Abstract

HPV infection is known to cause cervical cancer. This study aimed to identify the variant of HPV genotypes of cervical precancerous lesions from low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion  (LSIL) and high grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL). This was an explorative study using formalin fix paraffin embedded (FFPE) from cervical precancerous lesions at Dr. Soetomo Hospital, Surabaya. DNA was extracted from FFPE and hybridized for HPV genotyping using Ampliquality HPV Type Express kit (AB ANALITICA) by reverse line blot techniques. The results showed that there were variants of HPV genotype in LSIL. The variants were HPV16 (8/15), HPV18 (3/15), HPV52 (1/15), HPV6+31 (1/15), HPV6+18 (1/15), and HPV72+68 (1/15), and in HSIL which were HPV16 (4/10), HPV18 (2/10), HPV59 (1/10), HPV6+45 (1/10), HPV61+26 (1/10), and HPV16+31 (1/10). The characteristics of infection in LSIL were single infection of high-risk (hr) HPV and multiple infection of  low-risk (lr)+hr HPV, and in HSIL were single infection of HPVhr, multiple infection of HPVhr+hr and HPVlr+hr. In conclusion, HPV prevalence in cervical precancerous lesions is single infection by HPV16 (48%), HPV18 (20%), HPV52 (4%), HPV59 (4%), and multiple infection by HPV6+31, HPV6+18, HPV6+45, HPV16+31, HPV61+26, HPV72+68 is 4%.

The results of this study were analyzed using the Spearman Rho Correlation test, it was found that video game addiction in adolescents was mild addiction as much as 28.3%, moderate addiction as much as 28.3%, and severe addiction as much as 43.3%. While the need for socializing results obtained low needs of 20.0%, medium needs of 55.0%, and high needs of 25.0%. From the results of the analysis of the two variables obtained p value = 0.002 (<α = 0.05) then Ha is accepted which shows there is a relationship between video game addiction and the need to socialize in adolescents. It is recommended for adolescents to be wiser in following the times

Abstract

The agricultural sector is one type of work that has a high risk for workers. Extreme environmental conditions and the way and use of technology in managing land that is still traditional compared to other regions determine the level of health and safety of farmers. Ergonomics is the science, art and application of technology to harmonize or balance between all facilities used both in activity and rest with all abilities. The sampling technique used is the simple random sampling method. This study is a cross-sectional study. The population in this study was 80 respondents, a sample of 67 respondents. (0.05) which shows that there is a relationship between ergonomic position and low back pain in Karang Tengah Village, Jember Regency. This research shows that the role of occupational health nurses or Occupational Health Nursing (OHN) in agriculture must be increased

Abstract

Introduction: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease (CD) in Indonesia that contributes to high mortality. This disease poses a limitation to self-care. Good self-care prevents complications and improves the quality of life. Self-care application (SCA) is a way to increase understanding of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) clients and their families to improve the quality of care and good management of T2DM clients. Objective: To determine the effect of SCA on improving the quality of care and management of T2DM clients which include blood sugar levels, nutrition management, activity/ exercise management, self aesthetics, and personal hygiene. Methods: A quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study was patients with type 2 diabetes with a total sample size of 50 patients with type 2 diabetes who were evenly divided into 2 research groups. The sampling method used was proportional sampling. The interventions are in the form of SCA with training and mentoring patterns of T2DM clients and their families. Data analysis using independent t-test. Result: The application of self-care had no significant impact on blood sugar stability (p 0.540), was able to improve the quality of nutritional management (p 0.018), improve activity/ exercise management (p 0.000), improve self-esthetic behavior (p 0.000), and increase personal hygiene behavior (p 0.000). Conclusion: Improving the quality of care and management of T2DM due to SCA is directly related to the understanding and awareness of T2DM clients.
