Abstract

The present world-wide pandemic may have adverse effects on health, economics, social, and political life as well as on all age stages. The covid-19 treatment efforts have been made by both governments and private governments in the form of vaccinating, improving healthy life behaviour and getting used to health protocols. Teenagers are one of the risky groups either carrier or covid-19 patients, it's because of those with the stage age groups in search of identity and socialize with peer groups. This situation takes youth as a very potential group to transmit to those around them with activities they are experiencing. The purpose of this activity is to give knowledge and technical guidance to students in MAN 1 Padang. As for the methods used in the activity through direct instrumentation and training of materials and evaluation at the time of the operation involving presentations, discussions, demonstration and re-demonstration of the washing of hands and the wearing of masks. The results of this activity are found to be almost entirely to all teenagers participating in the activity can relate to covid-19 and the attempts made to increase immunity in the pandemic of covid-19. It is hoped that youth can change into a creative, innovative young agent who offers input, ideas and suggestions to help promote clean and healthy, by continuing health protocol in the community in a community setting.

Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO), almost 1 million people on 2011 worldwide have hypertension. Hypertension is one of the main causes of premature death worldwide. Proportional Mortality Rate due to hypertension worldwide is 13% or around 7.1 million deaths. In 2020 around 1.56 billion adults will live with hypertension. Non-pharmacological treatment can be used to reduce mortality and incidence of hypertension. One of them is herbal plants that can reduce blood pressure is musa paradisiaca. S. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of consuming Musa Paradisiaca. S on blood pressure reduction. This type of research uses Quasi Experiment withresearch design one group pretest-posttest conducted in Kubu Marapalam District, Andalas Public Health Center, Padang on July 20-25. The population in the study were 266 people with a sample of 15 people, the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. consists of 1 treatment group by giving musa paradisiaca. S to the treatment group in the morning and evening. The tools used in this study are tensimeter (spynomanometer), stethoscope, scales, and observation sheets. Data analysis using normality test, namely shapiro-wilk test and continued with paired sample T-test. Based on the results obtained there is an effect of consuming ambon bananas to systolic and diastolic blood pressure with systolic values p = 0,000 and diastolic p = 0,000. and ambon banana gives a significant difference to the decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure. So it is recommended for hypertensive patients to reduce the use of pharmacological drugs and can be replaced with non-pharmacological drugs, one of which is musa paradisiaca.

Abstract

Nutritional status is an indicator of success in health development in Indonesia. One of the nutritional problems that is still a serious challenge for health workers is malnutrition in toddlers and toddlers. Even though toddlers are the seeds of the nation's future generation. Toddlers themselves are very vulnerable to experiencing health problems as a result of poor nutritional status. Given that toddler age is the beginning of child growth and development. The impact of malnutrition on toddlers is quite diverse, including increasing the risk of infectious diseases, inhibiting the growth and development of children, causing health problems during adolescence and adulthood, and even increasing the risk of child death. This community service activity aims to increase knowledge and develop the skills of pregnant women and toddlers in meeting nutritional needs during pregnancy and toddler nutrition as well as managing healthy eating for toddlers. The methods used in the activity is counseling/education, demonstrations, and competitions for healthy infants and toddlers. The results of this activity helped almost all participants to understand infant nutrition and pregnant women's nutrition and participants were also able to manage food accordingly
