Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence, self-concept and the performance effectiveness of Islamic Junior High School teachers in Islamic Boarding School, Langkat District, North Sumatra, Indonesia. This research used survey method with correlation technique. The sample in this study amounted to 32 teachers and the research data were collected by using questionnaires. All data were analyzed by using simple and multiple regression and correlation statistic. The results of this study revealed that: (1) there is a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and the effectiveness of teachers’ performance, (2) there is a positive relationship between self-concept and the effectiveness of teachers’ performance, and (3) there is a positive relationship between emotional intelligence, self-concept and the effectiveness of teachers’ performance.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of active learning strategies to speak Arabic as well as various supporting and inhibiting factors, and also to describe the results obtained after implementing active learning strategies to speak Arabic at STAI As-Sunnah Tanjung Morawa Deli Serdang. The research data obtained from primary data and secondary data. The primary data comes from key informants taken from purposive techniques, the data collection instruments used are interview guides, observation guides and match lists. While secondary data comes from journals, books, or magazines that are still related to the object of research. For check data validation using data triangulation. The results obtained from the study are STAI As-Sunnah using an active learning strategy based on the integration of 4 Arabic skills, namely speaking, listening, writing and reading skills. It was also found that there were supporting and inhibiting factors for active learning strategies. Supporting factors such as various lecturer methods that motivate students to be active in learning, the existence of a code of ethics regarding the use of Arabic as the main language, as well as the availability of facilities such as language laboratories. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor is that there are still lecturers who do not understand active learning strategies, and the lack of commitment and seriousness of lecturers in implementing active learning strategies. The result of the active learning process itself is that 95% of the Language Preparation Program participants can graduate, there are also those who continue their studies in Arabic-speaking countries, there are students who are able to win the Arabic speech competition.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kesulitan-kesulitan yang dialami oleh guru matematika selama penerapan pembelajaran jarak jauh pada Masa Covid-19 di MAN 1 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif, dengan metode pengumpulan data yang didapatkan dari hasil wawancara dengan subjek penelitian, observasi dan juga dokumentasi. Di dapatkan hasil penelitian bahwa guru matematika merasa kesulitan untuk menerapkan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Seperti, jaringan internet yang tidak stabil, kesulitan untuk memberikan penilaian kepada siswa, serta kesulitan dalam membuat media pembelajaran jarak jauh. Kesulitan yang dialami guru tersebut disebabkan oleh faktor yaitu ketersediaan serta kemampuan jaringan yang kurang memadai, dan sarana yang digunakan untuk membuat media pembelajaran kurang muncukupi. Serta solusi yang dilakukan oleh guru untuk mengatasi kesulitan yang terjadi selama menerapkan pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan membolehkan bagi siswa yang ingin belajar dan memahami secara langsung materi matematika yang sulit dimengerti dengan guru matematika, dan sekolah menyediakan fasilitas wifi bagi guru, dan kuota internet gratis bagi siswa. Kata Kunci: : Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh, Kesulitan, Guru Matematika. ABSTRACT This study aims to look at the difficulties experienced by math teachers during the implementation of distance learning during the Covid-19 Period at MAN 1 Medan. This research uses a type of qualitative research, with data collection methods obtained from interviews with research subjects, observations and documentation. In the results of research that math teachers find it difficult to apply distance learning. Such as, unstable internet networks, difficulty to provide assessments to students, as well as difficulties in making distance learning media. The difficulties experienced by teachers are caused by factors, namely the availability and ability of inadequate networks, and the means used to make learning media less fulfilling. As well as solutions carried out by teachers to overcome the difficulties that occur during implementing distance learning by allowing for students who want to learn and understand directly math materials that are difficult to understand with math teachers, and schools provide wifi facilities for teachers, and free internet quotas for students. