Abstract

This study aims produces a spectroscopic laboratory manual of modern physics, which is valid and practical. This is the development research that uses 4D (four-D model) which is modified into a 3D stage. 4D development model that used includes the steps are defining (define), stage design (design) and stage of development (develop) combined with Tessmer formative evaluation phase which includes the step of self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one and small group evaluation. laboratory manual based on criteria developed practical guides consisting of the title experiments, experimental purposes, the basic theory, tools and materials, experimental procedure, observation data, data analysis and conclusions. Spectroscopic laboratory manual with a simple tool modification has been success developed that divided into four trials that determine the Rydberg constant of the hydrogen atom, determine the energy transition Helium atom, and determines the wavelength of the optical spectrum and the determination of the frequency of the laser beam. Data collected through interviews, expert validation, observation and questionnaire responses of students. Results of the validation test of the three aspects of assessment validator average gain of 4.53 with the category of very valid and the results of the questionnaire responses of students gained an average percentage of 89.28% with a very practical category. The weakness in this study is the lack of prior knowledge of students in using Matlab software and the limitations of the tool so that the pilot phase of respondents using practical tools alternately on each trial. aboratory manual that have been developed can be used by the student in the learning activities by using practical methods, especially in the matter of atomic theories of modern physics course.

Abstract

This study aims to produce interactive multimedia-based learning model ProblemBased Learning (PBL) in the physics subject of fluid dynamic valid, practical, and knowing itspotential effects. The method used is a research development (development research) withmeasures Akker research development which consists of four stages: (1) the stage ofpreliminary examination; (2) the stage of theoretical adjustment; (3) empirical testing phase,and (4) the stage of documentation, analysis, and reflection on the process and results. At thisstage of empirical test using Tessmer formative evaluation model which consists of five stages:(1) self-evaluation; (2) expert reviews; (3) one-to-one evaluation; (4) small group; and (5)field test. The instrument used in this study is the validation sheet, interview, questionnaire,and achievement test. This research has produced an interactive multimedia PBL valid with apercentage score of validity of the product obtained from the validator of 92.75% with a veryvalid category. Interactive multimedia PBL has a percentage score practicality of the productobtained in small group step amounted to 81.15% with the category of very practical. N-Gainobtained in field test step of 0.4 with medium category. Based on the research results, it can beconcluded that the interactive multimedia-based learning model Problem Based Learning(PBL) in physics subject of fluid dynamic developed has met the criteria of validity andpracticality as well as having a potential effect on learning outcomes of students with moderatecategory.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to observe the effect of learning model Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, and Satisfaction (ARIAS) on student learning outcomes in static fluid material. The method used in this study is the method of quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The population of this entire class XI Science SMAN 1 Indralaya and this sample is a class XI Science 1 as an experimental class and class XI Science 2 as the control class in the second semester of school year 2013-2014. Data collection techniques used were tests and observation. The test is used to see the results of student learning and observation sheet to see the feasibility ARIAS learning models and the activities of students. The results of this study the data obtained experimentally class N-gain of 0.68 (medium category) and N-gain control class 0.27 (low category). Data resulting from adherence to the model ARIAS observation sheet shows the percentage of 85% in the first meeting and continued to increase to 100% until the last meeting. Activities of students at the first meeting by 33% and showed an increase up to the last meeting reached an average percentage of 95%. Statistical test results showed that there is a significant influence on the learning model ARIAS student learning outcomes. It can be concluded that the increased activity of the experimental class students learn through application of learning models ARIAS exert significant influence on learning outcomes of students in the experimental class than the control class.

Abstract

It has been successfully develope dan assessment rubric scientific skills  and attitudes. This study aim stop produce the  skills and attitude assessment rubric scientifically valid and practical. The research method use dis a research method development (development research) by applying 4D model sthat include phase define, design, develop, desseminate. Rubric assessment skills and scientific attitudes declared in valid based on the expert valid ation stage expert review with a percentage of 3.58%  for skills assessment rubrics and assessment rubrics 3.74% for the scientific and practical attitude on stage one-to-one with a percentage of 80.91% and 83.79% and a small group with a percentage of 84.73% and 84.75% were tested in senior high school  two state palembang. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded rubric assessment skills and scientific attitudes are ready for use.
