Abstract

Measurement of psychological attributes is an important aspect in Psychology. Related with that, the application of measurement tools-including tests scaling become important. So far, Most of psychological scales apply uni-dimensional scaling model which  is not sufficient to measure double or even multi-dimension of psychological attributes basically. Therefore, it is necessary to apply multidimensional scaling model in psychological measurement. Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) is a method to represent distance distinction of similarity or unsimiliarity between objects. MDS interlace with the situations where the stimulus is various with some dimensions simultaneously. Some methods in MDS including: the method of triads, complete methods of triads, the methods of tetrads, the method of multidimension rank-order, the method of multidimensional successive categories and the method of confusion.Keywords: Multidimensional scaling, uni-dimensional scaling

Abstract

This article is an effort to describe the  from childhood to adolescence. The Fowler’s theory  of faith development  is used as reference. The focus of this article is to answer the question of how children who already developed (learned from child) can later on show doubt in their religion. The failure to overcome the life crisis and social influence is believed to be the important of emergence of  the religious doubts. Keywords: Religious doubt, faith development, adolescence

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out (1) the category of worship performing autonomy (2) the difference of worship performing autonomy based on gender and previous school of student; (3) the correlation between age and the degree of worship performing autonomy The data are collected using questionnaire were involved 100 SMA UII student. The mutli stage sampling that is quota stratified proportional random sampling was used as the sampling technique. Desciptif statistic, T test, product moment correlation from Pearson and Two ways theanalaysis of variance are used as the data analysis technique through SPSS for windows program The result of the several analysis towards the data yields several conclusions (1) most of the SMA UII student were in businessman category of worship performing; (2) there is no difference autonomy of worship performing student based on gender and previous school of SMA UII student; (3) there is no correlation of worship performing between ages and the degreeof worship performing category

Abstract

Abstrak: Fenomena yang terjadi saat ini secara eksplisit menunjukkan terjadinya penurunan etika, moral, dan karakter bangsa. Situasi tersebut mengharuskan dilakukannya reformulasi pada proses pendidikan karakter agar setiap individu dari masyarakat dan bangsa ini memiliki karakter yang diharapkan sebagaimana diamanatkan Pancasila dan Pembukaan UUD 1945. Proses pendidikan dan pembentukannya dapat dilakukan pada tiga institusi pendidikan sebagai tripusat pendidikan, yaitu sekolah, masyarakat, dan keluarga. Dalam konteks masyarakat Jawa, model pendidikan dan pembentukan karakter tercermin dari model pengasuhan yang dilakukan oleh orang tua. Berbagai model pengasuhan Jawa yang sudah dilakukan ketika anak masih bayi, diyakini memiliki kontribusi positif bagi pendidikan dan pembentukan karakter. Abstract

Secara umum tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami dan menganalisis fenomena otonomi moral keagamaan mahasiswa Fakultas Tarbiyah, yang diharapkan dapat menjadi balikan bagi perumusan model ideal pendidikan moral yang sesuai dengan kaidah agama Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus terpancang {embedded case study), dengan mengambil latar Fakultas Tarbiyah UII. Model ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran makna mendalam tentang perilaku keseharian mahasiswa-mahasiswi sesuai fokus penelitian yang diajukan. Pengamatan, wawancara, rekaman audio dan rekaman visual digunakan dalam proses pengumpulan data yang melibatkan mahasiswa dan dosen. Analisis domain, taksonomik, komponensial dan tema digunakan dalam mereduksi dan mengklasifikasi data yang diperoleh u ntuk mendeskripsikan kenyataan empiris. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perilaku kegamaan yang ditampilkan para informan cenderung tidak memiliki otonomi moral keagamaan yang baik, atau masih dalam tahapan heteronomi. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan adanya pelbagai harapan atas pelaksanaan perintah yang dilakukan, ataupun penghindaran larangan. Kedua, dalam memeluk agama tampaknya secara umum informan masih bersifat pewarisan dari para orang tuanya. Ketiga, dalam upayanya untuk membangkitkan otonomi moral keagamaan mahasiswa, dosen melakukan dengan cara himbauan, nasehat, ataupun bimbingan yang diberikan pada waktu-waktu tertentu dan tidak terjadual dalam kegiatan tatap muka di kelas. Berdasarkan pada hasil penelitian diajukan beberapa saran, yaitu: Pertama, adanya pengakuan informan bahwa agama yang dianutnya merupakan agama warisan orang tua mereka, dapat dijadikan sebagai fokus pada penelitian berikut. Kedua, dalam penelitian ini kajian otonomi moral keagamaan dilihat dari sudut pandang agama Islam. Tentunya melihat variasi agama yang ada di Indonesia, sudut pandang penelitian lanjutan dapat dilakukan melalui "kaca mata" agama-agama yang berbeda.

Abstract

Quality is still being the main focus in education. And to improvingthe quality of education is not an easy task, which can be done ina short period and can not rely solely to school it self. In that processmany components that are expected to play an active role, include thecommunity as one of the stakeholders. The society has a significant rolein developing and improving the quality of education in schools. Byadopting the concept of School based management, the community cando the function of supervision of school performance or the function ofassessment in the success of the educational process; and together withthe school to arrange the school budget. In the educational system whichempowering the community, the society could determining the policies tobe taken by the school, the community will have more power to determineor to assess whether or not the performance of teachers and principals isgood enough or not. so in the future we must motivated the society to bea partner of school, and together with school to arrange the activity toimprove the quality in education

Abstract

This paper will discuss learning strategy models which put student as subject of learning. Teacher is expected to take an advantage in using those models to reduce violence in education circumstance. As found in researches and mass media, violence in education circumstances, which is performed by teachers or students, still become high concerns among parents, teachers, and students themselves. One such thing that may cause this violence is learning and teaching approach or strategy by which teachers use. Changing learning and teaching strategy to be more effective and fun will probably reduce those sort of violence in education circumstances, like in schools or universities. The individual character of teachers and students are also discussed in this paper to find other factors of violence in education.

Abstract

The current paper critisizes government’s policy on Islamic religion education implementation, in term of the organizer/ administrator and subject matters. Government Regulation (Peraturan Pemerintah) No 55/2007 explicitly explained about how Islamic religion education and other religions education organized and administered. This paper found that the regulation has several critical points on its implementation, organization, and administration. Therefore, it is urgent for Ministry of Religious Affair and Ministry of Education to make synergic cooperation on implementing Islamic religion education development, whether on its education system, infrastructures, subject materials, and human resource development. If this cooperation appears to be hard to implement, Ministry of Religious Affair better to return its role in managing Islamic education to Ministry of Education. Means, this paper recommends the government to revise the regulation on religions education system.
