Abstract

The present world-wide pandemic may have adverse effects on health, economics, social, and political life as well as on all age stages. The covid-19 treatment efforts have been made by both governments and private governments in the form of vaccinating, improving healthy life behaviour and getting used to health protocols. Teenagers are one of the risky groups either carrier or covid-19 patients, it's because of those with the stage age groups in search of identity and socialize with peer groups. This situation takes youth as a very potential group to transmit to those around them with activities they are experiencing. The purpose of this activity is to give knowledge and technical guidance to students in MAN 1 Padang. As for the methods used in the activity through direct instrumentation and training of materials and evaluation at the time of the operation involving presentations, discussions, demonstration and re-demonstration of the washing of hands and the wearing of masks. The results of this activity are found to be almost entirely to all teenagers participating in the activity can relate to covid-19 and the attempts made to increase immunity in the pandemic of covid-19. It is hoped that youth can change into a creative, innovative young agent who offers input, ideas and suggestions to help promote clean and healthy, by continuing health protocol in the community in a community setting.

Abstract

Cooperative learning model Explicit Instruction (EI) is a direct instructional model specifically designed to develop students' comprehension of procedural and declarative knowledge that can be taught with the step-by-step pattern. Based on the results of student learning in the subject of family planning services, the average score for each score is as follows: A (14.12%), B (69.41%), C (12.94%), and D (3.52%). This illustrates that there are still some students who get less optimal score. This study aims to determine the effect of Cooperative Learning Model Explicit Instruction (EI) to the students’ learning outcomes of level II in STIKes Ranah Padang Minang. This research is experimental. The population of this study is all second level students of STIKes Ranah Minang Padang (112 students). The sample selection is done through purposive sampling. The class selected to be the sample is class A as the experimental class and class B as the control class. This research was conducted in STIKes Ranah Minang Padang for 2 weeks beginning on July 1 to July 12, 2014. The results showed that learning outcomes’ achievement in the experimental class was higher than those in the control class. This was evident from the difference in the average of posttest experimental score where the experimental class gained up to 80.60 while the control class gained 70.90. After all, it was obtained that the thitung = 5.636 and ttable = 1.994. Because thitung 5.636 ˃ ttable = 1.994, then the hypothesis is accepted. From the research, it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model Explicit Instruction (EI) impacts on the student learning outcomes in Family Planning (FP) subject. It is expected that the lecturers will employ the cooperative learning model Explicit Instruction (EI) in Family Planning (FP) subject and other subjects.

Abstract

Tuna grahita adalah individu yang mempunyai kecerdasan intelektual dibawah normal dan disertai dengan ketidakmampuan adaptasi perilaku yang muncul pada masa perkembangan. Berdasarkan wawancara yang dilakukan terhadap 10 orang siswa di Panti Sosial Bina Grahita didapatkan 7 orang (70%) siswa mengalami penyakit kulit (gatal-gatal, bintik-bintik merah, bentol-bentol, iritasi kulit dan ruam-ruam). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran tindakan personal hygiene pada anak di Panti Sosial Bina Grahita Harapan Ibu (PSBGHI) Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak di Panti Sosial Bina Grahita Harapan Ibu (PSBGHI) Padang sebanyak 100 orang dengan sampel 50 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan cara wawancara yang dilakukan pada tanggal 09 Oktober 2018. Hasil penelitian ditampilkan dalam distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah lebih dari separoh (76%) anak memiliki tindakan personal hygiene dikategorikan baik di Panti Sosial Bina Grahita Harapan Ibu. Diharapkan melalui pimpinan Panti Sosial Bina Grahita Harapan Ibu dapat memberikan masukan pada anak tentang personal hygiene dengan cara memberikan peraturan kebersihan diri yang di umumkan sekali seminggu dan mendatangkan tenaga kesehatan untuk memberikan penyuluhan tentang personal hygiene.

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines stunting as a state of very short stature that exceeds a deficit of 2 SD below the median length or population height which is an international reference (Trihono, et al., 2015). Stunting is closely related to the first 1000 days of life (HPK) period. . The 1000 HPK period is an important period or a golden period for growth and development. 1000 HPK starts from pregnancy until the child is 2 years old. 1000 HPK is called the Window of Opportunity because during this period organ systems experience a very rapid increase in growth and development. Based on data from Basic Health Research (Riskesdas), the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia fluctuated, namely in 2007 it was 36.8%, 35.6% (2010), 37.2% (2013), and 30.8% (2018). Based on Riskesdas, the prevalence of stunting in West Sumatra fluctuated, namely in 2007 it was 36.5%, 32.7% (2010), 39.2% (2013), and 29.9% (2018).
