Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) describe the process of acquisition of library collections in tfaced in the procurement process library materials, (3) attempt to overcome these constraints. The data of this study is the acquisition of library materials in KAPD Padang. The data source of this research is the primary source of oral sources as spoken directly by informants as the original speakers. Data were collected through observation and interviews. The findings of the study conducted acquisition of library materials KAPD city of Padang is onlhe Archives, Library and Documentation Padang, (2) determine the constraints y done through purchase, gift/donation as library materials acquisition.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe about schools in improving student reading Solok City (1) the role of libraries SDIT Iqra' Solok City in improving students reading interest, (2) the books in the library SDIT Iqra' Solok City can serve as supporting the learning process of students class, (3) constraints encountered in developing an interest in reading in the Library SDIT Iqra' Solok City. Data were collected through observation and interviews with librarians in SDIT Iqra' Solok City data required for the necessary methods and techniques of data collection fact that evidence can be obtained. The method used is descriptive analysis. By analyzing the data, it is concluded - following. First, the role of libraries SDIT Iqra' include: improvement of service the library, the school library should provide a collection. Second, the books in the library SDIT Iqra' Solok City can serve as supporting students' learning process, students are introduced directly by the user according to the subject being taught, and the teachers presenting latest book to every student so that students can be interested read books the library school. Third, problems encountered in the development of reading interest in the Library SDIT Iqra'Solok City are: (1) limited collection library, (2) that has not been ideal library space, (3) professionals who have not been fixed. Abstract

The purpose of this paper were to describe the quality of library services and the level of student satisfaction in the Department of Language and Literature of Indonesia and the Region. Data were collected through LibQUAL+TM questionnaires. Based on the results of the data analysis, it was found that the quality of library services of Indonesian Language and Literature and the Regions Department has not been able to meet the expectations of the users. The variables (overall dimensions) showed that users’ minimum expectations was not be able to meet users’ expectation. Only two variables, namely the influence of the service, and the ease of obtaining information were fulfilled, whereas the variable library building, and access to information and the collection has not met users’ minimum expectations. Overall, the respondents do not feel satisfied with the services received. Keywords: library services; user satisfaction; LibQUAL+TM
