Abstract: This study was motivated by the low motivation to learn civics student at SMPN 1 Base Dimples Pelalawan. The problem of pene; otian is: "is there a difference motivation to learn civics that using the conventional method socrates seminar at SMPN 1 Base Dimples Pelalawan?". This study aims to determine the difference motivation to learn civics students who use the conventional method socrates seminar in SMP Negeri 1 Base Dimples Pelalawan.Penelitian District was conducted in SMP Negeri 1 Base Dimples Pelalawan in January 2015. This study is a descriptive research into population kuantitatifyang in this research is class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Base Dimples Pelalawan. The sample in this study was based technique of "purposive sampling".Where take classes in the sample is VIII A (control group) students were given a lecture, and class VIII B (grade Experiment ) students were given a seminar Socratic method and then the data analysis using the homogeneity test and test "t". Research conducted found that there are differences in student motivation anatara Socratic seminars methods and conventional methods in SMP Negeri 1 Base Dimples Pelalawan (t = 8.8 > table = 1.67). Where there is an average increase motivation to learn civics class control of 23.25 into 24.96 and an average increase motivation to learn civics class experiment of 23.12 to 30.25. Thus the hypothesis which says there is a difference motivation to learn civics that using the conventional method socrates seminar at SMPN 1 Base Dimples acceptable Pelalawan Keywords: Motivation Learning, Socratic Seminar

Abstract: This research is in the background by one tradition in Malay society, which tradition is commonly called Safar Bath. The existence of safar bath tradition is currently being carried out in the Malay community of Sungai Buluh Village. The formulation of the problem in this research is how is the public perception of safar bath tradition in terms of the value of Pancasila in the village of Sungai Buluh regency lingga Riau Islands ?. The purpose of this research is to know public perception about safar bath tradition in terms of value of pancasila in rivers river village regency lingga riau archipelago. The population of this study is the entire community in Sungai Buluh Village which is 1745 people and 540 kk. According to opinion (Sugiyono, 2013: 124) To determine the size of the sample then the author uses purposive sampling. Purposive sampling is a technique of taking or determining the sample with certain considerations. Based on the opinion Sugiyono that researchers allowed to determine the desired sample with certain considerations and in harmony with the purposive sampling of 30 people. Data collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and library techniques. In the data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis.Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the percentage of respondents' responses recapitulation answer about the perception of the community about the safar bath tradition in terms of the value of Pancasila in the village of Sungai Buluh sub-district of West Singkep regency lingga Riau Islands, which answered "Yes" 63,6 who answered "No" 36,4% Hypothesis which states that there are values of Pancasila in the tradition of Safar Baths in Sungai Buluh Village, Singkep Barat District, Lingga Regency, Riau Islands.Keywords: Pancasila Values, Safar Bath Tradition

Abstract: discourse to change the Election Law which has authority to elect regional heads returned to Parliament, which means that the implementation of the election is no longer directly, but through representatives who sit in the legislature region. Many opinions arise when the Draft Law on Election by Parliament was published to the public either in the form of acceptance or rejection. As intellectuals, students should be able to read the situation and assess appropriately supported all the knowledge to determine the correct attitude towards a political problem that occurred at that time and be a good example for society. Formulation of the problem in this research is how the attitude of Pancasila and Citizenship Education students of the Faculty of Education, University of Riau on the implementation of Direct Indirect election in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the attitude of Pancasila and Citizenship Education students of the Faculty of Education, University of Riau on the implementation of Direct and Indirect elections in Indonesia. That is the subject in this study were all students of Pancasila and Citizenship Education, the Faculty of Education, University of Riau from 2011-2014 workforce numbering 245 persons and a sample of 152 people. In setting the sample using a sampling technique Slovin is with precision of 5% from 245 students to 152 students. Data gathered through questionnaires, and technical literature. In analyzing the data using qualitative descriptive technique with percentages.The results showed that the number of respondents who answered "agree" to the implementation of direct elections as much as 62.98% in the range of 33.33% -66.67% means that the respondents are approved the implementation of