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran mobile learning berbasis android pada materi notasi sigma di kelas XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 3 Medan. Kualitas produk yang dikembangkan dinilai berdasarkan aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Prosedur pengembangan media pembelajaran mengacu pada model pengembangan 4-D, yaitu Define (Pendefinisian), Design (Perancangan), Develop (Pengembangan), dan Disseminate (Penyebaran). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MAN 3 Medan berjumlah 15 orang siswa. Kualitas kevalidan media pembelajaran memenuhi kriteria valid berdasarkan skor rata-rata lembar penilaian media yaitu 4,63 dari skor maksimal 5,00 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Kualitas kepraktisan media pembelajaran berdasarkan persentase rata-rata angket respon siswa yaitu 43,36% artinya hampir dari setengah siswa mengatakan bahwa media yang dikembangkan praktis digunakan. Kepraktisan media didukung oleh persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menunjukkan 93,33% pembelajaran terlaksana dengan sangat baik. Keefektifan media memenuhi kriteria efektif dengan tingkat sedang dengan adanya peningkatan skor rata-rata pre test yakni 30 ke nilai post test yakni 52. Hal ini diperkuat dengan uji normalitas gain yang menunjukkan skor 0,31 yang menunjukkan adanya keefektifan media pada tingkat sedang. Kata Kunci : Media Pembelajaran; Mobile Learning; Android. ABSTRACT This study aims to develop android-based mobile learning learning media on sigma notation material in class XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 3 Medan. The quality of the developed products was assessed based on aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The instructional media development procedure refered to the 4-D development model, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The subjects of this research were 15 students of class XI MAN 3 Medan. The quality of the validity of the learning media met the valid criteria based on the average score of the media assessment sheet, which is 4.63 out of a maximum score of 5.00 with very good criteria. The practicality quality of learning media was based on the average percentage of student response questionnaires, which was 43.36%, meaning that almost half of students said that the media developed was practical to use. The practicality of the media was supported by the percentage of implementation of learning which shows 93.33% of learning was carried out very well. The effectiveness of the media met the criteria of being effective at a moderate level with an increase in the average pre-test score of 30 to the post-test value of 52. This was reinforced by the gain normality test which shows a score of 0.31 which indicates the effectiveness of the media at a moderate level. Keywords: Learning Media, Mobile Learning, Android

Abstract

The purpose of this study is the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in Islamic religious education subjects in shaping morality at SMK Raudlatul Uluum-1 Aek Nabara Labuhanbatu. Then what are the problems faced in implementing the 2013 curriculum in Islamic religious education subjects in shaping morality at SMK Raudlatul Uluum-1 Aek Nabara Labuhanbatu. Then find out the efforts that can be made to overcome the problems of implementing the 2013 curriculum in Islamic religious education subjects in forming morality at SMK Raudlatul Uluum-1 Aek Nabara Labuhanbatu. The research that the researcher carried out included qualitative research and when collecting the data used the Field Research method (Field Research). This data will be presented in descriptive form in the form of sentences. The data in this study will be collected and analyzed and then looked for validity.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan pendidikan merupakan kemampuan untuk mempengaruhi, mengkoordinir, dan menggerakkan orang-orang lain yang ada hubungannya dengan pelaksanaan dan pengembangan pendidikan agar dapat dicapai tujuan pendidikan atau sekolah secara efektif dan efisien. Agar tujuan sekolah dapat dicapai secara efektif dan efisien dibutuhkan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang efektif. Ada tujuh karekateristik kepemimpinan kepala sekolah efektif: (1) memiliki visi yang jelas, (2) memiliki harapan tinggi terhadap prestasi ; (3) memprogramkan dan memberikan umpan balik yang positif dan konstruktif , (4) mendorong pemanfaatan waktu secara efisien, (5) mendayagunakan berbagai sumber belajar, (6), memantau kemajuan peserta didik baik secara individual maupun kelompok, (7), melakukan evaluasi dan perbaikan secara berkesinambungan.Kata Kunci: Kepemimpinan, Pendidikan, dan Sekolah

