Abstract

This study aims to design a Solar Home System with an Arduino-based Smart Switching system so that the use of electrical energy generated by solar panels can be adjusted without adding power from other electricity sources, such as PLN. Calculation of Leveled Cost of Energy (LCOE) is used as the basis for the switching process that will be carried out to regulate the use of household appliances that are routinely used, regulate electricity consumption automatically, minimize usage, and calculate the effectiveness of electric power usage. The way SHS works is to collect electrical energy from sunlight, then convert DC voltage to AC so that it can be used to run household electronic equipment. To accommodate the adequacy of electrical power, an automatic adjustment is made for household appliances that are routinely used, namely house lights, which includes setting the lights on and off and the number of lights that can be activated. The advantage of this research is that the SHS system is integrated with the automatic setting of the lights installed in the house so that the number of lights on will adjust the availability of electrical energy in the battery. In addition, with the LCOE method, the level of usage can be calculated so that users can save electricity. From the results of usage testing, it is found that the application of this switching technology provides benefits for users because it is no longer dependent on PLN supply. From an economic point of view, based on the calculation of Leveled Cost of Energy (LCOE), there is a kWh value savings of Rp. 77, - for each kWh price or about 4.53% compared to purchasing electricity with prepaid mode.

Abstract

This final project discusses the design and manufacture of an arduino UNO-based power and time controller automatic charger. On an ordinary charger still does not have a mechanism to cut off the electricity that goes into the charger completely, so researchers have an idea to develop an automatic charger to increase the efficiency of battery charging and to increase the battery life of smartphones. This tool is used to control the charging of a smartphone on the basis of a battery that is used is a capacity of 4100mAH, with the charger used is the Xiaomi 0.35A charger. the remaining percentage of the battery is controlled by using a keypad, the charger will charge the battery in accordance with the time set on each keypad button. The amount of time the battery is charged is displayed on the LCD. When the charging time has finished the relay that is connected to the charger outlet will disconnect the electricity that leads to the charger to stop the charging process and the buzzer will light up as the charging indicator has finished and the LCD will display the words "charging has finished". Through testing conducted by the researchers themselves and testing the device to the user charging the battery using an arduino UNO-based automatic charger, the results are that the automatic charger can charge the battery with accuracy reaching 98% to 99% of the battery capacity and can stop charging according to the specified time. Suggestions that can be given by the authors for further research are the use of a custom keypad that is equipped with information on each key to facilitate the user, the use of RTC to calculate battery charging time, as well as the development of a backup power source in the event of a power outage.

Abstract

The implementation and utilization of the Internet of Things in the world of electronics have been very numerous and are still growing. The function of the IoT itself is to simplify human work, monitor various equipment remotely, and increase the effectiveness of tools. In this study, a tool was made to monitor and provide feed to pet cats that can be accessed remotely by the user. The background of making this tool is due to several things in cat maintenance activities, such as irregular feeding schedules, difficulty controlling pet development, difficulty controlling feed availability, difficulty calculating feed requirements, and frequent breeders doing other activities or work outside the home. The method used in this research is the Research and Development method. The advantage or performance of this tool lies in the combination of several automatic functions which include feeding and notification. The combination of some of these functions includes the existence of a NodeMCU microcontroller that is integrated with the internet network, and this automation tool can provide real time feed by utilizing the RTC component which can set the time when the feed will be given. Users will also get direct notifications via Foxpush without having to open a web page to find out whether the feed has been completed or not. After performing various tests, the average success rate of the whole system was 68%.

Abstract

Mint plants provide many benefits in everyday life ranging from enhancing aroma and taste in food and beverages, medicine, perfume, cosmetics until as antibacterial, anti-virus and fungal drugs. Mint is an herbal plant that comes from subtropical areas. When it is planted in tropical areas, mint will grow to creep and will not flowering, so it is cultivated in tropical areas such as in Indonesia by using vegetative methods, namely stem cuttings. This raises problems including shoot growth that takes a long time, regular maintenance, and the need for additional nutrients to support the growth of stems and leaf buds. This study aimed to design and build an automatic integrated care control system for mint cultivation. The integrated system that was built includes the provision of nutrition for young coconut water at a dose of 10 milliliters which is flowed on the surface of the mint plant stem cuttings with the frequency of nutrition twice in a day at 8 AM and 4 PM. The second system that was built was automatic watering carried out on 350 milliliters of mint soil media every morning and evening at 7 AM and 5 PM. After testing, the results showed that the detector could work well in reading the activation time of the nutrient pump and sprinkler pump. There were time differences of 4 milliseconds in the delivery of nutrition testing, while in the delay test for watering the planting medium there was a time difference of 70 milliseconds from the time set on the RTC. Overall, the tools that have been made are adequate to assist farmers in cultivating the mint plant, starting from the process of watering the stem cuttings to providing nutrients to accelerate and increase the growth of leaf buds. Keywords: automatic, humidity sensor YL-69, microcontroller, mint leaves, nourishing system, RTC, watering system.

Abstract

This payroll application is used to calculate the amount of salary that will be received by the Lion Parcel Blitar courier. This study aims to help find solutions for admins to complete payroll tasks quickly and accurately by developing a payroll system that is easy to implement. This research uses the RND (Research and Development) method according to Sugiyono (2012), because this method is used to generate and test the effectiveness of a product. To facilitate the grouping of couriers delivering the most packages and delivering the least packages, the method used by the author in this study is the CART method with the final result being a confusion matrix class a ( <= 600 ) of 5 data and a confusion matrix of class b (> 600 ) of 3 data. In addition, Black Box testing is also used with a percentage of 92.3% and questionnaires to validators of 86.1%, as well as prospective users as testing applications with a percentage of 90.4%. So this application is declared very feasible.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are focused on what students want to be able to do during or at the end of a learning process that includes the learning and teaching process. The problem when learning online is that there are network constraints and the lack of teaching hours for teachers and the limited amount of material that can be delivered. So a solution is needed to determine the level of student satisfaction in the process of achieving online learning in schools. This study applies the C4.5 algorithm for the classification of online learning outcomes at MAN 3 Blitar. This study aims to predict the achievement of online learning with the C4.5 algorithm. There are 10 attributes that affect the achievement of online learning, namely: remembering, attendance, assignments, assessment, material, conditions, application, creating, discussion, analysis. With research, it can make it easier for teachers to determine online learning methods with minimal constraints. The results of the research using the C4.5 algorithm are 27 decision trees and rules, the highest gain value is the Create attribute, which is 0.383923. The results of the validation test using the confusion matrix level of accuracy in predicting online learning achievement on average are 88%, precision is 83%, recall is 86%. With the results of the accuracy value obtained, it can be said to be included in the Good Classification.