direct elections in Indonesia. As for the elections Indirect respondents who answered "agree" as much as 66.08% is also in the range of 33.33% - 66.67%, the respondents are approved implementation Indirect elections in Indonesia. Abstract: This study was motivated by the influence of student organizations in shaping the character of the students as candidates for the carrier changes. So the student organization is considered appropriate measures to strengthen the soft skills and hard skills of the students to prepare lunch later in the day. Therefore, the authors take the title of the study "Analysis of the benefits of student involvement in Student Organizations (BEM UR Management Study Period 2014-2015)". The aim of this study to determine the benefits of student participation in student organizations. The study population was BEM UR period 2014-2015 amounting to 104 people and a sample of this research amount to 52 people. Data collection instruments questionnaire consisting of 19 statements and interviews consisted of 19 questions. In the analysis of the data, the author uses qualitative descriptive analysis.The results of this study indicate that the UR BEM 2014-2015 period, which can benefit from participating in the organization of visits of students of 52 percent as much as 92.20% of respondents answered yes. The advantages of the most commonly observed by BEM UR No 4 of 19 other advantages, namely on the one hand cooperate to obtain benefits in the form of multi-disciplinary working group (100%). The second advantage to have a responsible attitude (100%).Thirdly, expanding the advantage to improve (100%) and fourth advantage of the possibility of critical (100%). Abstract: The background of this research by declining student character behavior, such as smoking, fighting, truancy, coming late to school, speak dirty, which is closely related to the parents' parenting is based on the level of socio-economic status. formulation of the problem in this research is (1) How the influence of parenting parents of high socio-economic status based on the behavior of the character of students in SMP Negeri 4 Keritang Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir. (2) How the influence of parenting parents of middle socio-economic status based on the behavior of the character of students in SMP Negeri 4 Keritang Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir. (3) How the influence of parenting parents of low socio-economic status based on the behavior of the character of students in SMP Negeri 4 Keritang Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir. Sampling by using purposive sampling by taking 15 students each level of socio-economic status. Descriptive quantitative analysis techniques with multiple linear regression using SPSS version 16.Based on the results of the research, at the level of high socio-economic status, of the significance test is obtained Fcount 7,130 > Ftable 3,59 thus Ho is rejected and Ha accepted, meaning that there is significant influence parenting parents of high socio-economic status based on the behavior of the character of students in SMP Negeri 4 Keritang Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir. at the level of middle socio-economic status, of the significance test is obtained Fcount 3,773 > Ftable 3,59, thus Ho is rejected and Ha accepted, meaning that there is significant influence parenting parents of middle socio-economic status based on the behavior of the character of students in SMP Negeri 4 Keritang Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir. at the level of lower socio-economic status, of the significance test is obtained Fcount 6,267 > Ftable 3,59, thus Ho is rejected and Ha accepted, meaning that there is significant influence parenting parents of low socio-economic status based on the behavior of the character of students in SMP Negeri 4 Keritang Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir.Keywords: Parenting Parents, Socio-Economic Status, Behavior Character.2PENGARUH POLA ASUH ORANG TUA BERDASARKAN STATUS

Abstract:This research is based on cultural assimilation in Tembilahan district, Indragiri Hilir regency between Banjar society and Melayu society as the majority society. The formulation of this research is what is the supporting factors that influence the assimilation process of Banjar society in Melayu environment of Tembilahan district, Indragiri Hilir regency. The aim of this research is to know the supporting factors that influence the assimilation process of Banjar society in Melayu environment of Tembilahan district, Indragiri Hilir regency. The population of this research is 8657 and the sample is 70 with sampling is the process selecting. The data instrument is 25 questionnaire and 6 interview question. The data is analyzed with qualitative descriptive analysis. From the analysis, writer got 51.43% as the dominant answer for chances to be balance in economy aspects, 59.72% for respect the other cultures, 53.21% for the fair attitude from the authorities in society, 55.71% for the similarities of cultural element, and 54.29% for the same enemies from other aspect. Based on Suharsimi Arikunto, dominant is set between 50.01% - 70.00%, so the