Abstract

The aim of this research is to reveal (1) Computer Model Simulation-based Teaching influences the study results on Solar System Material in the First Year Students of SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak; (2) the influences of motivation to students’ study results on Solar System Material in the First Year Students of SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak; (3) the interaction influences between Computer Model Simulation-based Teaching and motivation to students’ study results on Solar System Material in the First Year Students of SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak. The design of the research used post test only design with two courses factorial analysis 2x2. Advanced hypotheses test used scheffe method. The instruments are study result tests in the form of essay with cognitive indicator. The results of the experiments showed that 1) Computer Model Simulation-based Teaching influenced the study results of Geography on Solar System Material in the First Year Students, with sig scores 0,000 < α = 0,050 and Fcount 18,213 > F table 4,021. 2) Motivation influenced the study results of Geography on Solar System in the First Year Students, with sig scores 0,005 < α = 0,050 and Fcount 8,730 > Ftable 4,021. 3) There are interaction influences between Computer Model Simulation-based Teaching and motivation to students’ study results on Solar System Material in the First Year Students with sig scores 0,038 < α = 0,050 and Fcount 4,553 > F table 4,021. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine: 1) Differences of students preparedness about earthquake disaster in the implementation of comics media and GI model, GI and conventional model at X SMA Negeri 1 Wedi; 2) Students preparedness about earthquake disaster in the implementation of comics media and GI model that is more effective than conventional model at X SMA Negeri 1 Wedi; 3) Students preparedness about earthquake disaster in the implementation of GI model that is more effective than conventional model at X SMA Negeri 1 Wedi.The study is a quasi experimental research. Population of the study is: students of X SMA Negeri 1 Wedi, Klaten. Sample of the study covers three classes which are XB, XF and XC with the total of 69 students. Sampling technique uses simple random sampling, with research plan design posttest only. Data collection employs questionnaire, test, and documentation. Data analysis technique used is ANOVA and a further test Anova. Prerequisite test used are normality and homogenity tests.Results of the study conclude that: 1) There are differences of students preparedness about earthquake disaster in the implementation of comics media and GI model, GI and conventional model at X SMA Negeri 1 Wedi; 2) The implementation of comics media and GI model is more effective than conventional model in the students preparedness about earthquake disaster at X SMA Negeri 1 Wedi; 3) The implementation of GI model is more effective than conventional model in the students preparedness about earthquake disaster at X SMA Negeri 1 Wedi.Keywords: Comics Learning Media, Group Investigation Learning Model, Earthquake Disaster Preparedness.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Distinguish differences of implementation of GI and STAD learning models to ward students critical thinking in learning geography at XI SMA Negeri 3 Sragen in academic year of 2016/2017; (2) Distinguish differences of high and low creativity toward students critical thinking in learning geography at XI SMA Negeri 3 Sragen in academic year of 2016/2017; and (3) Identify interaction of the learning models and students creativity levels toward students critical thinking in learning geography at XI SMA Negeri 3 Sragen in academic year of 2016/2017. The study conducted is a quasi-experimental research with posttest design involving two groups, an experimental group and a controlled group. Population of the study is all students of XI IPS SMA Negeri 3 Sragen 2016/2017 period with sample of the study of an experimental class and a controlled class. Data of the study is collected by using test to measure the critical thinking ability and questionnaire with Likert scale to measure the students learning creativity. Data analysis technique employed is 2 x 2 factorial analysis of variance. Results of the study conclude that: (1) GI learning model has better influence rather than STAD learning model toward the students critical thinking ability in learning geography at SMA Negeri 3 Sragen; (2) The high learning creativity students have better critical thinking ability rather than the low learning creativity students at SMA Negeri 3 Sragen;and (3) There are interaction of the learning models and students learning creativity toward the students critical thinking ability in learning geography at XI SMA Negeri 3 Sragen. The differences of critical thinking ability in learning geography are as follows: GI learning model with high creativity level has the best critical thinking ability, followed by GI learning model with low creativity level, STAD learning model with high creativity level, and the lowest is STAD learning model with low creativity level.
