Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the income of peanut’s farm in The Second Kanonang Villageat Kawangkoan District. Primary and seconndary data are used and analyzed by making use ofdescriptive analysis and R/C ratio. Results of this study indicates that: (1) the average revenue of peanutfarmers is Rp6.053.800 and the average cost of Rp 3.182.577 so that the average income received byfarmers is Rp 2.871.223 per one time of planting, and (2) the R/C ratio (1.90) is greater than one, showedthat the average income received by farmers is relatively favorable.

Abstract

ABSTRACTJefianty Oktaria Perangin - angin. Perceptions of the Highlands Vegetable FarmersOrganic Fertilizer in Rurukan Vilage Sub District East Tomohon. Under the guidanceOctavianus Porajouw as chairman, and Johnny A. Tuyuwale and Caroline B.D.Pakasi as members.The objective of the study is to determine perceptions of highland vegetable farmersto organic fertilizer. This study uses primary data and secondary data. The primary dataobtained through interviews with farmers based on a list of questions (questionnaire), whilethe secondary data obtained from the format of the report profiles the village, Village officeRurukan. Data analysis method used in this research is descriptive, by calculating theaverage score of each answer given by the respondent.The results was this study indicate that the perception of farmers on organicfertilizer in Sub Rurukan still not good. This is due to the high level of complexity to obtainorganic fertilizer, organic fertilizer is also less cumbersome than inorganic fertilizers, aswell as the selling prices of vegetables using organic fertilizer that was low also becausefarmers in Rurukan was not obtained organic vegetables certified.Based on these results, it can be concluded that highland vegetable farmers'perceptions towards organic fertilizers are still lacking, so many farmers are using organicfertilizers into reuse of inorganic fertilizers. Hence the need for further dissemination of thelocal government, to provide counseling about the benefits and advantages of the use oforganic fertilizers. The government should also pay more attention to the needs of farmersin the use of organic fertilizers, so that farmers can apply organic fertilizer at maximumlevel.

Wangke,MS, as MembersThe objective of this research is to determine the role of group member indeveloping of farmer group.The data used is primary data obtained from interviewing all members ofMahsawasawangan and Pinaesaan farmer groups. The interviews are guided by a list ofquestions that had been prepared before. Sampling method used is census method. Thenumber of member of Pinaesaan farmer group are 10 people and farmer groupMahsawasawanganare 9 people . Data is analyzed descriptively and presents in tabularform.The research result showed that the role of Pinaesaan farmer group members wasmore active Pinaesaan than Mahsawasawangan farmer group member that could be seenfrom the level of attendance at the activities that had been done . Therefore, the role ofPinaesaan farmer groups more advanced and more developed than Masawasawanganfarmer group.For Mahsasawangan farmer group , the level of activity of members in eachactivity were less than 50 percent , perhaps due to the average age of the members wereover 60 Years and the capacity ofhuman resources were low because most of the memberswere graduated from primary school. so that the farmer groups Mahsawasawangan lessdeveloped compared with farmer groups Pinaesaan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTRatih Mawarni Amin, Level of Labor Productivity of Agriculture Sector in North Sulawesi Province. (Underguidance of Oktavianus Porajow as a Chairman, Charles R. Ngangi and Yolanda P, I Rori as members).The objective this research is to determine the level of labor productivity in the agricultural sector in North Sulawesi. This research was conducted for three months starting from July 2014 until September 2014 in the North Sulawesi Province. The source data used secondary data obtained from agencies associated with this research that the Central Bureau of Statistics in North Sulawesi Province. This analysis used descriptive analysis and the ratio between Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and the amount of labor.The results of this study showed that labor productivity in the agricultural sector of the North Sulawesi in 2012 was 12.11 million rupiah / worker, compared with 2008 which only amounted to 8.94 million rupiah / worker. Productivity of labor was likely to increase from 2008 through 2012.

