Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Business Administration Competition on student learning motivation, emotional intelligence and increasing competence of students' global competitiveness. The variables of this research are the BAC Competition (X1), learning motivation (Y1), emotional intelligence (Y2) and increasing competence of students' global competitiveness (Y3). This study used a quantitative approach using a sample of students in Business Administration study program who had participated in BAC competitions at both Polibatam and National levels. Data processing techniques in this study used SPSS 20 software. The population in this study were all students who participated in BAC which consisted of Secretarial competition, Meeting design competition, MC competition, Business presentation competition, Web design competition, Business data processing competition and Business plan. . The sample size of 28 students was determined by purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by means of questionnaires and observation. Data analysis was performed using descriptive analysis and simple linear regression. The results of this study concluded that there is an effect of the BAC Competition on each variable of learning motivation, emotional intelligence and increasing competence of students' global competitiveness.

Abstract

Pencatatan persediaan menjadi sangat penting bagi perusahaan atau institusi untuk mengetahui keluar masuk barang atau persediaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan perbaikan manajemen persediaan dan memberikan rancangan layout gudang di Teknik Perawatan Pesawat Udara (TPPU) Politeknik Negeri Batam dengan tinjauan Project-Based Learning. Penelitian ini merupakan applied research dengan pendekatan deskriptif eksploratif. Penelitian merupakan penerapan project-based learning dengan matakuliah Akuntansi Keuangan Dasar II dan Pergudangaan & Persediaan antara Program Studi Akuntansi Manajerial dan Logistik & Perdagangan Internasional. Hasil penelitian ini berisi hasil perbaikan manajemen persediaan (update stock opname dan pencatatan), rancangan material request form, issue request list, inventory stock card dan rancangan layout gudang.

Abstract

Construction projects are generally the most high-risk businesses, especially shipbuilding projects. Efforts to reduce the risk can be done by minimizing the potential risk. This study aims to see potential high risk and prevent delays in the completion of ship construction using the Critical Path Method CPM at PT. XYZ. By using the Critical Path Method CPM critical paths can be given more attention so that they will not interfere ship construction projects. In addition, it is also a form of anticipation if there is a delay, it is possible to reschedule.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the performance of the queuing system at SPBU 14.294.722 Vitka Poin, Batam City on Pertalite fuel for motorcycles. The performance of the queuing system was analyzed to whether it has reached the optimal level. The data were collected through interviews and observations. Then, the obtained data were analyzed using a single line queuing system (single-channel, single-phase). The study used quantitative data in which the calculation was assisted by the "POM-QM Queuing Analysis" software. Based on the result of the single-channel single-phase analysis, the performance of the queuing system applied by the 14.294.722 Vitka Poin, Batam City gas station is optimal. It is because the server utilization level or the average operator's busyness level for 7 days is 72.11 %, and the remaining 27.89% of the busy time is idle time, which is the time when the service is not performed. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of performance at the 14.294.722 Vitka Poin, Batam City gas stations is quite good by referring to the average time required by customers in the queue which is only 0.0139 hours or 0.8322 minutes, and the time required by customers in the system is 0.0192 hours or 1.1541 minutes, and the average number of customers waiting in the queue is only 1.846 or 2 people and the average number of customers waiting in the system is 2.5857 or 3 people. The results indicate that there is no need for additional servers as the performance of using 1 server is quite good.

Abstract

Di dalam gedung TFME terdapat kegiatan yang digunakan sebagai tempat produksi dan praktikum mahasiswa Jurusan Elektro yaitu produksi material PCB. Salah satu area yang sangat penting adalah area gudang. Tempat Penampungan Sementara Limbah B3 menyimpan berbagai material penunjang produksi dan menyimpan berbagai jenis bahan kimia. Namun, gudang untuk bahan kimia dan material non-kimia di gedung TFME masih berada di satu tempat yang sama. Sehingga, perlu diadakan penelitian terhadap lokasi gudang yang lama dan solusi – solusi baru yang dapat diimplementasikan pada Tempat Penampungan Sementara Limbah B3 yang baru. Dalam penelitian ini di desain Tempat Penampungan Sementara Limbah B3 dan SOP dalam penyimpanannya.