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine: (1) an understanding of literacy culture, (2) the application of literacy culture and (3) supporting and inhibiting factors of the application of literacy culture in Madrasa Aliyah Negeri Langkat Regency. Methodologically this research is a qualitative study by seeking, analyzing and making interpretations of data found through document studies, interviews and observations. The data that has been collected is checked for validity through data validity standards in the form of trustworthiness. Data analysis technique is to reduce, present and make conclusions on the results of research. The results of this study are three, namely: First, residents of Madrasa Aliyah Negeri throughout Langkat Regency understand that literacy culture is not just a culture of reading and writing, but also a culture of observing phenomena that develop in society. They see the activities of membaxca, writing and observing the reality that develops in society as an inseparable whole. Second, the strategies of residents of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri in Langkat District in implementing the GLS program include: a) Providing good library facilities; b) Updating the library book collection; c) Require students to borrow 1 book every week; d) Organization of writing competitions; e) Making wall magazines in each subject; and f) Parents of students participate in providing book facilities for students. Third, supporting factors for the implementation of the GLS program at MAN 1 Langkat include: awareness of school residents regarding the importance of literacy culture; adequate physical facilities such as a library, up to date book collection, reading corner etc. ; active participation of madrasa residents; Madrasah budget allocation for the procurement of supporting facilities; the number of posters, bulletin boards, slogans supporting literacy culture in the school environment; many literacy culture activities or events, such as competitions, book donations etc. and the participation of parents or guardians of students. While the inhibiting factors include: there is no specific time for reading books in the classroom; library location which is not ideal yet; not all teachers can accompany students when reading time activities and not all teachers have a good literacy culture.Keywor d:  Appl i c at i on,  Cul t ur e and Madr as ah

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Pelaksanaan model pembelajaran Alquran 2)kelebihan dan kelemahan macam model pembelajaran alquran 3) kendala dan upaya penangulanganmodel pembelajaran alquran di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Model Medan. Secara metodologi, penelitianini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Setelah data dianalisa, maka ditemukan bahwa:1) Pelaksanaan Modelpempelajaran Alquran di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Model Medan mencakup model dan metode yangbermacam- macam bertujuan supaya siswa tidak bosan, sehingga menarik dan menyenangkan dalampembelajaran Alquran berlangsung.2) Model pembelajaran yang di gunakan dalam pembelajaran Alqurandi Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Model Medan sangat bervariasi, tidak hanya focus pada satu macam modelsaja, antara lain model klasikal, model tajwid, makea match dan model guru asuh dengan macam modelmempunyai kelebihan agar siswa tidak bosan dan pembelajaran menyenangkan 3) Kendala yang dihadapidalam pelaksanaan Model pembelajaran Alquran di Madrasah ini adalah terbatasnya pengetahuan gurutentang Model Pembelajaran Alquran, keterbatasan koleksi buku di Perpustakaan dan Upaya penanggulanganantara lain musyawarah guru mata pelajara dan program Full day tahfizh Alquran dilakukan musyawarahguru tahfizh dengan WKM( Wakil kepala Madrasah) kurikulum serta dengan kordinator tahfizh, selanjutnyamemperdaya perpustakaan.This study aims to find out: 1) Implementation of the Koran learning model 2) the strengths and weaknessesof the type of Koran learning model 3) constraints and efforts to overcome the Koran learning modelin the Medan 2 Model Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2. Methodologically, this research is qualitative research.Data was collected using in-depth interviews, observations and document studies. After the data wasanalyzed, it was found that: 1) Implementation of the Koran learning model in Medan 2 State MadrasahAliyah 2 includes various models and methods aimed at so that students are not bored, so that interestingand enjoyable learning in the Koran takes place.2) Learning models in the use in learning the Koran inMedan 2 Model Madrasah Aliyah 2 is very varied, not only focusing on one type of model, includingclassical models, tajwid models, makea match and foster teacher models with different types of models sostudents do not get bored and have fun learning 3 ) The constraints faced in implementing the Koran inMadrasah learning model are the limited knowledge of the teacher about the Koran Learning Model, thelimited collection of books in the Library and prevention efforts including the discussion of the subjectteacher and the full day tahfizh Alquran program by tahfizh teacher meetings with WKM (Deputy headMadrasa) cur the ikulum and with the tahfizh coordinator, then deceived the library.Kata Kunci: Model, Pembelajaran dan Alqur’an

