Abstract

Keberadaan tenaga kesehatan di Desa Bungku belum optimal akibat rendahnya kepercayaan dan akses masyarakat kelompok adat terpencil. Dibutuhkan pendekatan dari masyarakat yaitu pemberdayaan berbasis keluarga yang disebut Pos Pemberdayaan Keluarga (Posdaya). Pengabdian ini bertujuan membentuk dan melatih kader posdaya menggunakan metode diskusi dan praktik berupa demonstrasi, role play atau simulasi antar kader. Edukasi dan skrining kesehatan dasar meliputi materi pengetahuan tentang perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS), pengetahuan tentang penilaian status gizi, dan pemeriksaan kesehatan dasar. Alat yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah poster, leaflet, lembar kuisioner pre-post, pita LILA, tensimeter digital, stetoskop, peralatan P3K, dan thermometer. Gambaran peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan khusus pada kader dilihat berdasarkan hasil pre-post test. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan posdaya dengan anggota kader sebanyak 5 orang. Peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan khusus pada kader setelah dilakukan pelatihan sebesar 4 poin untuk materi PHBS, 5.4 poin untuk penilaian status gizi dan 8 poin untuk pemeriksaan dasar. Diperlukan implementasi lapang untuk mengevaluasi kemampuan praktis kader di masyarakat. Kata kunci: Komunitas adat, Pemberdayaan, Pemeriksaan fisik, Penilaian gizi, Posdaya ABSTRACT The existence of health practitioner in Bungku village was`nt yet optimized, it is due to low in trust and access to health care especially for indigenous group ethnic minority. It takes an bottom up approach throught empowerment family (Posdaya). Posdaya is community empowerment independently conducted from, by and for the community. The aim of this service was to create posdaya for the revival of the spirit of togetherness and mutual cooperation in the community, so that community members can participate and help each other in eliminating their social problems especially in health and environment. The method used focus group discussion and practice, used posters, leaflets, pre post test questionnaire, observation sheets, meterline, scale, microtoice, tensimeter, stethoscopes, first aid kit,and thermometer. The result was posdaya established with 5 members, there were increased knowledge and special skills that is 4 point for healthy living behavior, 5.4 point for nutritional assessment and 8 point for vital sign on health. Abstract

Food services in Islamic boarding schools is a series of activities from menu planning to food distribution, in order to meet the needs and achieve optimal health status of students. It is important to pay attention to the supervision of food preparation because large food products are very susceptible to contamination and cause food borne disease. This study generally aims to identify and analyze the food administration system and food-related diseases at the Ainul Yaqin Islamic Boarding School. This research is a qualitative observational survey method with a descriptive approach using primary and secondary data. Primary data in this study are data taken directly in the field during research. Food production hygiene hygiene data used observation sheets, personal hygiene data for food handlers was known through interviews using questionnaires, data on characteristics and incidence of food borne disease in students using questionnaires and interviews. The results of this research activity indicate that the description of the characteristics and personal hygiene of food handlers at the Ainul Yaqin Islamic Boarding School is still less than the standard both in terms of infrastructure, and awareness and behavior of hygiene sanitation. The sanitation of food management at Pondok Pesantren Ainul Yaqin is not yet organized, and is spontaneous without planning. The description of the incidence of food borne disease in Ainul Yaqin Islamic boarding school has a high risk, seen from having experienced symptoms / indications. As well as food handlers need to be trained on food safety to increase knowledge and practice of hygiene and sanitation. And it is necessary to create a culture of Clean and Healthy Behavior in the lives of the Ainul Yaqin Islamic Boarding School students.

Abstract

Anemia is the impact of nutritional problems on teenager girl. Nutritional anemia is caused by a lack of nutrients that play a role in the formation of hemoglobin, it can be due to lack of consumption or absorption disorders. Only 62% of anemia mothers have received iron supplemented tablets in the working area of Puskesmas Simpang Limbur, while the iron supplemented tablet program for teenager girls in high school has not been implemented. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide information and motivation to teenagers to prevent anemia. Providing information in the form of health education regarding the definition, signs, clinical signs and symptoms and the impact of anemia. The implementation method is in the form of counseling, discussion, practice simulation and pre-post test evaluation. Monitoring evaluation is carried out by looking at the indicators of success in the aspect of target attendance attending every meeting in service and practice activities to the target, reflections and feedback from the participants. The results of the activity show that school support is very good, students' knowledge of anemia is more than 80%. The material still needs to be improved regarding the risk factors for anemia in adolescents. Collaboration with health workers is needed to gain new knowledge on a regular basis, as well as empowering students as youth cadres.

Abstract

Health efforts for children can be done through improving nutrition, especially in elementary school age. Good nutrition will produce quality human resources. One of the important nutrients for growth and development of school children is a protein derived from fish. This service activity applies leaflets and modules in conveying the message of the importance of fish consumption, involving the role of class teachers in transforming the benefits of fish consumption to students on an ongoing basis, exploring the factors that influence children in consuming fish. So that it is expected to increase the knowledge of the target and know the factors that influence the target in consuming fish. The results of this activity concluded that there was an increase in the knowledge of the target group about the importance of fish consumption, but it could not be ascertained the application in daily practice. So it needs to be monitored in its implementation. Knowledge and motivation are not the main factors children want to consume fish, the availability of food made from fish in the home and processing that can increase children's interest in fish consumption is the main factor that needs attention.

