Abstract

Abstrak: Hasil studi awal menemukan permasalahan dalam pembelajaran di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, kemampuanpemecahan matematis siswa MI sangat rendah khususnya di kelas awal. Adapun penyebabnya saranadan media belajar masih kurang, dalam proses pembelajaran guru masih banyak menggunakan polalama yaitu; guru sangat aktif sementara siswa disuruh mendengarkan. Siswa kurang diberi kesempatanuntuk mengembangkan kemampuan berfikir dan bernalar, sehingga pembelajaran yang terjadi belummampu menumbuhkembangkan minat siswa. Penelitian ini mengkombinasikan design research alur Plomp(2013) dengan design research Gravemeijer & Cobb (2006). Tahapan design research dalam penelitianini yaitu fase penelitian pendahuluan, fase pengembangan prototype dan fase penilaian. Penelitian inibertujuan untuk mengembangkan alur pembelajaran yang mengarahkan siswa untuk berfikir dan bernalar.Pendekatan PMR salahsatu pendekatan yang mengarahkan siswa mampu untuk berfikir dan bernalar.Penelitian ini juga melihat apakah Alur pembelajaran yang dikembangkan ini valid, praktis dan efektifuntuk meningkatkan hasil belajar.Kata Kunci: Alur pembelajaran, Pendidikan Matematika Realistik, Valid, Praktis, Efektif.

Abstract

This research was conducted to see the extent of students' understanding of concepts and mathematical communication after being treated with learning using the RME and CTL approaches. The approach used in this research is quantitative with a type of quasi-experimental research. The population as well as the sample in this study were 2 classes with a total of 70 XI MAS PAB 2 Medan Estate students. Next to find out the understanding of concepts and mathematical communication students are given a description test. To process the data obtained using ANACOVA; The results of the data analysis test concluded: the level of understanding of the concepts of students who were treated with the RME approach was lower in influence than students who were treated with the CTL approach. The mathematical communication of students who were treated with the RME approach was less influential than students who were treated with the CTL approach. The level of understanding of mathematical concepts and communication of students who were treated with the RME learning approach was lower in influence than students who were treated with the CTL learning approach. Data analysis concluded that there was an interaction effect of applying the learning approach to students' understanding of concepts and mathematical communication.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out: 1) Feasibility of the professional competence manual for prospective graduates of Mathematics Education at Faculty of Islamic Education and Teachers Training of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra Medan. 2) The student's response to the guidebooks for Professional Competencies in Undergraduate Mathematics Education Department of Faculty of Isalmic Education and Teachers Training of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra Medan. This is Research and Development tye that is using a model developed by Thiagarajan which is a 4 D (Four D) model consisting of 4 stages, called define, design, develop, and disseminate. The results of this study are that the professional competency guideline book for Mathematics Education graduates has met the valid and practical criteria which can be seen from the average recapitulation of the results of the validation team's assessment obtained by 3.43 with good criteria. So that the lattice guidebook is suitable to be used in lecture programs. In general, the students' response to the Mathematics Education student professional competency guidebook book was very positive, which was 87.55%. Keywords: Manual, Professional Competence, Mathematic Education, Faculty of Islamic Education and Teacher Training, UIN of North Sumtra

Abstract

This study aimed to describe students' ability to comprehend the meaning of mathematical vocabulary in one Madrasah in North Sumatera. This research was a qualitative research, with a phenomenology approach. The participants of this research were the seventh-grade students of one Islamic Junior High School (Madrasah) who had high, medium and low ability. The data were collected by using observation, interview and documentation, and were analyzed by using Miles and Huberman models. The results of this study showed that students who had high ability could master three indicators of the ability to understand vocabulary in mathematics; interpreting, summarizing, and explaining. For students who had moderate abilities, they only mastered two indicators of the ability to understand mathematical vocabulary; interpreting and summarizing. For students who had low ability, they only mastered one indicator; interpreting or in other words interpreting vocabulary used in mathematics in their own words.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kesulitan-kesulitan yang dialami oleh guru matematika selama penerapan pembelajaran jarak jauh pada Masa Covid-19 di MAN 1 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif, dengan metode pengumpulan data yang didapatkan dari hasil wawancara dengan subjek penelitian, observasi dan juga dokumentasi. Di dapatkan hasil penelitian bahwa guru matematika merasa kesulitan untuk menerapkan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Seperti, jaringan internet yang tidak stabil, kesulitan untuk memberikan penilaian kepada siswa, serta kesulitan dalam membuat media pembelajaran jarak jauh. Kesulitan yang dialami guru tersebut disebabkan oleh faktor yaitu ketersediaan serta kemampuan jaringan yang kurang memadai, dan sarana yang digunakan untuk membuat media pembelajaran kurang muncukupi. Serta solusi yang dilakukan oleh guru untuk mengatasi kesulitan yang terjadi selama menerapkan pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan membolehkan bagi siswa yang ingin belajar dan memahami secara langsung materi matematika yang sulit dimengerti dengan guru matematika, dan sekolah menyediakan fasilitas wifi bagi guru, dan kuota internet gratis bagi siswa. Kata Kunci: : Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh, Kesulitan, Guru Matematika. ABSTRACT This study aims to look at the difficulties experienced by math teachers during the implementation of distance learning during the Covid-19 Period at MAN 1 Medan. This research uses a type of qualitative research, with data collection methods obtained from interviews with research subjects, observations and documentation. In the results of research that math teachers find it difficult to apply distance learning. Such as, unstable internet networks, difficulty to provide assessments to students, as well as difficulties in making distance learning media. The difficulties experienced by teachers are caused by factors, namely the availability and ability of inadequate networks, and the means used to make learning media less fulfilling. As well as solutions carried out by teachers to overcome the difficulties that occur during implementing distance learning by allowing for students who want to learn and understand directly math materials that are difficult to understand with math teachers, and schools provide wifi facilities for teachers, and free internet quotas for students. Abstract

