Abstract

Strawberry plant (Fragaria sp. ) is any kind of fruit having high economic value. In organic farming can be used fertilizer was made by feses waste cattle in which the waste has can change expensive chemical fertilizer. The lowlands are the vast expanse of land with the level of altitude as measured from sea level is relatively low, it is between 0 up to 200 masl. One of the ground in the lowlands is peaty soil. Therefore this study using peaty soil who are in the Suka Maju Village. The purpose of this research to find out the influence of manure on the growth of early strawberry crops in lowland and to know the best dosage early growth strawberry cropping in the peaty soils. This study using a randomized complete design single factor that is a factor contains chicken manure with 8 level treatment. The treatment is applied namely P1 (200 g chicken manure), P2 (300 g chicken manure), P3 (400 g chicken manure), P4 (500 g chicken manure), P5 (200 g cow manure), P6 (300 g cow manure), P7 ( 400 g cow manure) and P8 ( 500 g cow manure). The results of studies indicate the use of manure to the growth early strawberries (Fragaria sp.) on the peaty soil effect has significant different to the parameters the number of branches and real bearing on the number of parameters leaves age 14 weeks after planting parameters and dosage of the best in the number of the branch of the age of 14 weeks after planting with treatment P8 = 16,68 as well with the dose 500 g, to the parameters number of leaves age 14 weeks after planting is P8 = 65,00 g treatment and 500 g dose.

Abstract

Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) belongs to leaf vegetables with high economic value. However, with the reduction in agricultural land in urban areas because of the transfer of functions to infrastructure and buildings, the number of production has also been reduced, so that the innovation of suitable crop cultivation in cities is needed, one of which is hydroponics. Taking into account the factors of fertilizer prices and urban household waste, water-washed household rice wastes were then raised and banana stumps and chicken manure were combined to become a solution of liquid organic fertilizer which is expected to be an alternative to AB mix fertilizer. This study aims to determine the response of lettuce plants to the administration of LOF and find out the best composition of LOF on lettuce growth. This research was conducted from July to October 2018 in the greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lambung Mangkurat, Banjarbaru. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) of one factor, namely the treatment of the composition of ppm LOF. The results showed that LOF only had a significant effect on wet weight. The best LOF composition in increasing plant wet weight is LOF 450 ppm.

Abstract

Edamame  is included  category vegetable plants (green soybean vegetable) with high economic value and has a fairly good nutrient content for body health. However, soybean production, especially edamame plants in the Banjarbaru area is still minimal so the potential for the development of edamame plants is very large in the South Kalimantan region, especially the Banjarbaru area. As for one way to increase the production of edamame plants by fertilizing. The use of fertilizers is divided into 2 types, namely inorganic and organic fertilizers. The provision of inorganic fertilizers is easy to do with the right amount, but the price of inorganic fertilizers is currently still relatively expensive, so it will increase production costs. Based on the above, the use of organic fertilizers can be a solution to increase the production of cheap and environmentally friendly edamame plants by utilizing cricket manure waste. During this time cricket droppings have not been fully utilized by cricket farmers. Taking into account the factor of fertilizer prices and waste from cricket manure, fertilizer from cricket droppings is raised which is expected to be an alternative to organic fertilizer. This study aims to determine the effect of cricket manure and the effect of multiple doses on the growth and yield of edamame plants. This research was conducted in March to June 2019 in the Kebonan Mas Untung Field, Gunung Kupang Cempaka, Banjarbaru South Kalimantan. The design used is a completely randomized design (RBD) of one factor, namely the dose of fertilizer. The results showed that the application of cricket manure had a significant effect on pod wet weight, plant height and number of leaves. The best dose in increasing plant height, number of leaves and wet weight of pods was K2 treatment 5 tons / ha.

Abstract

One of decreasing factors of rice production are pests and diseases in rice plants (conch, mice, blast, dwarfs). Along the expansion of the tidal field  in South Borneo controled the pest of the rice plants is needs to do  well. To slove farmers' problems, an application was developed to identify pests and rice diseases in the tidal fields by imitating the thinking of a pest and rice plant diseases controller expert to identify a bug or disease and provide a treatment solution. The goal of the study is to create a system that can diagnose pests and diseases of rice plants and analyze the effectiveness of applications to farmers and field agriculture instructor. This study uses the forward chaining method to create an application and in the purposive sampling method with 40 respondents performed in Sub-district Sungai Tabuk in three villages Pamakuan village, Gunung Hirang and Lok Bontar. Results from this study is a system of pest identification and rice disease in tidal fields and the results of the tests of 40 people who responded to 19 chose this application so effective, 20 chose effective,  and 1 chose ineffective. The application testing concludes that the design of the pest and disease identification with expert system on rice plants by forward chaining methods is appropriate as the expect and it is effective to use on farmers.