Abstract

Increasing the number of residents in the city of Batam is a strategic goal in developing an entrepreneurial and business climate. This is in line with the development of micro, small and medium enterprises in Batam City. The purpose of this study is to analyze the needs for culinary tourism that are in demand by the community, especially millennials in Batam City. G-Coffee is a culinary tourism object that has a place with a contemporary design. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative which aims to dig up information about Digital marketing management at G-Coffee for the needs of the community in terms of culinary tourism, this will later increase competitiveness and a wider market in its marketing strategy to face the era of society 5.0 where digital transformation has changed various habits and ways of life of society and industry including realizing Digital MSMEs. Based on research results, currently G-Coffee is very strong in the use of social media, especially to attract their customer segment which consists of students and students. In the future there needs to be a specific strategy that needs to be developed so that G-Coffe can still compete with its competitors.

Abstract

Pemerintah Indonesia memandang penting keberadaan para pelaku UMKM dengan melakukan berbagai upaya-upaya dalam meningkatkan daya saing UMKM. Sebagai kota industri, jumlah UMKM di Kota Batam berkembang cukup pesat akan tetapi banyak usaha yang terdampak akibat pandemi selama dua tahun belakangan ini. Sebagai salah satu usaha dalam mengurangi dampak tersebut dari sisi akademisi yaitu dengan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat serta penelitian. Salah satu hasil penelitian terkait yaitu penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Hati dan Anishafitri tahun 2021 tentang analisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pendapatan UMKM selama pandemi. Hasil dari penelitian tersebut dilanjutkan dengan mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini mengenai Peningkatan Kinerja UMKM Bidang Manufaktur Melalui Pendampingan dan Edukasi Pengelolaan Persediaan Bahan Baku. Topik pengabdian yang diajukan disesuaikan dengan roadmap pusat kajian UMKM, gender dan disabilitas. Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini juga akan dikolaborasikan dengan PBL mata kuliah Logistik & Rantai Pasok, Pergudangan & Persediaan, K3 & Lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dalam beberapa tahap yang dimulai dari diskusi dengan pelaku UMKM terkait dengan kebutuhan mereka mengenai sistem pengelolaan persediaan bahan baku serta akan dilaksanakan pula pemberian edukasi dan pendampingan dengan menggunakan video-video edukasi yang dikembangkan dan pelaksanaan webinar bersama para pelaku UMKM di Kota Batam.

Abstract

Transportation is something that is very close and cannot be separated in today's life. Facilities are elements related to the level of satisfaction of service users. The availability of adequate facilities encourages passengers to feel satisfaction with the company's performance. The research uses quantitative analysis methods. The aim of this research is to determine the significant influence of facilities, service quality and price perceptions partially and simultaneously on Trans Batam user satisfaction. This research found that partially facilities (X1), service quality (X2) and price perception (X3) had a significant influence on passenger satisfaction (Y). From the test results, the calculated F value is 155,889 with the F table being 2.65 so that the calculated F value > F table or 155,889 > 2.65 and the significant level is 0.000 < 0.05, so H4 is accepted, it can be concluded that simultaneously the facility variables (X1), service quality (X2) and price perception (X3) simultaneously influence Trans Batam Bus passenger satisfaction.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh para pelaku UMKM di Kota Batam adalah kurangnya akses terhadap informasi dan pengetahuan yang dapat membantu mereka dalam meningkatkan kinerja dan pendapatan usaha, terutama dalam bidang pemasaran digital untuk meningkatkan brand value. Oleh karena itu, rumusan masalah dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah bagaimana pemanfaatan digital marketing dan media sosial dapat dioptimalkan untuk meningkatkan brand value UMKM serta berdampak pada peningkatan kinerja dan pendapatan. Tujuan khusus dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu memberikan literasi dan edukasi digital yang diperlukan oleh UMKM di Kota Batam untuk meningkatkan brand value serta berdampak pada peningkatan kinerja dan pendapatan dan membantu UMKM memanfaatkan teknologi yang ada saat ini secara mandiri. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini akan diselesaikan dalam 6 tahapan. Adapun tahapannya yaitu; studi literatur, identifikasi kebutuhan, pembuatan rencana pendampingan, pelaksanaan pendampingan, evaluasi dan penyusunan laporan. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini ditargetkan dapat diselesaikan hingga bulan Desember Tahun 2023.
