Abstract

In this study describes a circuit to detect the location of a fault line short 1 phase network. The single power supply that emits a voltage of 12 V will be converted into 2 voltage sources, namely voltage (+) and voltage (-). This voltage is used to supply a parallel resistance circuit which functions to find the difference in voltage to be measured. The difference in voltage is sent to the op amp. The op amp used is IC TL084 CN which has 4 op amps and only 1 op amp is used. After outputting the voltage from the op amp, it is sent to the interface (ADC). The signal emitted by the op amp is still an analog signal. While we use a PC that can only receive digital signals. So we need a series of interfaces (ADC) so that the PC can receive signals from the circuit. The cable used to send the signal uses an RS 232 cable or a serial USB cable. After the PC receives the signal via a serial USB cable, the signal is processed in Visual Basic 6.0. Before testing the tool, calibration is carried out first so that the resulting data results are more accurate which will be displayed in Visual Basic 6.0

Abstract

Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) is a proposed maintenance program based on a decision to collect data from factory condition measurements. CBM is an attempt to save money by carrying out essential inspections only when something odd happens in production. Data acquisition (information gathering) refers to the process of capturing and storing data or information that is useful for CBM purposes during the data acquisition (information gathering) stage. This is the most basic step in implementing a CBM program to identify and predict equipment failures. This study aims to see Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) level 1 on substation equipment. CBM applications are used to streamline the storage and monitoring of inspection data equipment by observing machine/work equipment parameters, such as vibration measurement, oil level, temperature, pressure, flow and ultrasonic flow detectors. The research approach used in this study consisted of three steps, namely literature review, testing, and observation by processing data using the mean life Calculator (LM). There are two types of treatment and condition data collected in the CBM program. Based on the results of monitoring with CBM at the PT PLN Persero Berastagi substation, incident data consists of information about what happened (damage, installation, inspection, etc.) and what has been done (repair, prevention, oil change, etc.). ) in less than a month.

Abstract

An electrostatic precipitator is a technology that removes residual ash from burning before being released into the atmosphere. The ionization process occurs on to flue gas inside electrostatic precipitator which then collected by collecting plate. Flue gas ionization is one thing that affects the efficiency of an electrostatic precipitator. The purpose of this research was to understand the effect of an overhaul on the efficiency calculation of electrostatic precipitator in Banten 3 Lontar OMU Power Plant. This research uses quantitative research methods with descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The data source used is the performance test inspection report data as well as technical data on unit 2 electrostatic precipitator obtained from PLTU Pangkalan Susu Lontar Power Plant. Data will be analyzed based on the calculation of total efficiency and the inspections into the electrostatic precipitator which affect voltage efficiency. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, the total efficiency of the electrostatic precipitator and an increase in voltage applied into discharge electrode will increase dust removal of electrostatic precipitator’s efficiency. Based on inspection data of unit 2 electrostatic precipitator of PLTU Pangkalan Susu Lontar Power Plant, overhaul tends to results in increasing voltage value from 36.25 kV into 50.06 kV. The value of the total efficiency of unit 2 electrostatic precipitator after the overhaul is 76%.

Abstract

Along with the increasing demand for electricity use in Indonesia, especially north Sumatra, PT. PLN (PERSERO) built a coal-fired steam power plant. With the existence of this steam power plant, it can help the country's electricity supply, especially in Sumatra. As is known that steam power plants are plants that have a high potential for equipment damage, especially the Balance of Plant (BOP) area. Therefore, a team is formed that can overcome and identify equipment damage with certain tools, called the Predictive Maintenance team. Predictive Maintenance (PdM) techniques are designed specifically to help determine the condition of equipment assets used as a reference for predictions for when asset maintenance activities should be carried out. Predictive Maintenance (PdM) is a form of maintenance that directly monitors the condition and performance of equipment during normal operation to reduce damage or failures in the future. The main tools used for Predictive Maintenance are Vibration Meter and Infrared Thermography. And the equipment has standards or limits resulting from trending measurement data and also has international standards as a reference. There was damage to one of the Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment, which is Demineralized (DM) Pump that causes the supply of demineralized water to the unit to be reduced and the unit load cannot be increased to maximum. With predictive maintenance (PdM) analysis, it can be quickly identified that the damage was in the drive end (DE) motor bearing of the demineralized equipment (DM) pump. Replacement of bearing on the Demineralized motor (DM) can maximize the performance of the unit so as to make an electrical energy saving of 1,095,360 kWh. In addition, it also has financial benefits of Rp. 681,781,917,-

Abstract

Automatic system is a process to control the operation of an a tool that can automatically replace the role of humans. One of the industries that is also experiencing rapid progress is in the field of parking (Smart Parking) for vehicles, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles. The current parking system still uses a lot of conventional parking systems that only utilize parking lots and parking attendants who control each incoming vehicle and also often do not pay attention to the capacity of the parking lot owned by a building. The research describes a design to build a parking prototype to make it easier for drivers to find empty parking slots. The tool that will be built will start when the car enters the parking area and is detected by the TCRT-5000 sensor, then the servo opens the gate at the command of the Arduino and the driver looks for an empty parking lot. The driver can see the empty parking slots through the parking application that is connected to the database through the Esp 8266 NodeMcu. The LCD will issue an output in the form of letters and numbers.

Abstract

The performance of a synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM) depends on the direct axis inductance (Ld) and the square axis inductance (Ld) of the machine. To achieve a high torque density and power factor, increasing the saliency ratio Ld/Lq and making this inductance difference (Ld-Lq) large enough is a well-known method. Otherwise, the performance of the motor will remain below that of a similar induction engine using a similar stator. This study attempts to place the right amount of permanent magnet in the rotor in the right position, it will be possible to achieve a significant increase in the performance of permanent magnet-assisted SynRM (PMa-SynRM) which will be comparable to an induction machine with the same stator. The PMa-SynRM will benefit from the reduction in price due to the use of a conventional induction machine stator.

Abstract

Load imbalance in an electric power distribution system often occurs in the field. This is a single-phase load on different Low Voltage Network subscribers due to the large number of additional electrical loads that do not pay attention to system load imbalances. As a result of this imbalance, a current appears in the neutral of the transformer. The current flowing in the neutral of this transformer causes losses (technical losses/losses), namely losses due to the neutral current in the neutral conductor of the transformer and losses due to neutral current flowing to the ground. By realizing PHB SR (Connecting Equipment for House Connections) it is able to balance the load on the Low Voltage Network on a regular and continuous basis so as to reduce technical losses (losses), simplify the Splicing Field in technical connection of House Connections (SR) on the Pole, improve aesthetics and neatness Network System.
