Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of the quality of education through academic qualifications and competencies. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques carried out in this study used observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects in this study were students of STAI Ma'had Aly Al-Hikam Malang Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education (2017/2018). The results of this study obtained data that the previous academic qualifications were not appropriate / not linear with basic education, improving the quality of education through academic qualifications and competencies had a positive effect on education in MI.

Abstract

This study purposes to explore curriculum innovation and PAI teaching at SDIT Ahmad Yani in Malang. This research used qualitative approach with four research questions: How does the curriculum innovation, strategy, and media of PAI learning in SDIT Ahmad Yani Malang?  Data collection was ended through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the study are: The Learning used 2013 curriculum with a scientific-based approach, and KTSP curriculum. The model of learning is a goal-oriented, but the majority has lifted towards the process and achievement of competence, although not total. Applied learning methods have also experienced innovation in order to support a smooth learning. Media was used fairly well, but in order to support a smooth and achievement of learning in line with the principles alive in the curriculum applied, this fact needs to be improved towards better, both in terms of accuracy, presentation and materials used.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology demanded young generations to continue adapting to new cultures. This study was aimed to describe students' technology- literacy, students’ interest in social media, and preferred religious figures in online religious studies. This research was a qualitative study using a case study design. The data were collected through observation and interviews with the students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education (PGMI) program in STAI Ma'had Aly Al-Hikam Malang chosen randomly. The result showed that the students’ technology literacy skills were quite good. They had a capacity to use social media optimally, integrative, and instrumentally. Furthermore, the religious figures admired by the students were diverse and came from multicultural.

Abstract

Academic anxiety is often experienced by children in the learning process. have a negative impact on children's academic abilities at school. Parents and teachers are expected to make appropriate efforts to overcome this academic anxiety problem so that children are able to make positive achievements in learning. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a literature study approach, the sources taken are scientific books and research results that have been published as reference materials, with the aim of knowing the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy to overcome academic anxiety disorder in children. . The results of the study stated that cognitive behavioral therapy was proven to reduce the level of academic anxiety in children

Abstract

This article aims to describe students' perceptions of online learning on social interaction. The method used is descriptive qualitative with observation instruments, online surveys, group discussion forums with the research subjects of the 2018 class of PGMI students STAI Ma'had Aly Al-Hikam Malang, Indonesia. The results of the study show that online learning on campus online learning is integrated with SIAKAD and other applications such as google classroom, WhatsApp, Zoom, Jitsi, google meet, etc. for teleconferencing during student presentations and discussions. Students are able to take online lectures well. The student's perspective on online lectures runs quite well despite some obstacles including internet connection, some materials are difficult to understand because they are only given assignments and discussions are carried out through siakad. The impact of online learning on social interactions, among others, is that communication and learning can run well and be flexible, there is miscommunication, and some have difficulty understanding the material.

Abstract

Education is experiencing challenges in the 21st century, all kinds of aspects of human needs are progressing very rapidly, both in science, technology, information, even social patterns of humanity / society. Teachers as professionals aim to implement the national education system and realize national education goals, namely the development of the potential of students to become human beings who believe and fear God Almighty, noble, healthy, knowledgeable, competent, creative, independent, and become citizens democratic and responsible country. Teachers must have competence in carrying out their duties as an educator and as part of the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the views of Mahmud Yunus about the competence of teachers in the book at-Tarbiyah wa at-Ta'lim, and the relationship between the views of Mahmud Yunus in the book at-Tarbiyah wa at-Ta'lim with teacher competence according to Law no. 14 of 2005. This type of research is library research, using a philosophical-historical approach. The philosophical approach is used to discuss the concept of Mahmud Yunus's thought, while historically it aims to study and explain the biography, work and life side of the teacher's competence according to Law No. 14 of 2005 there were four, covering pedagogical competencies, personality competencies, social competencies, and professional competencies. Teacher competence according to Mahmud Yunus can be seen in four aspects, including: pedagogical aspects, personality aspects, professional aspects, social aspects. When linked and adjusted to the current conditions and needs of teacher competence, it turns out to be very appropriate and interrelated, because the thought offered there is a bond of mutual support with current theories of teacher competence, and is very suitable to be a reference in the development of learning processes even relevant to education Islam

Abstract

The research focused on the implementation of character building to improve students’ life skills and the implication of character building on students’ life skills in PPBM. It was carried out using a qualitative approach and case study design in business units of PPBM. The data source of the research consisted of the caretakers, teachers, the head of the vocational training center, and students involved in the management, work, and training in various business units. The researcher collected the data using observation, interviews, open questionnaires, and documentation. The key instrument of the research is the researcher herself. However, the researcher employed research instruments of observation, interview, and open questionnaire to help her during the process. The data was analyzed using description, condensation, categorization, and interpretation processes.The result of the research shows that (1) to improve students’ life skills, character building is carried out by understanding the vision, mission, and objectives of the Islamic boarding school. The learning starts from the production of goods and services using sources and learning media in an extensive way (involving tutors and professionals of certain business unit), internship, independent learning using internet (Youtube, WA, Instagram, and other social media), the practice of management, work, and training in the business units, assessment, and authentic evaluation by involving students in the management and work of business unit; the learning monitoring is done by report and reflection on their performance in each business unit; (2) The implication of character building on students’ life skills includes the developing of students’ individual skill, awareness to live independent, religious competence (praying attitude, being grateful and patient, being responsible, struggling, and serious in work); social competence, namely the competence to communicate, collaborate, and cooperate; academic competence; and vocational competence, namely the competence to work in business unit experienced by students in PPBM.

Abstract

The development of the field of information and technology is very rapid. The world of education cannot be separated from change. The teaching materials needed are currently in electronic form (e-modules), because they can convey more concrete messages through videos and interactive quizzes, so learning is more fun. The research objective is the development, feasibility and implementation of interactive e-modules for PAI subjects in children.The type of research R and D refers to Borg and Gall: 1) research and information gathering, 2) planning, 3) product development, 4) initial field test, 5) initial product revision, 6) further field test, 7) operational production revision, 8) operational field test and 9) field test. The results showed that the assessments of: 1) material experts 92%, very decent category; 2) 85% of media experts are classified as very decent. Random trials, 39 students in small-scale trials and 166 students in large-scale trials showed, the aspects of use were very interesting, access was very easy, very helpful in learning. The usefulness aspect is very clear, the instructions and presentation of the material are clear. Aspects of presentation of questions and appropriate material. Appearances, interesting practice questions, e-module quizzes are effective and very effective in helping to improve understanding. Thus, this interactive e-module is very feasible and can be implemented as a PAI learning media for children.
