Abstract

The development of computer technology both in software and hardware is very fast. These two aspects are interrelated with each other and cannot be separated. LTSP, Linux Terminal Server Project is a project started by James A McQuillan as a diskless networking project based on the GNU/Linux operating system. Called a diskless network, because the client is not equipped with a hard disk. All application software and operating systems needed by the client computer are served and managed by the server computer. In this design, a laptop with an Intel processor is used as a server and a PC as a client. LTSP will be integrated into the Linux operating system ubuntu 16.04, and as a provider of diskless thin client service platforms is LTSP (Linux Terminal Server Project). With LTSP, the construction of a diskless network is expected to be more efficient. Diskless network technology is one solution that can be applied in dealing with the problem of investing in computer technology hardware with predetermined specifications.

Abstract

Quality of Service (QoS) on Live Streaming has the main parameters, namely bandwidth, jitter, loss and delay, which are measured on the implementation of Wireless IP Camera based on Android Smartphone. The test tools used iperf and ping software, to capture data packets. The network design in this study uses Xonz Wireless IP Camera, wifi router, Server/Laptop and Android Smartphone to monitor or access the services provided. Surveillance/reconnaissance or surveillance by accessing live streaming can be done from anywhere as long as there is still an intranet network. wifi router provides DHCP service, Server/Laptop provides a Virtual Machine using MS Windows Server 2003 Operating System. Web Server is not installed on Real Machine but on Virtual Machine. The smartphone used has the Android Operating System version 4.4.2. IP Camera Xonz model XZ-12Z-HR/W has one major drawback that it can only be accessed via Internet Explorer Browser which can only run on MS Windows Operating System. Some applications that are already available on Google Play and installed on Android Smartphones cannot detect the Wireless IP Camera. The outcome or impact of this research is the creation of a simple Live Streaming application that can be accessed by all browsers on all platforms including Android Smartphones. Measurements were made using iperf and ping. The results showed that the Xonz IP Camera can still be used for mobile room monitoring as far as a maximum of about 20 m from the wifi router and still meets the standard QoS values ​​set by TIPHON and ITU-T G.114.

Abstract

Keamanan data menjadi sebuah hal yang tidak bisa dipisahkan pada pengolahan data menjadi informasi saat ini, terlebih pada prose pengiriman data tersebut didalam jaringan. Berbagai metode di gunakan untuk mengamankan data seperti menggunakan metode enkrispsi data. Triple transposition vigenere chiper adalah metode enkripsi dengan cara mengulang teknik vigènere chiper yang setiap plainteksnya dilakukan transposisi terlebih dahulu sebanyak tiga kali dengan menggunakan kunci yang tiap kuncinya harus berbeda satu dengan yang lainnya. Proses yang terjadi pada Triple Transposition Vigènere Chiper terbagi menjadi dua bagian. Metode transposisi dapat disimbolkan dengan T dan metode substitusi menggunakan vigenere yang disimbolkan dengan E serta kunci untuk melakukan vigenere K. Dengan metodeTriple Transposotion Vigenere Chipher pada jaringan LAN, mengamankan pesan yang benar-benar aman dan efektif untuk mencegah terjadinya penyadapan pesan. Dimana nantinya pertukaran kunci yang dilakukan adalah dengan mengenkripsi setiap subsequence yang dipartisi dari plain text sesuai metode Vigenere Cipher dengan algoritma kriptografi kunci simetris yang dapat saling berbeda, di mana jumlah subsequence yang dihasilkan adalah sebanyak algoritma kriptografi kunci simetris yang digunakan.Sehingga dengan metode seperti ini pengiriman data dalam jaringan tidak hanya nyaman tapi juga nyaman.

Abstract

GBKP km 8 Padang Bulan Medan mempunyai kendala dalam memonitor, mengatur, dan mengelola data secara cepat, efektif dan efisien, yang selama ini masih bersifat konvensional sehingga mengakibatkan tingginya biaya operasional. Pembangunan aplikasi web storage berbasis private cloud, dimaksudkan untuk menjawab kesulitan di atas. Konsep private cloud computing harus mengedepankan faktor keamanan file-file yang disimpan pada server private cloud tersebut dengan menggunakan salah satu algoritma yakni SHA1. SHA1 digunakan sebagai autentikasi, integritas dan digital signature. Akses terhadap web storage melalui koneksi intranet secara Local Area Network.

