Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendahuluan: Pendahuluan: Infeksi Saluran Kemih (ISK) merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan yang sering menyerang pria dan wanita dari segala usia dengan berbagai gambaran klinis dan episode yang disebabkan oleh mikroorganisme seperti bakteri. Umbi bawang suna (Allium schoenoprasum L) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang digunakan oleh masyarakat Kalimantan Tengah sebagai bumbu dapur tetapi juga sebagai obat tradisional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh potensi ekstrak etanol 96% umbi bawang suna (Allium schoenoprasum L) dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Staphylococcus saprophyticus dengan metode difusi cakram Kirby-Bauer.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan true experimental design dengan variasi konsentrasi ekstrak yang digunakan 100%, 80%, 60%, 40%, dan 20% serta kontrol positif Azitromisin.Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil uji Kruskal Wallis nilai signifikansi yang diperoleh untuk bakteri Staphylococcus aureus ialah 0.001 dan Staphylococcus saprophyticus < 0.001 (p < 0.05) yang berarti hipotesis diterima (terdapat perbedaan bermakna).Simpulan: Ekstrak etanol 96% umbi bawang suna (Allium schoenorasum L) mempunyai daya hambat terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Staphylococcus saprophyticus. Kata kunci :        Allium schoenoprasum L, ISK, antibakteri, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus saprophyticus.

Abstract

Infectious diseases are one of the most frequent diseases of major health problems, caused by bacteria are still beinga health problem in developing countries as well as in developed countries. One of the mostly occurred respiratorytract infection is pneumonia, this caused by Gram-positive bacteria Streptococcus pneumoniae. Gastrointestinaldiseases that are often caused by gram-negative bacterial infections Escherichia coli. Local plant which can be foundin Central Kalimantan are Suna onion (Allium schoenoprasum L.). Suna onion (Allium schoenoprasum L.).Researchpurposes. Research was conducted to determine the influence of the Suna’s bulb (Allium schoenoprasum L.) filtratedby aquadest with a simple filtration technique on the growth of Streptococcus pneumoniae and Escherichia usingKirby-Bauer Disk Diffusion method. Method. This type of research is true experimental design research. The designused in this study was post test-only control group design. This research uses 7 treatment groups, with concentrationsof 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 12.5%. Aquadest as a negative control, Erytromycin and Cifrofloxacin as positivecontrols. The method used for testing the antibacterial activity are Kirby-BaueDisk Diffusionmethod.The resultsfound that the aquadest tuber extract of onion cannot inhibit the growth of Streptococcus pneumoniae andEscherichia coli. Conclusion. Aquadest filtrate of onion tubers (Allium schoenprasum L.) cannot inhibit the growthof Streptococcus pneumoniae and Escherichia coli

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries set as a corona disaster emergency with the increasing Covid-19 case. One of the factors that caused an increase in Covid-19 cases was the lack of public awareness in implementing 5-M prevention behavior using masks, hand washing using soap and running water, keeping distance, staying away from the crowd, and limiting mobilization and interaction) in his daily life can be a risk transmission in society. Therefore, an approach was carried out in increasing public awareness of the new normal adaptation in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic condition by promoting the "4G Movement" (Go Green, Go Health, Go Clean and Go Smart) at the UPTD Puskesmas Tangkililing carried out by the Faculty Team Medicine of Palangka Raya University. This activity aims to increase public awareness and understanding of the importance of good health behavior by applying a strict health protocol in the condition of the Covid-19 pandemic as a step in supporting government programs and maintaining personal, family, and community health in anticipation of the spread of Covid-19. It implements this activity in the form of a lecture/socialization, demonstration, free pocket book distribution, and educational video playback in animation. This activity runs smoothly and occurs interactive dialogue with respondents in the UPTD Puskemas environment. The 4G movement is one of the programs that contribute positively and can be applied by the community in increasing compliance in implementing a health protocol.

Abstract

Nematofagus is a soil fungus that can reduce nematode worms and act as a biocontrol. This study aims to determine the type of nematofagus fungus that can reduce parasitic nematodes through a systematic review. The data sources in this study were obtained from google scholar, and NCBI. The results obtained were seven articles stating that the fungus Duddingtonia flagrans was able to kill nematode worms at stage L3, and three journals showed the fungus Pochonia Chlamydosporia could control nematode parasitic worm larvae. Next was the fungus Chysosporium spp, the fungus Trichoderma spp, and Purpureocillium lilacinum. Various types of nematofagus-reduced nematode parasites were Duddingtonia flagrans and Pochonia Chlamydosporia. Fungi have a role that is considered effective in reducing and controlling nematode parasites and can be used as biocontrol.