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan : (1) mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL), (2) mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model Reciprocal Teaching, (3) mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang diajar dengan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan Model Reciprocal Teaching.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif,. Populasi adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Al-Washliyah 8 Medan yang secara acak dipilih 2 kelas. Kelas eksperimen 1 diberikan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learningdan kelas eksperimen 2 diberi perlakukan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching.Temuan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan : (1) Berdasarkan rata-rata nilai, maka siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan Model PembelajaranProblem Based Learning memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa 4,385 lebih tinggi dari sis wa yang diajar menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching. Sehingga kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning lebih baikdaripada siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching. (2) Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji F, diperoleh nilai FHitung = 8,671. Diketahui bahwa nilai koefisien FHitung > FTabel. Artinya Terdapat perbedaan antara model pembelajaran Problem Based Learningdan Reciprocal Teaching. Kata Kunci: Pemecahan Masalah Matematika; Problem Based Learning; Reciprocal Teaching; Kubus dan Balok. ABSTRACT This study aims: (1) to determine the ability to solve mathematical problems of students who are taught by the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, (2) to determine the ability to solve mathematical problems of students who are taught by the Reciprocal Teaching model, (3) to determine the differences in students' mathematical problem solving abilities. who are taught using Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model and Reciprocal Teaching Model. This research is a quantitative research. The population is class VIII SMP Al-Washliyah 8 Medan who randomly selected 2 classes. The experimental class 1 was given the Problem Based Learning learning model and the experimental class 2 was treated with the Reciprocal Teaching learning model. 4,385 higher than students who were taught using the Reciprocal Teaching Learning Model. So that the ability to solve mathematical problems of students who are taught with the Problem Based Learning learning model is better than the students who are taught by the Reciprocal Teaching learning model. (2) results Based on the analysis of the F test, obtained the value of FCount = 8,671. in addition, the value of the coefficient FCount > FTable. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen. Populasi yang digunakan adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 58 Sukaramai Medan Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021 dan sampelnya adalah siswa kelas VIII-1 dan VIII-2. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis varian (ANAVA). Hasil temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Firing Line dan Number Head Together di kelas VIII SMP  Muhammadiyah 58 Sukaramai Medan dengan Fhitung (4,275) > Ftabel (4,007); 2) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Firing Line dan Number Head Together di kelas VIII SMP  Muhammadiyah 58 Sukaramai Medan dengan Fhitung (4,929) > Ftabel (4,007); 3) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis dan kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Firing Line dan Number Head Together di kelas VIII SMP  Muhammadiyah 58 Sukaramai Medan Fhitung (11,431) > Ftabel (9,151). ABSTRACT This research is a quantitative research, with a quasi-experimental type of research. The opulation used was all grade VIII students of SMP Muhammadiyah 58 Sukaramai Medan for the 2020/2021 academic year and the samples were grade VIII-1 and VIII-2 students. Data analysis was performed by analysis of variance (ANOVA). These findings indicate that: 1) There are differences in the ability to understand mathematical concepts using cooperative learning models of The Firing Line and Number Head Together types in class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 58 Sukaramai Medan with Fcount (4.275) > Ftable (4.007) ; 2) There are differences in critical thinking skills by using cooperative learning model type The Firing Line and Number Head Together in class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 58 Sukaramai Medan with Fcount (4.929) > Ftable (4.007) ; 3) There are differences in the ability to understand mathematical concepts and the ability to think critically by using cooperative learning models of The Firing Line and Number Head Together types in class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 58Sukaramai Medan Fcount (11,431) > Ftable (9,151).
