The data used was secondary data, collected from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) both at Kotamobagu City Office and North Sulawesi Province Office. The data was then analyzed using the contribution formula, the growth formula, and Location Quotient (LQ).The results showed that the agricultural sector was not the biggest contributor to the regional economy of the East Bolaang Mongondow Regency. The results of the study alsonoted that the development of the agricultural sector to the GRDP showed an increase from the year 2008- 2012, with the largest increase occurred in 2010 with the growth rate of 6%, and in 2012 it reached 4.66%. This could mean that the agricultural sector in the East Bolaang Mongondow already had good productivity. From the LQ analysis, it was shown that Agriculture was a base sector in the East Bolaang Mongondow, meaning that the role of agriculture in the East Bolaang Mongondow was larger compared its role in the province of North Sulawesi. Moreover, within Agriculture sector, it was shown that forestry, plantations and farms were the leading subsectors.

ABSTRACTThe objective of this study in to determine the effect to Crop Production OfFood Price Index in Manado this study uses secondary data. The data used is obtainedfrom the Office of the Central Bureau of Statistics of North Sulawesi Province, in theform of time series data. Analysis of data using multiple linear regressi on models toexamine the relationship between production of food crops, with food price indeks inManado city. The results of research showed that the effect of Crop Production Of Food PriceIndex in Manado City is influenced by two variables, the production of food crops inthe city of Manado and food crop production in North Sulawesi Province outside ofthe city of Manado.Based on regression analysis, it can be concluded that the F-value equal to 2,07with a significant level of 0,197 which means the production of food crops in the cityof Manado and food crop production in North Sulawesi city of Manado out jointlysignificant effect on food price index. Determinant coefficient ( ) of 0,521 indicatedthat 52.1% of food price index is affected by the variables the production of foodcrops in the city of Manado and food crop production in North Sulawesi Provinceoutside of the city of Manado. Regression coefficient for the variable crop productionin the city of Manado was positive it means that the variable is 0,07058 cropproduction in Manado City but had a significant effect on food price index withP=0,092, but the regression coefficient for the variable crop production in NorthSulawesi Province outside of the city of Manado -0,0003927 was negative whichmeans variable crop production in North Sulawesi Province outside of the city ofManado had a significant effect on food price index in the city of Manado withP=0,090.

The plantation commodities in North Sulawesi had competitive and comparative advantage. The implication of ths fact showed that those commodities were feasible to be produced due to the efficiency in using the domestic resources and those commodities were feasible to export. Coefisien Domestic Resource Cost (DRC) for Coconut commodity (0.321), Vanilla (0.343), Nutmeg (0.195), and Clove (0.701) was below one and smaller than shadow price, indacated that those commodities were efficient in using domestic resource and had comparative advantage. Effective Rate of Protection (ERP) for Coconut commodity (-0.679), Vanilla (-0.657), Nutmeg (-0.805) and Clove (-0.229) was negative, indicated that those commodity were not needed effective protection and those commodity were privately profitable.   Keywords :  vanilla, coconut

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This study aimed to analyze whether the population, agricultural land area and economic growth affected the inequality of income distribution in North Sulawesi.  Results of themultiple linear regression analysis gave the coefficient of determination (R2) of 92.3 %.  which included population, land area of agriculture and economic growth as independent variables.  Furthermore, from the three independent variables, only population and economic growth gave significant effect to the Gini Ratio. Judging from the direction of the impact, an increase in economic growth would lower the Gini Ratio, while an increase in the population would also increase the Gini Ratio inNorth Sulawesi. keywords : Income Distribution
