Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat skema Kuliah Kerja Nyata Pembelajaran dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (KKN-PPM) yang diusulkan oleh tim pengusul ini adalah pengabdian masyarakat di bidang kesehatan yang dilaksanakan di Dusun Metro, Kabupaten Karanganyar, yang melibatkan kader Kesehatan di wilayah setempat dalam mengelola Kesehatan di masa pandemi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan kader dalam mengelola pasien hipertensi dan mencarikan solusi pengelolaan masalah kesehatan di wilayah tersebut, serta memberikan edukasi terhadap pencegahan paparan virus Covid-19. Tahapan kegiatan ini diawali koordinasi dengan pimpinan wilayah setempat untuk pengkajian kebutuhan masyarakat. Tahap kedua berupa usulan program kegiatan sebagai solusi permasalahan mitra. Tahapan ketiga berupa edukasi pada kader kesehatan setempat untuk pengelolaan masalah-masalah kesehatan yang dialami warga. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini diikuti oleh 10 orang kader kesehatan, dengan rincian 7 orang (70%) berusia dewasa awal dan 3 orang (30%) berusia dewasa akhir. Pasca Berakhirnya aktivitas edukasi tersebut, mayoritas (80%) kader kesehatan di Dusun Metro menunjukkan pemahaman yang baik dalam pengelolaan pasien hipertensi dan pencegahan terhadap paparan virus Covid-19. Lebih lanjut, menurut mitra, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di Dusun Metro memberikan manfaat yaitu berupa peningkatan pengetahuan kader kesehatan dalam mengelola pasien hipertensi dan pencegahan terhadap paparan virus Covid-19 serta meningkatkan fasilitas sebagai upaya pencegahan paparan Covid-19.

Abstract

Penyandang disabilitas adalah bagian dari masyarakat yang memiliki hak yang wajib dihormati, dilindungi dan dipenuhi, termasuk hak mendapatkan pendidikan. Kampus inklusi berupaya mewujudkan pemenuhan pendidikan tinggi bagi penyandang disabilitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan situasi kontemporer penyandang disabilitas di lingkup perguruan tinggi Indonesia. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan telaah literatur, yang bekerja dengan memilih artikel melalui proses penyaringan pada tahun 2020-2021. Proses telaah dilakukan pada database online yaitu Proquest. Ada sepuluh artikel yang ditelaah yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi. Berdasarkan analisis dari artikel tersebut ada beberapa komponen tantangan dalam mewujudkan kampus inklusi. Pertama, pandangan masyarakat dan diskriminasi yang menilai bahwa prasyarat mutlak untuk mewujudkan visi hidup secara optimal adalah dengan memiliki kesempurnaan tubuh. Kedua, perlunya dorongan bagi pemangku kebijakan untuk memenuhi sarana, prasarana serta sumber daya manusia serta kebijakan dalam menyelenggarakan kampus inklusi. Ketiga, manajemen pembelajaran dan sumber daya manusia. Keempat, aksesibilitas layanan kampus yang ditujukan untuk melampaui prasyarat formal sebuah perguruan tinggi dalam menerapkan konsep kampus inklusi.

Abstract

Introduction -Tuberculosis is one of the main problems of infectious diseases in the world and Indonesia is ranked third in the world. Efforts to prevent transmission are carried out in various ways, both preventive and promotive efforts. Health education is carried out to increase public awareness of this disease. Elementary school students are good targets for increasing knowledge and self-efficacy, so that they can have an early awareness of this disease. Giving material classically is one of the methods used to deliver material about TB to students. This study aims to determine the differences in knowledge and self-efficacy of elementary school students about tuberculosis before and after being given classical material. Methodology - This was a pre-posttest quasi-experiment without a control study. with a target of 52 elementary school students grades 4-6 at SD Kembangan Bantul. The sampling method is total sampling. The intervention given is an hour-long classical offline lecture. The questionnaire developed by the researcher was used to measure the knowledge and self-efficacy of the respondents before and after the intervention. Data analysis using Wilcoxon from the Jamovi statistical program application. Results: there was an increase in the average self-efficacy value after the intervention although it was very low, but the knowledge score between before and after the intervention decreased. Conclusion: The impact of this counseling is that counseling has a positive impact on children's self-efficacy, although it does not have much effect on children's self-efficacy

Abstract

Objectives: While smoke-free policies aiming to protect passive smokers have been identified, some works need to be carried out to implement the policy into stronger regulation. This policy transformation, as the key to policy implementation success, should be considered by researchers and public health advocates to elaborate an effective way of delivering the policy messages. Study Design: This article describes the way Muhammadiyah Tobacco Control Center (MTCC) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta assisted the local government to transform smoke-free policy and its relevant accomplishing measurement into an intense enforcement action by involving a multi-sectoral approach and community. Methods: This research is an independent study, reflecting an evaluation of smoke-free project assisted by Muhammadiyah Tobacco Control Center to the Local Government of Yogyakarta City. Results: We discussed the role of multi-sector of the local government upon their policy interpretation and collaboration to reach our vast community in understanding and further implementing the smoke-free policy by their awareness. In addition, we provide a model of community engagement to support policy implementation and evaluation (monitoring process). Conclusion: As the conclusion, a comprehensive public health communication can enhance the program of policy enforcement and gain support from policy-oriented audiences.
