Abstract

ABSTRACT Today, the growth of economic level begins to rise again that is generated by the increase of   different kind of product and different kind of businesses that are offered by both individual businesses that are done easly independently. To deal with all of business trends, the education institution has to prepare the students to be able to set up a business idenpendedntly through the subject of entrepeuneurship.  As it is regulated in Vision and Mision of study program and is also regulated in the curriculum of lectures. This research is aimed at to find out the correlation between the spirit of entrepeunership and motivation , Family background, and education level. Based on the research result, the finding showed that the spirit of entrepeneurship correlated with the motivation and family background. Based on the finding, it was also found that education level did not correlate with that the spirit of entrepeneurship. In regard with the findings, it is important to develop more the motivation of students to touch up the sperit of entrepenuership.  Key words: Entrepenuer, Students, Entrepeuneurship.

Abstract

Self-confidence is a very important aspect for a person to develop his potential. The higher the confidence to speak in English, the smoother it will be to get the expected results. If you liken it, self-confidence is a key to open the door of doubt that has been a hindrance when you are trying to find a way out. The training method carried out is adjusted to the goal to be achieved, namely to increase self-confidence in speaking English. According to the needs of children, the material that needs to be developed at the Bekasi State Children's Light Community Service place was chosen, the theme "Self-Introduction and PostCard Writing in English" was chosen. Speech practice is usually one of the stages that is considered the most strenuous. It needs to be trained continuously to increase self-confidence in children when speaking English.

Abstract

This paper aims to find out the whether introvert students and extrovert students had significant different result in speaking skill, to find out whether the use of memory strategies and social strategies gave significant different result in speaking skill, to investigate whether there was a significant interaction between learning style differences and the use of learning strategies in speaking skill at second semester of computerized program of LP3I Polytechnic Bekasi.. Forty-four students (40) were randomly chosen to get the data of whose styles were extreme introvert and extreme extrovert. Inferential analysis was done by using a two-way ANOVA for hypotheses testing. The research findings showed that there was significant different effect of speaking test between extroverts and introvert. Extroverts performed better in speaking skill. The other finding was that there was not a significant different between using social strategies and memory strategies. As a result of insignificant of using learning strategies in improving speaking skill, it was also found that there was not a significant interaction between language learning style and language learning strategies toward students’ speaking skill.

Abstract

Curriculum vitae is the most important thing when applying for a job, but unfortunately, most applicants cannot win the attention of the recruiters because their profile is too simple. Applicants should tell more about themselves, especially their abilities to pursue the recruiters’ attention. Conducting the training may help the students of PKBMN 23 Jakarta create a curriculum vitae that ATS friendly. By giving them training, hopefully, the participants will be able to create a good curriculum vitae ATS friendly and pass the screening by the ATS software.Keywords: CV, Tips, ATS Friendly

Abstract

A job interview is one of the processes in recruitment. This process is very important because the results of the interview will determine the destiny of job seekers. Preparing for a job interview is very important in order to be successful in winning it. Hence, the ability to deal with interview questions is needed by job seekers. The purpose of this community service activity is to help the students of PKBM Ristek Nusantara Jaya Jakarta in increasing their knowledge of job interviews. Implementing this activity started by providing information about preparing for a job interview and showing them some techniques in dealing with interview questions, and it continued with the activity of questions and answers, then ended with the evaluation activity. By having the knowledge of job interviews, participants can prepare themselves and have the confidence to be able to win a job interview successfully.Keyword : Self-preparation, Self-confident, Techniques of job interview

Abstract

In the recent complex world of professional work, interpersonal skill improvement is essential. It is more than technical skills, the interpersonal skill demonstrates an employee's ability to understand and respond empathetically to the needs, feelings, and desires of colleagues and superiors in his or her profession. Interpersonal skills also include the ability to solve problems and cope with stress effectively. Given the importance of interpersonal skills in work life, companies should look at for people with strong communication skill who can reinforce a positive work culture. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) method in this activity is used to find out the process or systematic steps used as a means to achieve certain goals effectively. The importance of interpersonal skills in the world of work, that one's success is not only produced because of intelligence and value. There are other things that are no less important needed in our life and socializing in the world of work, namely interpersonal skills possessed by a person.

Abstract

The culinary business has been growing so fast and competitively that it needs specific ways to attract customers. The food names, one thing people can directly see in restaurants or cafes, should be attractive and persuasive as they can be used as an indirect advertisement. This research aims at tracing the features of words used in naming foods for restaurant menus and how they fulfill the function of informing, attracting, and persuading customers. This study used a qualitative method to explore the naming of food on the menus of fifty restaurants in Malang, East Java, Indonesia. The finding showed the words related to the element of the ingredient were mostly found in the naming of dishes on the menus. There were food names consisting of only one feature of the word, such as Krengsengan, Lodeh, and Mendol, which were the traditional food names; however, there were also names that used a combination of those features.

Abstract

The capacity to converse is a person's communication talent. In the classroom, English acts as a tool for communication to gather information, and in real-world situations, it is used to build relationships and communicate information. The ineffective teaching strategies utilized by teachers during the learning process contribute to the poor results of English learning. Role-playing is the technique employed in this activity, which is one of the language learning techniques in the application of communication that can forge relationships in social interactions and learning to boost student accomplishment orally in the use of language that includes meaning. There are three steps to this activity's execution. Students are provided a theoretical explanation by the teacher in the initial step. Role-playing techniques are used in English learning and are thought to be very successful. In the process, a number of noteworthy benefits of the role-playing approach of this learning were discovered relative to its drawbacks. Students find role-playing to be an acceptable and enjoyable technique of learning. The participants gained enthusiasm, motivation, and self-assurance in their ability to communicate in English.

Abstract

Verbal-linguistic intelligence is a skill possessed by a person in a language. In learning a foreign language, verbal linguistic skills can support and facilitate the process of mastering the language. Many studies have discussed the role of verbal linguistic intelligence in mastering foreign languages. Some of them are included in the literature review in this article. The results of the review conclude that people who have verbal linguistic intelligence have the potential to be able to use their intelligence to develop language skills. With the ability to remember names and places, a person with intelligence in verbal linguistics can master language quite effectively. In mastering a foreign language, a person who learns a foreign language can use his ability to convey ideas and concepts, so that the combination of the ability to remember words and the ability to convey ideas helps the person master the foreign language effectively.