Abstract

AbstrakHand sanitizer merupakan salah satu bahan antiseptik yang yang praktis agar tubuh terhindar dari penyakit yang disebabkan oleh mikroorganisme. Hand sanitizer berbasis alkohol digunakan berlebihan dan terus menerus dapat mengakibatkan iritasi pada kulit. Kandungan yang terdapat dalam bahan alami sebagai alternatif pengganti alkohol antara lain flavonoid dan terpenoid yang terdapat di daun sembung (Blumea balsamifera). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas gel hand sanitizer dari ekstrak daun sembung pada berbagai konsentrasi. Serbuk daun sembung diekstraksi secara maserasi menggunakan etanol 70%, kemudian dibuat gel dengan konsentrasi 10%, 15%, dan 20% ditambah carbopol 940, TEA, serta metil paraben. Sediaan gel hand sanitizer dievaluasi melalui uji organoleptis, pH, dan homogenitas selama 4 minggu. Setelah itu, dilakukan pengujian daya antiseptik dan aktivitas antimikroba terhadap Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, dan Candida albicans. Sediaan gel hand sanitizer ekstrak daun sembung memiliki konsistensi kental, warna hijau kehitaman, aroma khas daun sembung, homogenitas baik, dan nilai pH 6. Sediaan ini juga memiliki daya antiseptik yang baik mampu mengurangi jumlah koloni hingga 95% sama dengan sediaan gel berbasis etanol. Sediaan gel konsentrasi 20% memiliki zona hambat yang sangat kuat terhadap S. aureus dan C. albicans, serta kuat melawan E. coli. Gel hand sanitizer ekstrak Blumea balsamifera menunjukkan aktivitas antimikroba dan dapat digunakan menjadi kandidat agen antimikroba organik alami.Kata kunci: Antimikroba; Antiseptik; Ekstrak Blumea balsamifera; Hand sanitizer  AbstractHand sanitizer is one of antiseptic so that our body avoids diseases caused by microorganism. Hand sanitizer based on ethanol using continuously can cause skin irritation. The secunder metabolit contained in herbal as an alternative to hand sanitizer based ethanol contained flavonoid and terpenoid, are found in sembung leaves (Blumea balsamifera). The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of hand sanitizer gel from sembung leaf extract at various concentrations. Sembung leaf was extracted by maceration using 70% ethanol, and then gel was made with concentrations of 10%, 15%, and 20% plus carbopol 940, TEA, methyl paraben. The hand sanitizer gel preparation was evaluated through organoleptic, pH, and homogeneity tests for 4 weeks. After that, antiseptic activity and antimicrobial activity were tested against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Candida albicans. The hand sanitizer gel preparation of sembung leaf extract has a thick consistency, blackish green color, a distinctive aroma of sembung leaves, good homogeneity, and a pH value of 6. The gel with a concentration of 20% had a very strong zone of inhibition against S. aureus and C. albicans, also strong against E. coli. Blumea balsamifera extract hand sanitizer gel exhibits antimicrobial activity and can be used as a candidate natural organic antimicrobial agent.

Abstract

Background: Diarrhea is still a major health problem in developing countries and one of them is Indonesia. Having weak antibodies causes toddlers to be susceptible to viral diarrhea. Diarrhea is a contagious disease characterized by symptoms such as: increased frequency of defecation that can occur more than 3 times a day, then there is also a change in the shape or consistency of the stool which turns soft or even liquid, and this can cause vomiting that can make the sufferer have lack of body fluids (dehydration) and if it is not immediately to get help it can cause the sufferer to death. Objective: To determine the relationship between environmental sanitation facilities and mothers’ personal hygiene with cases of diarrhea in toddlers. Methods: The research design used in this study is in the form of a systematic review using secondary data. The data was searched using the PRISMA method, while the data synthesis is using the SPIDER approach. Results: There were 23 journals, the 23 journals consisted of 15 national journals and 8 international journals that were reviewed. Conclusion: There is a relationship between environmental sanitation facilities and mothers' personal hygiene with diarrhea incidence in toddlers. The importance of having sanitation facilities that meet the health requirements and the importance of conducting CTPS to reduce the risk of diarrhea in toddlers.
