Abstract

Abstract: Pekanbaru Ressort HKBP Church is the first church in Pekanbaru that was established on January 21, 1952. The church was originally founded on Jl. Church (now Jl. Wolter Mangonsidi), then moved to another location on Jl. Hang Tuah No. 36 Pekanbaru, Sukmahilang Sub-District, Pekanbaru City District and was inaugurated on August 23, 1970. This study aims to (1) trace the history of the Pekanbaru HKBP Ressort Church, (2) to develop the Pekanbaru HKBP Ressort Church to be determined from 1952-2018, (3) to identify the contribution of the Pekanbaru Ressort HKBP Church to the surrounding community and (4) to identify the role of local government in the development of the Pekanbaru Ressort HKBP Church. determine. In this study, the authors use the historical method referred to by the historical method, an approach that draws attention to past research conducted by collecting sources from previous research used as a reference in the history of history. Data collected through observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. Data analysis uses a historical writing method that consists of several stages, namely heuristics, verification, interpretation and historiography. The research time starts from the submission of the title of the proposal to the completion of the author's dissertation. Abstract

This study aims to explain the role of teachers in preparing a tough generation through inculcating an attitude of tolerance in history learning. This research is also important in overcoming problems that occur in society, especially in terms of intolerance. Teachers in their duties not only teach students in building their knowledge, but teachers also have a very important role in shaping and building the character of students, especially the attitude of tolerance in an effort to create a tough generation through history learning. Learning history, which actually has social values, can of course be used by teachers in instilling tolerance in students. It is important to inculcate an attitude of tolerance to create unity and peace in order to reduce the problem of intolerance that often occurs. The method used in this article is through normative research or through literature searches such as books, journals, papers and other sources that are considered to be similar or relevant. The results of the research in this article indicate that the teacher's efforts to instill an attitude of tolerance are by using the Contextual Teaching and Learning method.

Abstract

This study aims to map the needs of students and teachers towards the development of digital books on the local history of Pekanbaru and which is expected to increase the tolerance attitude of students at SMAN 4 and SMAN 8 Pekanbaru. This research is part of development research (R&D) by collecting data systematically directly to respondents through data collection instruments. The process of collecting data is a very important stage in research. The data that has been collected will be used to test the hypotheses that have been proposed in the study where the data were obtained through interviews, observation and distributing questionnaires. The data analysis technique was carried out in a quantitative descriptive manner. The results of the study show that (1) the use of effective learning resourcesused by teachers so far still rely on books and explain with the lecture method. (2) the lack of knowledge of students about the existence of local history in Pekanbaru in this case specifically regarding the history of the HKBP Ressort Pekanbaru Church (3) the attitude of tolerance of students is still low and (4) the development of local history digital books is welcomed by students.
