Abstract

Practically is one way to understand the concept of physics. However, situation of  pandemic COVID-19 make practical work in laboratory unable to implemented. Therefore, use of virtual laboratory is one way to solve this problem. Crocodile Physics is one of the best programs that can use. But this program is not yet well known and has some of obstacles to be operated by teachers and students in Indonesia. So, it takes a media of learning to be a guide in the operation of the program. This study aims to test the feasibility of “E-Lab Module Crocodile Physics-Based POE”. This research uses qualitative research method with R & D (Research and Development) developed by researchers is model 4-D until the stage of development. E-Lab Module is also said to be feasible based on validation of material experts, media experts, and linguists, with an average total score of 90,77% by assessment of the validation of material experts, the average total score amounted to 78.12 % by assessment of the validation of media experts, and the average total score of 83,33% by assessment of validation of language experts, each the result entered on the criteria of “worth”.

Abstract

Physics is one of the abstract subjects that require visualization so that learning media is needed so that students are able to understand the concepts studied. One of the learning media that displays visualization by utilizing technology in the form of educational games. This study aims to analyze the development of educational game learning media in physics learning with a bibliometric approach using VOSViewer software. The method used in this study is bibliometric analysis. There are 6 clusters of classification through VOSViewer software. The results of the study obtained articles used with the title "educational games" and "learning media", as well as the keyword "physics learning" began to increase rapidly in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021. The article was produced from various universities in Indonesia and uses Indonesian. In this study, 4 clusters were obtained that discussed the topic of developing educational game learning media in physics learning. For the topic of developing educational game learning media, it has been quite widely done, but for the topic of the effectiveness of the use of educational games in physics learning, it is still rare for a study to be carried out. Keywords: educational games, learning media, physics learning, bibliometric, vosviewer.

Abstract

Misconceptions in physics lessons are still the main problem faced by teachers and students. Misconceptions of physics occur at various levels of education and many physics materials at the high school level. The results of observation to class XII students in Semarang obtained data that the material on the theory of relativity is material with a low level of mastery of concepts. In addition, teachers also have difficulty in identifying physical misconceptions experienced by students.  Therefore, this study aims to develop an instrument in the form of a Four-Tier Diagnostics Test to identify students' physics misconceptions on the material of relativity theory, determine the level of validity, reliability, and characteristics of the four-tier diagnostics test. The type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The methods used are documentation, interviews, questionnaires and tests. The results showed that the instruments were valid and reliable. The diagnostic test consists of four levels, namely: a question with one answer key and four distractor, the degree of confidence of the answer, the reason, and the level of confidence of the reason. The resulting instrument consists of a grid, work instructions, test questions, answer keys, answer sheets, scoring guidelines, and result interpretation guidelines. Validity testing by expert validators shows the developed instrument is valid and reliable.