Abstract

The study aims to find out the effect of the interactions of fermented organic fertilizer applications and plant pesticides on the intensity of disease attacks on the green peanuts plants (Vigna radiate L.) and to out find the sole effect of fermented organic fertilizer application and vegeteble pesticides agains disease attack intensity in green peanuts planst (Vigna radiate L.). This study as implemented on ULM Agricultural Faculty research land Unlam 3 Banjarbaru South Borneo. The study lasted for three months beginning in November 2018-January 2019. This study used a two-factor Random Group (RAK). The firts factor is fermented organic fertilizir (B) with 3 degrees which is 0 tons/ha fermented organic fertilizer, 5 tons/ha fermented organic fertilizer and, 10 tons/ha fermented organic fertilizer and second factor is the applicatons of plant pesticides (A) with 4 degrees which 0 times the application of plant pesticides, 2 times the application of plant pesticides, 3 times the application of plant pesticides, 4 times the application of plant pesticides, repeated 3 times. The results show that there is no effect of interaction between fermented organic fertilizer and plant pesticides. The single factor of vegetable pesticides has no effect on the intensity of leaf spotting disease attacks however, single factor fermented organic fertilizer have an effect on the intensity of leaf-spotting disease attacks at age 30 hst and 45 hst.

Abstract

Gambut merupakan lahan yang tergenang sepanjang tahun, persoalan kemudian muncul manakala lahan gambut alamiah dialihfungsikan. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah mengetahui pemampatan gambut akibat penurunan volume air pada tingkat kematangan yang berbeda, dengan sampel tanah yang digunakan diambil di kawasan gambut Berengbengkel Kalimantan Tengah masing-masing 30 sampel tanah terusik dan tak terusik untuk analisa kadar lengas, berat volume, kadar serat, dan rapat optik yang mana data akan diolah menggunakan program Ms. Excell.  Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif yang menjelaskan hubungan penurunan volume air dengan pemampatan gambut pada tingkat kematanagn yang berbeda di Kawasan Gambut Berengbengkel Kalimantan Tengah Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penurunan volume air atau kadar lengas menyebabkan hilangnya volume spesifik pori sehingga mengakibatkan pemampatan tanah gambut. Pemampatan yang terjadi berbeda disetiap tingkat kematangan. Pemampatan pada setiap kematangan berbeda, gambut mentah (fibrik) akan lebih cepat atau mudah mengalami pemampatan dan melambat pada tanah gambut yang sudah mengalami kematangan, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penurunan volume air atau kadar lengas yang hilang dapat menyebabkan pemampatan dan subsiden pada tanah gambut  Kata Kunci : kematanagan gambut, kadar lengas, kadar serat, rapat optik . Peatlands are areas waterlogged throughout the year. The problems arise when natural peatlands are converted. The aim of the study was to find out the compression of peat due to a decrease in the volume of water at some different levels of maturity. The soil samples were taken from the peat area of Berengbengkel, Central Kalimantan. Each of 30 disturbed and undisturbed soil samples was analyzed for its moisture content, volumetric weight, fiber content, and optical density. The data were then processed using the program of Ms. Excell. The method used in the study was a descriptive method describing relationship between decrease in water volume and compression of peat at different maturity levels in peat area of berengbengkel, central kalimantan. The results showed that the decrease in water volume or moisture content led to the loss of specific pore volume, resulting in compression of peat. The compressions occurring at each maturity level were different from one another. Raw peat (fibric) was quicker or easier to experience compression than the peat soil that had already undergone maturation. Therefore, it can be concluded that the decrease in water volume or moisture content can cause compression and subsidence in peat soil. Abstract

Tanaman sawi merupakan tanaman sayuran yang cukup populer dan banyak ditanam di Indonesia. Petani Indonesia terus meningkatkan produksi dan kualitas tanaman sayur budidayanya, namun mengalami beberapa kendala. Salah satu kendala budidaya tanaman sawi adalah adanya serangan hama utama yaitu hama ulat tritip (Plutella xylostella), oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pengendalian. Pestisida nabati dapat digunakan untuk pengendalian ulat tritip (Plutella xylostella) yang tidak bersifat racun bagi manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh terhadap mortalitas dan waktu kematian ulat tritip (Plutella xylostella). Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dimulai pada bulan April sampai bulan Juni 2021 dan dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Terpadu Jurusan Agroekoteknologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Lambung Mangkurat Banjarbaru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan perlakuan b1 (kontrol), b2 (10% ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh), b3 (20% ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh), b4 (30% ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh) dan b5 (40% ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh). Perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali sehingga didapat 20 satuan percobaan. Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap mortalitas ulat tritip (Plutella xylostella) namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap waktu kematian. Perlakuan terbaik terdapat pada b2 yaitu konsentrasi 10% dengan mortalitas 1,25% dan waktu kematian 1,50 ekor/jam pada pengamatan jam ke 12 dan 0,75 ekor/jam pada pengamatan jam ke 24.

Abstract

Coffee is one of Indonesia’s most prominent agricultural commodities; various coffee plants are produced with the best results from the west to the east of Indonesia. Indonesia’s climate and geographical location are suitable for cultivating the coffee plant. This study aims to determine the level of land suitability and the limiting factors for the development of coffee plants, as well as provide direction/recommendations in the development of coffee plants in Rantau Pulut Village, Seruyan Regency, Central Kalimantan. Land suitability has the potential to be increased from S2 to S1 by managing the limiting factors for the number of dry months and rainfall, SB (Saturated Base), pH, P2O5, and K2O so that the potential land suitability for the study area is S2r. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive survey method with a matching system, namely matching land quality/land characteristics with land use requirements for agricultural commodities to be developed.
