Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using big book media on students' reading literacy in class. This research used a quantitative approach. The research design was a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques using tests and observations. The data analysis techniques were validity, reliability, normality, homogeneity, t-test, and N-gain tests. The subjects of this study were 50 students of grade V consisting of 35 females and 15 males. The results show that there is a significant effect of big book media on the reading literacy of grade V students in elementary schools. The results of the Statistical analysis of the t-count test is 6.349 t-table 2,0. It can be concluded that big book media, is effective on students reading literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of problem-based learning (PBL) models to the critical thinking skills of 5th graders at Elementary School. The method used in this research is classroom action research. In this study, there are two data, namely verbal data and nonverbal data. The research subjects were elementary school students in grade 5 in the city of Madiun. The collecting data using observation techniques, interviews and tests. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire and a test. The data analysis technique in this research is quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis uses questionnaire data and observation, while quantitative data uses test results. The results of this study indicate an increase in students' critical thinking skills in thematic learning from cycle 1 and cycle 2. An increase in students' critical thinking skills in cycle I is 30%, students who pass the Minimum Completeness Criteria, and 60% of the second cycle in each cycle. The more students experience an increase in their critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Limited face-to-face learning which only focuses on giving assignments has an impact on the low interest of students in participating in the teaching and learning process in class. One solution that can be applied is to apply a quizziz-based joyful learning model that can foster student interest in learning. This study aims to increase students' interest in learning by applying a quizziz-based joyful learning model in limited face-to-face learning. This research is a classroom action research with a subject of 10 students. Data were collected by means of observation, documentation, tests and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed an increase in students' interest in learning in pre-action 41%, cycle I by 63.8% and cycle II by 84.3%, categorized as very strong. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the quizziz-based joyful learning model can be used as an alternative solution in learning because it can increase students' interest in learning.

Abstract

Semakin sering seorang siswa menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika, maka dapat membantu siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalarannya, dapat membantu siswa untuk lebih aktif, lebih kreatif, dan dapat menemukan suatu solusi yang tepat dari permasalahan. Agar dapat memecahkan suatu permasalahan, siswa harus mengkonstruksi pengetahuannya sendiri dan aktif dalam menemukan serta mencari informasi yang diperlukan. Banyak siswa yang merasa kesulitan dalam memahami konsep atau materi matematika dan kurang mengetahui cara yang tepat dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Hal ini berakibat menurunnya kemampuan kognitif siswa pada pelajaran matematika. Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektifitas lembar kerja siswa berbasis STEM-PjBL terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitain kualitatif dengan menggunakan desain penelitian yaitu Quasi Experimental Design. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah uji prasyarat dan uji hipotesis. Uji prasyarat meliputi uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Sedangkan uji hipotesisnya menggunakan uji t. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa  >  ditolak dan  diterima. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa lembar kerja siswa berbasis STEM-PjBL lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan lembar kerja siswa yang biasa dipakai guru sekolah dasar.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of pop-up-based animated books on the reading comprehension ability of elementary school students in the 3T region, namely Sawojajar, Magetan, Indonesia. This study employed a quantitative research approach. The method used in this research was the experimental method, using true experimental design as the research design. The type of research design employed in this study was post-test only control design. Grade 5 elementary school students in the 3T region, Sawojajar, Magetan participated in this study. The data were collected using observation, interviews, and reading comprehension tests. The obtained data were analyzed using a t-test. The effectiveness value of using the pop-up book is 6.13%. The t-test shows that the Tcount is greater than the Ttable (2.6667 > 2.00). Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that learning using Pop Up-based animated book media is more effective in improving reading comprehension skills than learning using conventional media.Keywords: pop-up, animation book, reading comprehension skills.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan buku animasi berbasis pop-up dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman membaca siswa sekolah dasar (SD) di daerah 3T yaitu Sawojajar, Magetan, Indonesia. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Desain penelitian menggunakan true experimental design dengan jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah post-test only control design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 5 SD di kawasan 3T, Sawojajar, Magetan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan tes pemahaman bacaan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Efektivitas penggunaan pop-up book adalah sebesar 6,13%. Hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa T-hitung lebih besar dari T-tabel (2,6667 > 2,00). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media buku animasi berbasis pop-up lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran yang menggunakan media konvensional.Kata kunci: pop-up, buku animasi, kemampuan pemahaman membaca.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan hal yang penting untuk menciptakan generasi bangsa Indonesia saat ini. Pendidikan karakter guru mengajarkan kepada peserta didik yang harus memiliki sikap, perilaku, dan moral yang baik. Bangsa Indonesia saat ini membutuhkan warga negara dengan pendidikan karakter yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila, yakni nilai ketaqwaan, nilai kejujuran, nilai kepedulian, nilai etika dan sopan santun. Pendidikan karakter berdampak pada pembentukan cara pandang siswa terhadap berbagai hal dan dari berbagai sudut pandang. Peran pendidikan Pancasila disini menekankan pada nilai-nilai keteladanan bersikap sopan dan santun dengan meningkatkan sisi religious siswa, memberikan bimbingan, dan melatih ketaatan siswa sekolah dasar, patuh terhadap tata krama, norma, membangkitkan rasa cinta terhadap tanah air, demokratios, peduli lingkungan, dan mengajarkan peduli sosial. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif-sosial metodenya adalah wawancara dan observasi. Hasilnya adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi lingkungan di masyarakat dan permasalahan yang sering dihadapi oleh orang tua dan yang mengalami dampaknya.

Abstract

Coronavirus Disease is an infectious disease that first appeared in Wuhan, China in 2019. The widespread spread of the Covid-19 virus in Indonesia has prompted the government to issue a new policy to break the chain of transmission of the Covid-19 virus, namely by calling for online learning to be carried out at home using internet facilities. However, not all schools in the 3T areas in Indonesia carry out online learning well, many obstacles are encountered, in terms of facilities, teachers and students. There are still many teachers who only often use the online learning media Whatsapp group and many assignments from students are sent through the application. Apart from that, in terms of students, students feel bored with using the media, because they only do discussions and download material without carrying out discussion activities with friends or teachers in online learning. Edmodo is an internet-based platform that provides services to help facilitate teachers delivering material and assignments to students. Research Objectives to determine the effectiveness of Edmodo learning media on digital literacy in 3T regional schools. This type of research uses quantitative research. The results of the study show that the use of Edmodo as an effective learning medium for digital literacy in schools. Edmodo as an E-Learning learning medium has advantages and increases interest in learning and makes the learning atmosphere more enjoyable.

Abstract

The use of fertilizers in the world continues to increase along with the increase in population and consumption of agricultural production. Among the available fertilizers, compost is one environmentally friendly fertilizer type. Compost is fertilizer derived from organic materials such as leaves, straw, reeds, trash, grass and other similar materials. The advantages of compost are that it is free of wild plant seeds, free from pathogenic bacteria, easy to use, and provides a variety of nutrients plants need. In making compost, local microorganism starters are required to supply nutrients and as components responsible for maintaining optimal plant growth processes. Therefore, training is required on making local microorganism starters for composting litter waste into compost. Training will be given to youth organizations in Kertonatan Village to increase knowledge and skills in making MOL starters. The method provides technical material about making a liquid starter and direct practice with the audience. As a result, the participants received knowledge and direct practice regarding manufacturing liquid starter (MOL) and litter composting. The training for making Local Microorganism starters for composting litter for youth organizations in Kertonatan Village went smoothly.
