Abstract

The fact that Indonesia is a multi-religious country may lead us to question if there have been initiatives among di?erent religions to dialogue, and if so, who have been the main advocates of this dialogue, what were the issues being discussed and what are the results of the dialogue? This paper tries to answer these questions by analyzing the development of religious dialogue from the Soeharto period to the present. The historical overview will hopefully give us some lessons to learn for the future of dialogue in Indonesia and perhaps also in the neighboring countries.DOI: 10.15408/sdi.v17i3.455

Abstract

Artikel ini meneliti tiga figur ulama kharismatik masa kini yang ada di Kalimantan Selatan. Figur yang diangkat dalam tulisan ini, yaitu K. H. Muhammad Bachieth (Guru Bachieth); K. H. Asmuni (Guru Danau) dan K. H. Ahmad Zuhdiannor (Guru Zuhdi). Ketiga ulama Banjar yang dibahas menunjukkan ciri-ciri seorang tokoh kharismatik berdasarkan teori kharisma dalam sosiologi. Mereka adalah tokoh-tokoh yang memiliki keistimewaan, dan tampil di saat krisis, baik krisis sosial yang tengah terjadi, ataupun krisis kepemimpinan ulama. Masing-masing tokoh memiliki pesona, yang mampu memukau ribuan khalayak yang setia mendengarkan ceramah-ceramahnya. Ia seolah memiliki kekuatan magnetik, yang menyerap orang-orang di sekelilingnya untuk medekat. Meskipun sama-sama memiliki kharisma, masing-masing tokoh memiliki keunikannya sendiri-sendiri. Latarbelakang sejarah intelektual mereka memang tidak sama, meskipun secara garis besar masih berada dalam jalur keulamaan tradisional. Mereka juga menjadi tokoh di wilayah yang berbeda, dengan jemaah yang berbeda pula

Abstract

Abstract This paper discusses the reasons behind the need for the transformation of the Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) Antasari into a State Islamic University (UIN). By analyzing the history of education in Indonesia in terms of tensions between Western (general) education and Islamic education, the paper argues that the transformation is a historical necessity. The transformation should be directed (1) to integrate general knowledge and Islamic knowledge in the university education system; (2) to respond to the social changes in contemporary society, especially the high variety of job markets, which demand professionalism; (3) to be the source of moral and spiritual guidance for society, and (4) to open much more opportunity for people, especially those of the lower class, to have a tertiary education. Abstak  Makalah ini mendiskusikan alasan-alasan di balik kebutuhan tranformasi IAIN Antasari menjadi UIN. Dengan melakukan analisis sejarah tentang ketegangan antara sistem pendidikan Barat (umum) dan pendidikan Islam, makalah ini menunjukkan bahwa transformasi tersebut adalah suatu keharusan sejarah. Transformasi itu harus diarahkan untuk (1) mengintegrasikan pengetahuan umum dengan pengetahuan Islam dalam sistem pendidikan di universitas; (2) menanggapi perubahan-perubahan sosial dalam masyarakat kekinian, khususnya tingginya keragaman lapangan kerja, yang menuntut profesionalisme; (3) menjadi sumber bimbingan moral dan spiritual masyarakat; dan (4) membuka kesempatan yang lebih luas bagi masyarakat, khususnya mereka yang dari kelas bawah, untuk mendapatkan pendidikan di perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

Analisis wacana merupakan salah satu metode analisis yang dikembangkan dalam ilrnu-ilrnu sosial dan humaniora. Analisis ini telah digunakan pula oleh para ilmuan dalam kajian-jaian terhadap agama, khususnya agama sebagai fenomena sosial. Analisis wacana mencoba melihat berbagai pemyataan keagamaan yang muncul di masyarakat, baik di masa lalu atau di masa sekarang, dalam kerangka relasi-relasi kuasa, kepentingan pribadi atau kelompok, dan dampaknya pada kehidupan nyata. Penerapan analisis wacana yang dikembangkan para ilrnuwan dalam kajian literatur, antropologi dan ilrnu kalam menunjukkan bahwa analisis ini cukup membantu bagi pengembangan kejian keislaman. Di sisi lain, kekuarangan analisis wacana adalah kecenderungannya untuk mengeabaikan makna agama sebagai suatu pengalaman batin yang mendalam

Abstract

South Kalimantan, the original home of the Banjarese, is one of the most exclusively Muslim provinces in Indonesia. Therefore, in order to understand this region one should not only study the doctrines and rituals of Islam but also the manifestation of Islam in socio-cultural and political realities.The study of Islam in its social dimensions would provide us the ability to explain, predict and even to some extent control the religious tendencies in society. Based on current statistics and contemporary media reports, this paper presents a number of social issues related to religion that should be scientifically studied such as the historical development of Islam in the region, the role of the ulama, Islam and local culture, local politics and public rituals, drug abuses and the influences of the new media. These contemporary socio-religious issues are very important but still scarcely researched.