Abstract

The villages in the Andam Dewi sub-district, Central Tapanuli have not maximally utilized information from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The information obtained using Google Maps is still standard and does not represent the potential of the villages in the sub-district. One of the efforts to further encourage the economy is to encourage the development of villages based on local wisdom, natural resources, and their uniqueness so that they can become innovative and creative villages. The Geographical Information System in the Mobile-Based Smart Village Application was created to make it easier for the government, community, tourists, and potential investors to find information on village potentials such as fisheries, plantations, trade, tourism, culture, and public services. This system is built using the PHP and Java programming languages and MySQL as the database. The result of this research is a mobile-based geographic mapping application.

Abstract

Computer Network can optimize using Client/Server model (Domain based). There are a lot of benefits if using that model especially for centralized management and security system. There is (a) Organizational Unit Management, (b) Group Management, (c) Domain User Management, (d) Home Folder Management, (e) Group Policy Management and so on. Users can do anything on their computer even though convenience decreases to make system more secure. Users do their work individually with high attention. The good circumstance achieved because Server using Microsoft Windows Server 2003, one of Operating System support Client/Server model. The feature inside is Active Directory. Client using Microsoft Windows XP and must join to domain. And the users can logon through Client as a domain user, not as local user anymore. Client/Server model should managed by Network Administrator more efficient and effective.

Abstract

Today, Server Administration is very important to optimize some services given by Server to all users. DHCP (Dynamic Host Control Protocol) is one of the services provided by Server. In this paper, DHCP is configured on Mikrotik RouterOS 5.25 as a Router to keep Clients connected in Network. Beside, DNS was configured both in Microsoft Linux Fedora 12 and Windows Server 2008. The client machines using Microsoft Windows XP that were installed on Virtual Environment provided by Oracle VM Virtual Box, connected (got IP Addresses) automatically.

Abstract

Today the Internet is very large network that one routing protocol cannot handle the task update the routing table of all routers. This make the Internet divided into Autonomous System (AS) is consist of many networks and many routers under the authority of a single administration. Routing inside AS is called Interior Routing Protocol. Routing between AS is called Exterior Routing Protocol. The Border Gateway Protocol version 4 (BGP4) is the Exterior Routing Protocol used in the Internet today. In this paper, five AS’s interconnection practising use a virtualized environment, that is Oracle VM Virtual Box. Ten routers uses Mikrotik RouterOS 5.25 on Virtual Box to interconnect five AS’s using the BGP, OSPF and RIP.

Abstract

Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian (BPTP) North Sumatera has an experimental garden "Pasar Miring" that is useful for academic activities, both practicum and research, installation of VUB (Varitas Unggul Baru) rice seed propagation for specific location, assessment and agricultural development. Currently official vehicles operating are 3 units, and the experimental garden area is approximately 15 hectares. Thus the administrator has difficulty knowing the position of the official vehicle during working hours due to the absence of technology that can be used by the office. So to find out the position of the official vehicle when operating, and for vehicle safety from criminal acts and also to avoid misuse of official vehicles. The propose of this paper is a monitoring system for official vehicle by using a desktop application and using Lora (Long Range) Frequency. Lora RFM95 transmitter is placed on the official vehicle and the Lora RFM95 Receiver will be set on the laptop. Lora can send the location of the official vehicle to the desktop application by Internet of Things (IoT) concept via the internet network.

Abstract

A healthy Internet is one of the basic needs of the use of digital technology in various fields, especially in the world of education. Since SMAN I is one of the service partners and is also very close to the center of agriculture and tourism, Community is carried out by the Information System Study Program, Universitas Methodist Indonesia as a form of implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Its purpose and benefits are to share and contribute ideas and transfer knowledge and technology. This service activity was carried out for a day, with the material including explanations about Internet Sehat (Healthy Internet) and Internet Cakap. This topic is very much needed in the education community to be able to use the internet intelligently, creatively, and productively.