Abstract

ABSTRACTCHRISTIAN H. Meray / 050314044, 2014. Performance Agricultural Extension Workers in Rural District of Kakas Pahaleten. Thesis. Under the guidance of Benu Olfie L.S, (Chair), Gene H.M Kapantow, (Member 1) and Oktavianus Porajouw, (Member 2).This study was conducted to determine the performance of agricultural extension field in the village of Kakas Pahaleten Subdistrict. It is expected that the results of this study may give an idea to obtain information as input to the government on the performance of Minahasa District agricultural extension so that its presence can be really helpful in improving the welfare of farmers.In the implementation of this study, respondents were taken as 1 extension and 7 farmers taken at random sampling from the three groups of farmers. This is done in order to determine the respondents obtained information from sources related to the purpose of this study.There are two factors that affect the performance of agricultural extension are internal factors that include age agricultural extension, education level, and years of agricultural extension while external factors include the availability of the necessary infrastructure, systems and shelter appreciation agricultural extension. Performance and success of agricultural extension is measured by 9 indicators: agricultural extension programs according to the needs of farmers, agricultural extension work plan in respective work areas - each, territory map data for location-specific technology development with region commodity, agricultural technology4dissemination evenly and according to the needs of farmers, empowerment and self-reliance of farmers and farmer groups, business partnerships between farmers and entrepreneurs are mutually beneficial, farmers' access to financial institutions of information and marketing of agricultural inputs, increase the productivity of agri-commodities on each seed - each work area, increase revenue and welfare of farmers in each region.The results of research on the performance of agricultural extension in the village of the District Kakas Pahaleten can be categorized either, as seen from the 9 indicators into the performance benchmarks extension plus the assessment of farmers to extension itself.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Vicky I. Suluh. Economic Value of Nutmeg Plant in Kauditan Village, Sub- district Kauditan North Minahasa Regency. Under Guidance Benu L.S Olfie, as a Chairman and Lyndon Pangemanan, and Octavianus Porajouw as members.  The objective of this research is to calculate the economics value of the nutmeg plant with a productive life of plants.  Range of plants : 8 - 19 years, 20 - 30 years and  > 31 years based on the cost calculation and revenue of nutmeg farming according to the current price. Case study is on farmers in Kauditan village, Kauditan Sub distric North Minahasa Regency. This research is conducted for 3 months (November 2012 - January 2013). The source of the data in this study were obtained from primary data and secondary data. The primary data obtained through interviews with farmers based on a list of questions in the form of questionnaires and equipped with secondary data which is obtained from relevant agencies such as the office of the Department of Agriculture of North Minahasa. Methods of data analysis in this research is descriptive analysis  using the data collected and presented it in tabular form. The research results showed that the Nutmeg farming with age of plant 8- 19 years  with an average 90 productive trees, the average revenue is  Rp.43.143.000 and the average of cost is Rp.7.935.333 with a value of R / C ratio is 5,43 and the average economic value Rp.479.366. For plants at the age of 20-30 years with an average number of 75 productive trees, the average revenue is Rp.33.191.667 and the average of cost  Rp. 7.733.000 with R / C ratio of 4.29 and average of economic values Rp.442.555 and the plant for age> 31, with  213  productive trees, the average revenue is Rp. 96.000.000 and the average cost of Rp.17.511.000 with a value of R / C ratio is 5.48 and the average of economic value Rp. 450.704. This ratio illustrates that  the economic value of each Rp.1,00 expenditure in the nutmeg farm will generate revenue of  Rp.5,43 to plant of age 8-19 years. The plants for 20 – 30 years, it generate 4,29 and for the plant > 30 years it generate 5,48   potential revenue.  To develope the bussines of farming, every farmer is required to make a detailed of costs and revenues in the form of bookkeeping and  role of goverment especially extension agencies to guide farmers to run their farm business.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  The purpose of this research is to identify the strenght, weakness, opportunity and threat factor in chocolate processing industrial in cacao seeds basis development agro-industry and how the development agroindustri strategy of cacao seeds in research area. Data collecti for four months starting from november until march 2015. The data used is primary and secondary data, primary data were obtained through abservation and through direct interview with respondents, namely, cacao farmers, cacao seeds collector, manager and workers and industrial agency. And secondary data were obtained through literature study such as books, journals, internet and relevant agencies. The data analysis with SWOT analysis.  From the research result was obtained: (1) result of internal enviroment analysis shows that there are five strenght factors namely, the availability of lots of cheap local labor, good skils in labors, tools and strategic location and using a high tecnology. Internal enviroment also has five weakness factor namely, there’s a lot of untrained labors, total production depends on demand, does not have certrificated for the products and not yet marketed, lack of capital and lack of industrial partnership with other agencies. The result of external enviroment analysis shows that there’s five factors can become an opportunity namely, there is no similiar efforts around the site/location, Bolaang Mongondow is a cacao producers as the main ingredient, there’s a support from the goverment, numbers of population keep increasing and a shopping lifestyle, availability of electricity, good infrastructure and communication. External enviroment also have four threat factors. Namely, increase prices of main ingredient, minimal help and support given, rivality with other products with the same main ingredient and threat of a new comer. (2) strategy of development cacao basis agroindustry is agressive strategy. Namely, keeping up the strenght to overcome the weakness inside it and also has opportunity and strenght to develop, like producing continously, taking advantage of technology to increase additional prices to cacao seeds, taking advantage from the regency government, facilities and infrastructure to promote various products, inventing a new variation, doing partnership with financial institution to increase funds and assets, gain a halal label, increase partnership in work, improve products quality and additional variations in order to facing competition, optimising the productions and to fasten the streamline of the products facility to overcome the impact of raising funds for productions and also to obtain a product certrificated and agressively doing promotions in order to reach easiness of marketing and inviting investors.     Keywords : Strategy, Agroindustry