Abstract

MULTICULTURAL ISLAM: LESSONS, OBJECTIVES, AND DIVERSITY IN ISLAM. Multiculturalism is a major challenge faced by religions in todays world, given any real religion emerged from the religious and cultural plurality. Indonesia has one of the worlds most multicultural prularis and even for the country consists of distinct ethnic, linguistic, religious, cultural, culture, and so forth. The diversity of culture is encapsulated in the motto Unity in Diversity, which means even different but still one. In the socio-historical, the presence of Islam in Indonesia can not be separated from a multicultural context as can be read in the history of Islam in the archipelago brought by Walisongo. Furthermore, making Islam multicultural topics or discourse is interesting and needs to be widely disseminated. This is at least three reasons. First, the circumstances of conflict. In the midst of circumstances that often conflict, multicultural Islam requires the establishment of the Islamic community who love peace, harmony and tolerance. Therefore, the goal to create and promote the establishment of the situation and the conditions of peace, order and harmony became an important agenda for the people of the world, including Indonesia. Second, the reality that diversity. The religions diversity, ethnic, ethnicity, and language becomes imperative to be addressed by all parties, especially the Muslim community in Indonesia. Therefore, social responsibility is not only on the government but also religious. In other words, peace-conflict societies also rely on contributions creation of a peaceful religious people, including the Muslims in this country. Robert N. Bellah, a sociologist of religion from the United States, said that through the Prophet Muhammad in Arabia, Islam has become a huge multicultural civilization, mighty and awesome to sur pass the greatness of the country the birth of Islam, the Arabian Peninsula. In this context, tolerance and mutual respect for religious differences, as revealed Wilfred Cantwell Smith, needs to be maintained and cultivated. Third, religious norms. As a noble teachings of religion would be a strong foundation for the clergy in general to create conditions so that no profanity. In this case, religious inter pretations is not expected based solely on the text, but also the context of that text can be captured according mean age meaning. The debate between the flow taaqquli are based on the power ratio/reason and the flow of taabbudi which relies on aspects of the text has been represented by two streams, namely Mutazilah and Ashariyah, the lessons of the past can be very interesting.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi hasil observasi awal bahwa pembelajaran sejarah masih menggunakan metode ceramah, tanya jawab dan pemberian tugas pada siswa. Sehingga menyebabkan siswa kurang berpartisipasi aktif atau kurang termotivasi dalam belajar sejarah. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah menerapkan media pembelajaran yang dapat membangkitkan motivasi belajar siswa, yaitu penerapan media realisme dalam pesan visual. Berdasarkan latar belakang masalah diatas, peneliti mengajukan rumusan masalah dalam penelitian, yaitu Apakah ada pengaruh media realisme dalam pesan visual terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran sejarah di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 10 Praya Barat Kabupaten Lombok Tengah Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018?. Dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media realisme dalam pesan visual terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran sejarah di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 10 Praya Barat Kabupaten Lombok Tengah Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Penentuan subyek  dalam penelitian menggunakan metode Study Populasi dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 25 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan eksperimen dengan pola one group design. Metode pengumpulan  data menggunakan  metode  Angket sebagai metode pokok, sedangkan metode dokumentasi dan observasi sebagai metode pelengkap, metode analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik dengan rumus Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian yaitu ( 10.397> -tabel 9,488) dengan  taraf signifikansi  5% dan df=(b-1)(k-1)=(2-1)(5-1)= 4diperoleh  Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima yang berbunyi: terdapat Pengaruh Media Realisme Dalam Pesan Visual Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa Kelas VIII Pada Mata Pelajaran Sejarah Di SMP Negeri 10 Praya Barat Kabupaten Lombok Tengah Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018, artinya hasil penelitian ini adalah “Signifikan”. Kata Kunci: Media Realisme Dalam Pesan Visual, Motivasi Belajar Siswa

Abstract

This research is field research aiming to describe the use of slang among teenagers in Pidie. The method used was descriptive-analytical. The data came from Acehnese-speaking teenagers from various social environments in Pidie, Aceh. Data collection was carried out using uninvolved conversation, interviews with inducement technique, recording and note-taking techniques. The data were then analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques that consisted of several stages, namely selecting, identifying, classifying, reducing, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that teenagers in Pidie use several types of slang: (a) basic word slang, (b) affix, (c) reduplicated slang, (d) abbreviated slang, (e) slang of crosses, (f) reversal, (g) slang from foreign languages, (h) slang resembling a foreign language, (i) euphemism slang, (j) dysphemism slang, (k) code-mixing slang, (l) pun slang, and (m) crossbred slang.
