Abstract

The role of human resource management is continously improved to enhance the performance of employees. PT GSI, as one of Indonesian company producing shoe products to meet demand from all around the world, needs employees with high performance. On the other side, the employees need reasonable compensation and safe work environments. This research is conducted to investigate the relationships and the effects of the compensation and work environment variables on the job performance. Using causal descriptive research method, samples of 77 units are randomly taken from 328 labors at the Quality Inspection Production Divison. The questionaire comprising eighteen questions is applied to explore the employee minds and perceptions on the relationships and effects of the compensation and work environment variables toward the job performance variable. The result of this research shows that compensation (X1) and work environment (X2) variables simultanously effect to the job performance variable (Y). The linier regression equation constructed is represented by Y = 4,375 - 0,181X1 + 0,382X2.

Abstract

AbstrakSpasi : 1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Pemilihan lokasi untuk wilayah pengembangan pelabuhan tergantung pada beberapa faktor seperti geologi, sedimen dasar, kedalaman, gelombang, arus dan sedimentasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan informasi tentang kondisi oseanografi agar dapat menunjang dalam kegiatan pengembangan wilayah pesisir maupun pengembangan suatu pelabuhan. Penelitian ini hanya sebatas memberikan informasi tentang sebaran jenis sedimen dasar yang berupa pasir, lanau dan lempung dan kondisi arus yang berada diperairan Semarang – Demak. Data yang diambil merupakan data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer meliputi data arus yang didapat dari pemasangan alat ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler) di dasar perairan dan sedimen perairan yang diambil dengan alat sedimen grab, sedangkan data skunder berupa data peta kontur kedalaman lokasi penelitian dan peramalan pasang surut pada bulan penelitian. Untuk analisa butir sedimen diketahui bahwa jenis sedimen, di dominasi oleh jenis pasir, dengan persentase dari 50 % sampai dengan 95,55 %, %, kandungan lanau dengan kisaran  4,45 % sampai dengan 41,55 %, sedangkan lempung kisaran antara 0 % sampai dengan 12,42 %. Jenis arus yang mendominasi di perairan Semarang adalah arus pasang surut dengan persentase dominasi arus pasang surut sebesar 84,079 % dan persentase dominasi arus residu (non pasang surut) sebesar 15,921 %. Kecepatan arus maksimum dalam pengukuran adalah 0,184 m/detik pada arah 212,8 NE, dan kecepatan arus minimum adalah 0,002 m/detik pada arah 333,4 NE. Dapat di artikan  arus perairan relatif tenang.