Preliminary studies revealed that there is a problem in mathematics education system in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. As a result, the students’ mathematical skills are low, especially in the early grades. The studies showed that the availability of facilities and learning media is still lacking. In addition, the teachers still use the old learning patterns i.e., the dominance of learning activities, limited opportunities for students’ expression. The teaching methods have not been able to develop an understanding and interest of students in mathematics. The objective of the study is to develop learning tools on the topic of addition and subtraction of numeral through approach realistic mathematics education to improve learning outcome in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This study combines design research model of Plomp (2013) and design research of Gravemeijer and Cobb (2006). Research stages include preliminary research, development/prototyping phase and assessment. To develop the learning trajectory on the topic of addition and subtraction of numeral through approach realistic mathematics education used design research of Gravemeijer and Cobb (2006), which consists of three phases i.e., the preparing  for the experiment, conducting experiment and retrospective analysis. In the stages of prototype development conducted evaluation formative to investigate the validity and practicalities that includes self-evaluation, expert review, focus groups, one-to-one, small group, and field tests. The study used quantitative and qualitative approaches, which quantitative data collected through test. Whilst, qualitative data obtained through observation, interview and field notes. Findings of the study showed that (1) the learning tools assessed valid, practical and effective by experts, (2) The implementation of the learning tools in a class showed that the pupils become enthusiastic in learning, improving their creativity and interaction. Thus, the study explains that the learning tools of realistic mathematics education may be effective to be used in improving the effectiveness of learning mathematics at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, especially in the early grades.

Abstract

The problem in this research is that students do not have a high interest to follow the lesson and the students often had difficulty in solving mathematical problems that have an impact on learning outcomes for low math. The purpose of this study in learning is to fix the problems that occurred in the interest and the results of students' mathematics learning. This research is a classroom action research. The experiment was conducted in two cycles, the first cycle and the second cycle, each consisting of 2 meetings and a duration of 2 x 40 minutes. At each cycle consisting of several stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. From the results of the study in the first cycle, the result of observation that students are said to be good enough to have interest and liveliness in asking when studying mathematics. And also obtained the test results of student learning first cycle with the percentage of classical completeness amounted to 71.05% (27 students) were completed. In the second cycle, obtained an increase from the observation that the students said already good in mathematics and has been very active in student asked the teacher about the lesson of the unknown. And obtained test results II study classical completeness percentage of 89.47% (34 students) were completed, so that the condition of the first cycle after the action on the second cycle increased by 18.42%. The final conclusion is an increase mathematics learning outcomes by implementing cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS).

Abstract

Research this aim for find out: is there is influence positive betweenapproach CTL learning against results learn student class VII MTsSTaman Pendidikan Islam (TPI) Sawit Seberang Year 2017/2018lesson. Research this is research quantitative. Population researchthis is all over student class VII Taman Pendidikan Islam (TPI)Sawit Seberang the numbering 184 students. Sample in research thisis number VII-1 number 40 students as class experiment and classVII-2 numbered 40 students as class control. Findings in researchthis show: there is influence approach CTL learning against resultslearn mathematics student class VII MTsS Taman Pendidikan Islam(TPI) Sawit Seberang. This based on calculation: (1) Score resultslearn classes taught strategy CTL learning obtain 3425 and anaverage of 85.63 while classes taught strategy learning conventionalobtained 3185 and an average of 79.63 (2) statistics test t obtainednumber amounting to 2,564 while t- table amounting to 1,9908. Withthereby means there is a positive effect between strategy CTLlearning to results learn student mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in learning outcomes between students taught by cooperative learning model type TGT with students taught by STAD type cooperative learning model in class VII MTs PAB 2 Sampali, as well as to compare the average of learning outcomes of students who were taught by the model of learning cooperative type TGT with students who are taught by STAD type cooperative learning model in class VII MTs PAB 2 Sampali on square flat matter. This type of research is a quantitative research using comparative analysis. This research is a study of population consisting of all students of class VII MTs PAB 2 Sampali academic year 2016/2017. The sample is obtained by taking two classes, namely class VII-2 which will be given teaching method of TGT and VII-3 which will be given STAD teaching method which each class is 21 students. Analyze the difference of learning result using t-test (t-test seperated variance), while the mean comparison of learning result using t-test polled variance. These findings show: 1). The value of t arithmetic for the first hypothesis test = 5.696 with t table at 5% significance level = 1.684. 2). The value of t arithmetic for the second hypothesis test = 6.292 with t table at 5% significance level = 1.684. 3). The conclusion of this study explains that there are differences in student learning outcomes taught by cooperative learning model type TGT with students taught by STAD type cooperative learning model, and the average of student learning outcomes taught by cooperative learning model TGT type is greater than the average. average learning outcomes of students who were taught by STAD type cooperative learning model on square flat matter in class VII MTs PAB 2 Sampali
