Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang bahaya penyebaran Covid-19, khususnya varian B1.1.529 (Omicron), dan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat untuk mematuhi protokol kesehatan, social distancing, dan pelaksanaan pembatasan kegiatan bagi seluruh masyarakat, perkantoran, dunia usaha, dunia industri, aktivitas keagamaan, sosial budaya dan berbagai aktivitas kemasyarakatan lainnya sampai pada tingkat kelurahan di kecamatan Siantar Sitalasari. Covid-19 varian Omicron ini dapat meningkatkan angka kematian dan mempengaruhi efektivitas vaksin. Masalah yang ditemukan ditengah masyarakat sampai saat ini adalah masih tingginya masyarakat yang terpapar Covid-19 varian Omicron yang menjadi salah satu varian Covid-19 yang sedang berkembang, padahal pemerintah telah melaksanakan berbagai kebijakan mulai dari pemberlakuan lock down, pembatasan skala besar, social distancing, protokol kesehatan, pembatasan kegiatan masyarakat, dan vaksin Booster bagi seluruh warga masyarakat, namun hasilnya belum dapat menurunkan secara signifikan penyebaran Covid-19 varian Omicron. Untuk mensosialisasikan materi pengabdian masyarakat tersebut kepada masyarakat digunakan metode ceramah dan tanya-jawab kepada seluruh warga masyarakat kelurahan Bah Kapul Kecamatan Siantar Sitalasari yang berlangsung selama 90 menit. Hasil dari sosialisasi tersebut semakin meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang bahaya dari penyebaran Covid-19 khususnya varian Omicron serta kesadaran untuk melindungi dirinya dalam melakukan berbagai aktivitas sehari-hari di kantor, pasar, rumah ibadah, dan berbagai kegiatan lainnya.

Abstract

This research uses qualitative research. This qualitative research is descriptive in nature which uses qualitative data analysis so that it becomes easy to understand data exposure. Learning in junior high schools in this study uses online learning or what is commonly called distance learning with the guidance of parents and teachers at school. Students do online learning through Google Classroom, Google Meet, Zoom and interact with teachers through the Whatsapp Group application. This study aims to determine the effect of online learning on students' learning interest in junior high school students during the COVID-19 period. Respondents taken were junior high school students. The results of this study indicate that online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic greatly affects students' interest in learning, students feel bored because they do not meet their friends and teachers directly. Teachers must increase student’s interest in learning and create online learning that makes students’s enthuastic and understand what the teacher is saying. Teachers can arouse student’s interest learning by providing learning motivations and creating interesting learning materials.

Abstract

At the moment, there are indications that the Toba Batak people of Sianjur Mula-Mula District have disregarded the sociocultural values embodied in indigenous wisdom regarding the protection of Lake Toba. The deterioration of sociocultural values has increased environmental damage to Lake Toba, which is currently escalating. This study aims to examine how Toba Batak sociocultural values can be revitalized to protect the Lake Toba environment in Sianjur Mula-Mula Regency. The descriptive qualitative method with purposive sampling was used in this study. The informants interviewed using this sampling technique are individuals aware of the deterioration of Toba Batak's sociocultural values associated with the Lake Toba environment. The data analysis process begins with collecting primary data via in-depth interviews guided by interview guidelines and supplemented with library data. The interview results were compiled, tabulated, analyzed, verified, and presented for conclusions. The findings indicate that environmental damage to Lake Toba occurs due to the Toba Batak people in Sianjur Mula-Mula District largely disregarding sociocultural values and indigenous wisdom regarding environmental conservation. Therefore, preserving the environment is critical to revitalizing the Toba Batak community's sociocultural values related to environmental preservation according to contemporary needs.

Abstract

Abstract. Revolutions in science and technology, changes in society, understanding how children learn, advances in communication and information media and so on give their own meaning to educational activities. This challenge is one of the important foundations of a technological approach in the management of education and learning. The development of science and technology is increasingly encouraging renewal efforts in the utilization of technological results in the learning process. Teachers are required to be able to use the tools that can be provided by the school, and it is possible that these tools are in accordance with the developments and demands of the times. Utilization of learning media is also a must for every teacher so that it helps in clarifying learning material and arousing students' interest and motivation in learning. However, in reality there are still many teachers who have not been able to utilize learning media, teachers are also less innovative and creative in using learning media, meaning that teachers cannot work in using learning media.Keywords: Teacher Problems; Utilization of Learning Media  Abstrak. Revolusi ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, perubahan masyarakat, pemahaman cara belajar anak, kemajuan media komunikasi dan informasi dan lain sebagainya memberi arti tersendiri bagi kegiatan pendidikan. Tantangan tersebut menjadi salah satu dasar pentingnya pendekatan teknologis dalam pengelolaan pendidikan dan pembelajaran.  Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi semakin mendorong upaya -upaya pembaharuan dalam pemanfaatan hasil-hasil teknologi dalam proses belajar. Para guru dituntut agar mampu menggunakan alat-alat yang dapat disediakan oleh pihak sekolah, dan tidak menutup kemungkinan bahwa alat-alat tersebut sesuai dengan perkembangan dan tuntutan zaman.  Pemanfaatan  media pembelajaran juga merupakan suatu keharusan bagi setiap guru sehingga membantu dalam memperjelas materi pembelajaran dan membangkitkan minat dan motivasi siswa dalam belajar. Namun pada kenyataannya masih banyak guru yang belum mampu untuk memanfaatkan media pembelajaran, guru juga kurang inovatif dan kreatif dalam pemanfaatan media pembelajaran artinya guru belum bisa bekerja dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran.Kata Kunci : Masalah Guru; Pemanfaatan Media Pembelajaran.
