities and other online systems. The research instruments were in the form of rubrics and performance scoring on image products, questionnaires, interview formats, video records of observation activities, and practicum notes. Descriptive data analysis and percentages made on certain criteria. The PDR process includes eight practicum titles through observation of plant parts guided by PDR performance assignments and research instruments. The results of the performance assessment of the image product show a tendency to increase the criteria very well. The student's constraints are mainly regarding the availability of plant materials in the environment and the suitability of the images with plant materials. Students are able to independently do PDR, try to find plant materials around their environment, look for alternative materials, and look for information about plant materials.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the profile of STREM-based science writing skills in pre-service science teachers. The study was done using a descriptive method through a study of STREM-based science teaching materials documentation written by the pre-service science teachers. The target population is the seventh-semester students. Fifty people who are enrolled in the elective course of Integrated Science Learning were selected through Purposive Sampling. Performance assessment of the STREM-based science teaching materials was done using an analytical rubric with a score of 1-4 on the aspect of pedagogic, content, and context. Determination of inter-rater reliability was taken from 25 random samples of teaching materials and correlated their scores using Pearson's correlation. The inter-rater reliability score obtained is 0.938 in all aspects of teaching materials; 0.690 in the pedagogic aspect; 0.976 in the aspect of content; and 0.921 in the context aspect. The score of the teaching materials is then converted in the form of a percentage and interpreted based on certain criteria. The average score of pre-service science teachers' writing skills was 53.3% in the "good" criteria. The writing quality of teaching materials has not yet met the expected criteria from the pedagogic, content, and context aspects. Thus, it is important to develop appropriate learning strategies to improve the writing skills of STREM-based science teaching materials for pre-service science teachers.
