Abstract

Antenatal care (ANC) is the most effective strategy for preventing complications in pregnancy. However, the current quality of midwife antenatal care services is still considered low. One of the indicators used for assessing midwifery service quality is the technical competency indicator that includes history taking, physical examination, case management and follow up, examination recording, and effective information, communication, and education (IEC). This study aimed to measure the effect on integrated antenatal care training on the quality of midwife services. The design was a pre-test and post-test quasi-experimental study conducted in Manonjaya Public Health Center, Tasikmalaya district, from November to December 2017. Simple random sampling was applied to get 20 respondents for each intervention and control groups. The bivariate analyses used in this study were the paired t test and the Mann-Whitney test. Results showed an overall increase in service quality scores in the intervention and control groups by 5.5% and 0.86%, respectively, with a significant difference in the increase between the two groups (p<0.05). Therefore, there is a significant increase in the quality of midwife after implementing the integrated ANC module and training to midwives.

Abstract

Perineum tears are obstetric tears that occur in the perineum area due to the inability of the muscles and soft tissues of the pelvic to accommodate the birth of the fetus. Perineum wounds that are not properly oversed can inhibit wound healing and result in infection. The level of consumption of nutritious foods affects wound healing in humans, one of which is by consuming snackhead fish (Channa Striata). The purpose of this study is to find out determinant of the acceleration of perineum wound healing in postpartum by giving consumption of snakehead fish (Channa Striata). The research method used is an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach that is a study to study the dynamics of correlation between risk factors and effects, by way of approach, observation or data collection at a time (point time approach), the large sample in this study is postpartum from the first day of childbirth as many as 30 people, sampling technique using Purposive Sampling technique, data collection method is by intervening specifically by giving snakehead fish one day 3x for 10 days, research instruments used in this study are operational standard procedure (SOP) perineum wound healing, data analysis using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. The results of this study showed that the length of healing of maternal perineum wounds is in the category of <=7 days which is as much as 60%, while 40% is in the category of healing length >7 days. Age, parity, education, early mobilization, and types of wounds affect the length of healing of perineum wounds in the postpartum.

Abstract

Knowledge and understanding of the growing toddler and the development of early growth and progression in order to see whether the child is experiencing disruption or delay in its development should have been possessed by the parents since the early age (Sujono Riyadi & sukarmin, 2009: Sudirmanm 2016). The study aims to determine the extent to which parents ' knowledge of early intervention detection is growing children. The type of research used is descriptive, the population of all parents who have children from the age of 0-72 months who come to the Posyandu, samples of 44 elderly, sampling techniques using accidental sampling, research instruments using questionnaires. Data analysis using UNIVARIAT analysis. More than 50% of parents have good knowledge. Advice is expected that all parents can know the growth and development of children so that it can prevent the occurrence of growth delay and development of children.
