Abstract

One of the way to increase the rice production is the development of using hybrid paddy which is can increase 15-20 percent higher than inbrid rice production. This research was aimed at identifying customer wants and preferences of hybrid paddy attributes, applying Quality Function Deployment method in developing hybrid paddy, analyzing price sensitivity hybrid paddy seed at farm gate price. This research was conducted on April to May 2011. Primary data was collected from 30 costumers (rice field farmers that knows better to hybrid paddy and ciherang paddy the competitor) and four hybrid paddy breeders in Balai Besar Penelitian Padi. Quality Function Deployment and Price Sensitivity were applied to analyze the evidence. The results show that the quality of hybrid paddy is need more attention on some attributes. However, the first priority on attribute that should be improved to increase the quality of hybrid paddy is the productivity level.

Abstract

Labor absorption in the cooperative sector in West Java is still relatively low at 10,434 people or 0.05 percent. Based on this fact, the absorption of labor in the cooperative sector can still be increased in line with the program of the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs in implementing total cooperative reform through three strategic measures, namely Reorientation, Rehabilitation and Development. Therefore, it is expected that the absorption of labor in the cooperative sector of West Java is increasing. To find out and see this, this research was done. The categories of respondents in this study are divided into two groups, namely the group of member respondents and the non-member respondent group. The analysis used to see the potential used descriptive analysis, while the Structural Equation Model (SEM) was used to see how much work stress, job satisfaction affect turnover intention for non-member groups of respondents. For the respondent group SEM members were used to see how much work stress, job satisfaction, and turnover intention affect member participation and cooperative development. The results showed that for the non-member respondent group both variables had a significant influence on turnover intention, while for the group of respondents members pointed out that the three variables had a significant direct influence on member participation and cooperative development.

Abstract

Penyerapan tenaga kerja di sektor koperasi di Jawa Barat masih tergolong rendah yaitu sebesar 10.434 orang atau sebesar 0,05 persen. Berdasarkan fakta tersebut, penyerapan tenaga kerja di sektor koperasi masih dapat ditingkatkan sejalan dengan program Kementerian Koperasi dan UMKM dalam menjalankan Reformasi Total Koperasi melalui tiga langkah strategis, yakni Reorientasi, Rehabilitasi dan Pengembangan. Oleh karena itu diharapkan penyerapan tenaga kerja di sektor koperasi Jawa Barat semakin besar. Untuk mengetahui dan melihat hal tersebut maka dilakukan penelitian ini. Analisis yang digunakan untuk melihat potensi tersebut menggunakan analisis deskriptif, sedangkan Partial Least Square (PLS) digunakan untuk melihat seberapa besar pengaruh stress kerja, kepuasan kerja terhadap turnover intention. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap turnover intention.

Abstract

Salah satu jenis kopi yang tumbuh dan berkembang di daerah pegunungan Manglayang Timur, khususnya di Desa Banyuresmi, Kecamatan Sukasari, Kabupaten Sumedang adalah kopi Arabika. Kopi arabika yang terdapat di Desa Banyuresmi merupakan salah satu komoditi unggulan daerah tersebut yang harus dikembangkan dan dipertahankan. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah untuk membantu para kelompok tani masyarakat yang ada di Desa Banyuresmi agar mampu berinovasi dalam pengembangan agribisnis dengan memanfaatkan hasil tani komoditas kopi dari hulu ke hilir dan menjadikan hal tersebut sebagai sumber mata pencaharian berdaya mutu tinggi. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan cara diskusi, penyuluhan, pelatihan, dan evaluasi secara langsung pada para petani dan pelaku usaha kopi. Hasil pelatihan workshop ini mampu meningkatkan keterampilan anggota kelompok tani masyarakat desa Banyuresmi dalam penyediaan pupuk organik dan pengendalian hama penyakit tanaman kopi secara ramah lingkungan. Selain itu, tim pengabdian melakukan pelatihan strategi pengembangan agribisnis pemasaran produk yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan dalam mengolah hasil panennya, sehingga dapat meningkatkan nilai jual produk dan sebagai sumber pendapatan yang lebih tinggi terhadap pengembangan UMKM masyarakat tani Banyuresmi. Hal ini dilakukan dengan cara mengevaluasi sejauh mana perkembangan budidaya kopi terhadap pasca panen kopi dilakukan.