Abstract

ABSTRACTRice production of North Sulawesi province in recent years has increased , but it can not compensate for the increase in demand for rice due to the increase in population and per capita consumption of rice. Therefore, until now North Sulawesi is still a deficit-rice region and this2affects the achievement of self-sufficiency in rice. The objective of research is to determine the conditions of production and the needs of current and projected rice production and rice needs in period 2012-2030 . The data used in this study is time series data from 1996 to 2011. Population growth , crop area , production and productivity . are analyzed descriptively using the table , the tool used in data processing program is Microsoft Excel 2007 .The result of the research showed that development of production and demand for rice in North Sulawesi fluctuated from year to year tend to increase very year . During the 16th -year period of North Sulawesi still could not cover the needs of rice .projection and production and need for rice in North Sulawesi at the average population growth of 1.42 percent per year during the 2012-2030 was deficit .the average population growth of 1.28 percent per year in 2012-2020 North Sulawesi is still in deficit despite the declining rice and this area will be self-sufficient in rice in 2025-2030. While of the average population growth of 1,1 percent per year of the next 19th years, North Sulawesi would have a rice surplus.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effect of the use of agricultural land to food security. This study was conducted in North Minahasa Regency, and the data used was collected from various government agencies in North Minahasa Regency, including the Food Security Agency, Agriculture and Livestock Office, and Building Permits Office. The data was then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the use of agricultural land in North Minahasa decreased due to the increase in non-agricultural use, and could affect the food security. However, the current food security in North Minahasa was still in positive trend because due to the increase in productivity and the effect of growing season change.

Abstract

ABSTRACTMusperi Menggasa. Marketing Margin of Tomato (Lycopercicumpryformer) in Kolongan BehaBaru andVillage, West Tahuna sub District. Under Guidance of MF. Sondakh as a Chairman, Grace A. J. Rumagit, O. Porajouw as members.The Objective of this research is to study the marketing margin of tomato (Lycopercicumpryformer) in Sangihe Regency. This study uses a purposive sampling method and then sampling from the farmers is traced to marketing agencies of tomato by using snow ball sampling method. This study is analyzed descriptively by calculating the magnitude of each channel marketing margin and profit margin.The result of this research showed that marketing agenciesin Kolongan Beha Baru Village consisted of Farmers, Retailers, collecting trader and Consumers. Marketing channels freely selectable means direct marketing agencies can choose which marketing channels are more profitable. While the marketing channel is Zero Level channel (Farmer-Consumer), Level One Channel (Farmer-Retailer-Consumer) and Level Two Channel (Farmer-Collecting Traders- Retailer-Consumer).Tomatoes marketing margins in Kolongan Beha Baru Village Channel Level I was Rp. 333.3,- with an average profit margin earned by each marketing agencies was 12.5 with a selling price at the retail level is the purchase price at the consumer level. The average value of marketing margin of tomato in Kolongan Beha Baru in Channel Level II was Rp. 4.833.3, - with an average profit margin earned by each agency marketing was Rp. 1.701.6 . The low value of the profit margin was affected by the value of marketing costs. Thus the best marketing channels was level one channel.
