Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran secara menyeluruh dan mendalam dari hasil mengkaji dan menganalisis pemikiran Thomas Lickona tentang hormat dan tanggung jawab sebagai nilai utama karakter yang penting untuk diinternalisasikan kemudian diintegrasikan dan diinterkonelsikan dengan Islam. Metode penelitian ini, menggunakan metode study library research dengan pendekatan integratif-interkonektif, sehingga mampu memberikan gambaran tentang hormat dan tanggung jawab perspektif Thomas Lickona dan perspektif Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gagasan Thomas Lickona tentang hormat dan tanggung jawab merupakan karakter utama yang dilandaskan pada hukum moral. Sehingga hormat dan tanggung jawab dalam pandangan Thomas Lickona dan Islam sangat dianjurkan. Hormat berarti memberikan penghargaan kepada diri sendiri, orang lain, dan semua bentuk kehidupan dan lingkungan yang menunjangnya. Sedangkan tanggung jawab adalah perluasan dari sikap hormat yang menekankan untuk melaksanakan tugas dan kewajiban secara personal, vertikal, dan horizontal. Sehingga urgensi hormat dan tanggung jawab merupakan tempat berpijak untuk mencetak manusia yang secara etis memposisikan diri sebagai bagian dari masyarakat yang menjunjung tinggi sikap hormat dan tanggung jawab dalam kehidupan.

Abstract

The Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) organization is a community organization that focuses on several fields, such as education, social and political. The Nahdlatul Ulama mass organization adheres to the Ahlussunnah Wal Jama'ah (Aswaja) ideology, in which the Aswaja ideology is an understanding that adheres to five sources of law. This paper aims to review the development of Nahdlatul Ulama education in the archipelago to raise the figure of a charismatic scholar, KH. Hasyim Asy'ari (1871-9147). This writing methodology uses library research research with a descriptive approach. The results of this study explain the dynamics of Nahlatul Ulama education to prove that education today is a benchmark for the pioneering education of the colonial era. And the NU organization has great attention to the education sector. Of course, we can see this together from the number of pesantren and madrasas managed by Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). Abstract

Nowdays the problem of moral decadence among students is increasingly concerning. Therefore, character education in the school is very important to be implemented. This study aims to describe and analysis the urgency of the implementation of character education to answer the moral decadence in SMA Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan. This study uses a qualitative method. Observations, interviews and documentation are applied in order to find facts in the field. The results of this study indicate that the practice and inculcation of characters in Al-Ulum Integrated High School Medan is carried out through intra and extracurricular activities by touching the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains of students who are supported by cooperative employees in displaying good character in school. In addition, internalizing character education requires collaboration with various parties so that the realization of character values ​​can be achieved in order to build a better human civilization.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive and in-depth overview of the results of studying and analyzing the thoughts of Ibn Athā'illah Al-Sakandarī about the theory of humanism as the basis of religious ethics. This research methodology, using the library research method with a philosophical approach, can provide an overview of Ibn Athā'illah Al-Sakandarī's thinking tools about the theory of humanism as a basis for religious ethics as a whole and in-depth. The results of the study showed that humanism, in the view of Islam, means to put forward the humanity that applies fairly and lives peacefully amid differences, this is in line with the thought of Ibn Athā'illah based on the Qur'an and Sunnah. Ibn Athā'illah encourages humans to reach the highest level, namely macrifat, where the values of wisdom are a reflection of the theory of humanism as the construction of religious ethics, then Ibn Athā'illah encourages humans to seek knowledge as well as the development of reason. Ibn Athā'illah encouraged humans to develop according to the conditions of the times by not leaving obedience to God. The thought of Ibn Athā'illah was also acceptable in various circles, scientists, workers and so on, besides that with the value of humanism, harmony in society was formed so that Muslims were not in a debate in carrying out his nature as a human being.