Abstract

Education on balanced nutrition is still unknown among the wider community, especially teenagers, therefore it is necessary to convey messages of balanced nutrition. The partner chosen in this outreach activity is the Al Kinanah Islamic Boarding School in Jambi City. Al Kinanah Islamic boarding school is one of the Islamic boarding schools in Jambi City. Islamic boarding schools are educational facilities that not only provide religious education, but also general education and independence for students. Students who live in Islamic boarding schools are accustomed to not using communication tools such as cell phones and television like teenagers in general, so that more information is received from the teachers. Efforts to increase knowledge about balanced nutrition in teenagers require a strategic approach to be achieved effectively and efficiently so that it can be applied. One method that can be used is poster and leaflet media. Based on the results obtained from this activity, it is known that the knowledge of the students regarding the guidelines for balanced nutrition is still low. Even though there is an increase, in general the knowledge of students only gets quite good (average score of 65.33). For this reason, it is necessary to carry out health education, especially nutrition in a sustainable manner, if possible it is included in the Islamic boarding school education curriculum. As well as providing health facilities that can be a medium for health information for students through posters or extracurricular organizations at Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Abstract Posyandu is a form of Community-Based Health Efforts (UKBM) which is managed by the community, especially in monitoring nutritional status. Nutrition status monitoring is important because nutrition influences brain development and behavior, work ability and productivity as well as resistance to infectious diseases. Toddlers are an age group that cannot yet manage their own food so parents need supervision, a group of toddlers vulnerable to malnutrition. So that the proper way of Infant and Child Feeding (PMBA) is important to be socialized. The implementation method is in the form of counseling, discussion, practice simulation and pre-post test evaluation. Evaluation monitoring is carried out by looking at indicators of success in the aspect of attendance of targets attending each meeting at the service activities and practices to the target, reflection and feedback from participants as well as PMBA practice behavior can be implemented by the target. After education, there is an increase in the ability of mothers to practice PMBA simulations. It was concluded that the use of media in providing information to mothers is very effective in increasing the ability of mothers in the correct PMBA so that it is expected to reduce nutritional problems in children. A program that is continuous with supervision by health workers and involves cadres in providing information to mothers of toddlers needs to be done.

Abstract

Buah pedada yaitu buah mangrove yang hidup di perairan payau, bagian dasar dibungkus kelopak bunga, dan tidak beracun. Masyarakat jarang mengkonsumsi langsung buah pedada karena rasanya yang asam.  Buah pedada memiliki beberapa kandungan gizi yang baik untuk kesehatan, namun buah pedada belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Buah tersebut dapat diolah menjadi produk pangan seperti sari buah. Pengolahan dan penyimpanan dapat mempengaruhi kandungan gizi produk. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik kimia pada sari buah pedada (Sonneratia caseolaris) selama penyimpanan. Penelitian ini terdiri atas tiga perlakuan yaitu sari buah pedada tanpa penambahan gula (P1), sari buah pedada dengan penambahan gula 60% (P2), dan sari buah pedada dengan penambahan gula 70% (P3), sari buah yang telah diolah kemudian disimpan pada tiga waktu penyimpan (hari ke-0, ke-3 dan ke-6) pada suhu 7˚C. Pada setiap waktu penyimpanan dilakukan uji karakteristik kimia untuk mengetahui rasio kenaikan dan penurunan zat gizi dan kapsitas antioksidan yang terjadi pada sari buah pedada (sonneratia caseolaris) selama penyimpanan. Karakteristik kimia sari buah pedada selama penyimpanan 0 hari, 3 hari dan 6 hari padaa suhu 70C mengalami kenaikan pada parameter kadar abu yaitu sebesar 0,02% dan serat sebesar  0,81%.  Kadar karbohidrat dan serat mengalami kenaikan yaitu berturut-turut sebesar 0,9% dan 0,81% serta penurunan berturut-turut sebesar 0,2% dan 0,51%. Parameter yang lainnya mengalami penurunan yaitu kadar protein sebesar 0,16%, vitamin C sebesar 3,27 mg dan aktivitas sebesar 0,65%. Sari buah pedada dengan karakteristik kimia terbaik selama penyimpanan adalah pedada 200 g dengan penambahan gula 70%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Monitoring the health status of young women is important. This study aims to identify and analyze the relationship between nutritional status and menstrual status in adolescent girls. This study used a cross sectional study design in SMA N 8 and SMK N 7 in Pelawan District, Sarolangun Regency. A total of 144 young women who met the criteria were taken by total accidental sampling. Nutritional status was determined based on Body Mass Index (BMI) by age. While menstrual status data was obtained by direct interview with respondents using a questionnaire. The data analyzed by univariate and bivariate (correlation test). Based on the results of the study obtained a description of the nutritional status of respondents, namely 91.67% have normal nutritional status and the remaining 8.33% is not normal, namely undernutrition and over nutrition. The majority of respondents' menstrual status is not normal, as many as 118 people (81.94%). Respondents who experienced abnormal menstrual cycles were 61 respondents (42.36%), 56 respondents (38.89%) had abnormal menstrual duration or more than 7 days, 75 respondents (52.08%) claimed to experience menstrual disorders such as nausea, stomach pain and headaches which results in inhibition of activity. There is not enough evidence to state the relationship of nutritional status to the menstrual status of adolescent girls.
