Abstract

Introduction: Educational staff services play a role in determining the quality of education. Service quality is able to provide satisfaction for students. Students who were satisfied with the perceived quality will develop student loyalty to the institution. The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of educational staff service quality with the satisfaction and loyalty of nursing students so that the educational institutions as service providers are able to provide the best service and survive in the midst of competition.Method: The study was an explanative survey with a cross-sectional design. Data collection was conducted using both quantitative (questionnaires) and qualitative (Focus Group discussion/FGD) methods. This study used proportional random sampling, with 110 students as samples. The variables in this research were customer expectations, perceived quality, student satisfaction and loyalty. The data was collected by a questionnaire and analyzed by linear regression, while FGD was conducted in two different groups (students and staff’s managers).Result: The result of the study explains the influence of student expectations on the perceived quality of the educational staff with a p-value = 0,002. There was no influence of student expectation on student satisfaction with a p-value = 0,156. The influence of the perceived quality of the educational staff towards student satisfaction had a p-value = 0,000. The influence of student satisfaction on student loyalty had a p-value = 0,000.Conclusion: The fulfilment of student expectations will have a positive impact on perceived quality. Furthermore, the positively perceived quality will create student satisfaction and student loyalty towards the educational institutions. For further research, it is suggested to examine the effect of satisfaction on student complaints.

Abstract

Background:Smoke-free policies in school established to protect and reduce young students' smoking rates from cigarette smoke's harmfulness. This research to describe implementation of smoke-free policies in school and determine factors influencing the policy's implementation. Method: Qualitative research design and descriptive. Informants determined use purposive sampling. Subjects research were headmaster, student vice headmaster, counseling teachers, homeroom teachers, employees, and students. Technique data collection were observation, interviews, and documentation. Validity data was checked with triangulation technique. Qualitative data analysis used an interactive model based on theory of George C. Edward III, which consists of communication, resources, dispositions, and bureaucratic structures. Result: Smoke-free policies in school hasn’t been implemented optimally, especially in the resource. There are some teachers and employees who still smoke. There isn’t specific budget for the implementation of the smoke-free policies. Billboards facilities with no smoking or smoke-free area are still limited. Supporting factor is communication; smoke-free area policy always communicated to school residents. Disposition factor; there is commitment of policy implementers. Bureaucratic structure factor; there is SOP's existence in implementing the policies. Conclusion: Implementation of smoke-free policies in school has not been maximized, so it needs to be supported by all factors, both communication factors, resource factors, disposition factors, and bureaucratic factors. Abstract

Introduction : Discharge planning is the planning of returned patient with the aim to increase patient and family independence, reduce the risk of reccurence, the severity of the disease, even death. This discharge planning should be done by the nurse. Many factors that influence discharge planning by nurse one of them motivation. This study aimed to determine the correlation between nurses’ motivation and the implementation of discharge planning in the inpatient room at RSM Siti Khodijah, Gurah, Kediri Regency. Methods : This study used analytic with cross sectional approach, the number of population were 30 respondents, in the wich taken by using total sampling, taken 30 of the total population. The data collection used questionnaires of motivation of the nurse and questionnaires of discharge planning implementation. Result : The result from spearman rank test relevated that p (0,002) < (0,05). It means that Ho was rejected that there was an correlated nurses’ motivation and the implementation of discharge planning. Conclusion : Nurses with great motivation will make the discharge planning runs well.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has spread throughout all countries including Indonesia. Kediri Regency has also experienced the impact and has become an area in the red zone category for the Covid-19 pandemic. The continued spread of covid 19 has made the government implement conditions to make peace with the corona virus through healthy and clean living habits. The purpose of this activity is to increase public knowledge about clean and healthy living habits by washing hands properly, and proper cough etiquette in a new life order. The activities carried out were in the form of health education using leaflets, songs / movements and distribution of masks. There is an increase in public knowledge about clean and healthy living habits regarding hand washing and cough etiquette towards adapting to new habits.