hypothesis “The Tolerance and Amalgamation Factors toward the Assimilation Process of Banjar Society in Melayu Environment of Tembilahan District, Indragiri Hilir Regency” is rejected or ignored. Abstract : This study is conducted base on the immaximum of public services by Riau Province apparatus. With the existence of Ombudsman representation in Riau province for quite long, show the services are given by the ombudsman are not quite well. Based on the reason of the Ombudsman establishment, as an extention for curing the public services in Indonesia specifically in Riau province. Based on this, the researchers is interested in conducting a study entitled “An analysis of Riau University student’s perception to Ombudsman representation in Riau province”. The question of this study is how the perception of Riau University student to Ombudsman representation in Riau province. The aim of this study is to know how far the roles of Ombudsman representation in Riau in doing they duties, functions and authority. The samples of this study are 180 respondents taken random that consist of 20 respondents for each facullty and using Purposive Sampling . The instruments of collecting data using quissionarre and interview. There are 32 questions which classified 10 questions to tOmbudsman duties, 1 question to Ombudsman function, and about 21 questions to Ombudsman authority. Based on data analysis , the perception of students to Ombudsman duties is very good and reach about 43.28%, in other hand the students perception about Ombudsman function considered not really good and reach around 28.33%. While to Ombudsman authority is in level very good with percentage around 49.29%. From these 3 indicators roles of Ombudsman, about 40.03% students answered “ always” reach 33.34%-66.67%. It can be concluded that the Ombudsman of Repulic of Indonesia for Riau chapter is not really well in doing they duties as an inspector institution for public services.Keywords : Students, the role of Ombudsman.

Abstract: This study is motivated by problems that arise from observationsmade by researchers. Students do not listen to teachers when explaining lessons, fallasleep during school hours, often disturbing friends while studying, lackingconcentration in learning, cheating on exams, doing homework at school. Problemformulation in this research is (1) How parenting pattern? (2) What is student's interestin learning? (3) What is the study habits of students? (4) How does the parentingpattern influence the learning habits? (5) How does parental parenting and learninghabits influence learning interest? The purpose of this study are (1) to know parentalcare pattern? (2) to know interest in student learning? (3) to know the student's learninghabits? (4) to know the effect of parenting pattern to study habit? (5) to know theinfluence of parental parenting and learning habits towards learning interest ?. Thisresearch is useful for readers to add insight and information about education. Thisresearch method is descriptive quantitative with data collection instrument that isquestionnaire consisting of 16 items of parenting and 10 items of interest and studyhabit. Data analysis using multiple linear regression. Thus the hypothesis which states(1) Parenting pattern of parents of SMP Negeri 14 Pekanbaru majority Democraticwith a percentage of 93.5%. (2) Student interest is very high with 75.5% percentage. (3)Student learning habit is good with percentage 57,76%. (4) there is influence betweenparenting parenting to student learning interest accepted. This is evidenced by multiplelinear regression test between variables X and Y, obtained Fcount> Ftable or 3.782>2.77 (5) there is influence between parenting parenting to student learning habitsaccepted. Abstract: This research is examined based on the pancasila as the outlook of the nation of Indonesia. Pancasila not only as a result of someone or group’s thinking like the other ideology as that be ist in the but also it is as a result which derived from custom, cultural and religious values in Indonesia as incase bakar tongkang tradition which is done continiously from generation of the next the genetation by the Chinese community of Chinese ethnic in bagansiapiapi. The formulation of the problem in this research is whether or not bakar tongkang tradition which is done by Chinese community in bagansiapiapi rokan hilir contains values of pancasila in bagansiapiapi rokan hilir. The purpose of this research is to know the values of pancasila in bakar tongkang tradition in bagansiapiapi. Forthismore, the simle of this research is 30 people of the Chinese community which is selected by using purposive sampling theknique. The data were collected by using Questionare, interviews, views and documentations, the data were analyted by descriptive kualitatife’s formula = P = F/N×100% From research pinding’s. It is found that from 30 respondents who stated there is a values of pancasila in bakar tongkang tradition was 89,5%. Then the people who stated no 9,89%. And not answering 0,61%. So it can be concluded that there is a values of pancasila in bakar tongkang tradition in bagansiapiapi rokan hilir. Key Words: values pancasila, fuel barge traditional Chinese society.
