Abstract

Learning can not only be done in the classroom with direct face-to-face activities but can now be done with the help of IT, for example with learned learning. Although learning with vi-learn or e-learn cannot indeed replace overall face-to-face learning in the classroom. The world of education cannot be separated from technological advances such as this study because sometimes in carrying out classroom learning there are obstacles that cannot be avoided. These obstacles can be administrative in nature such as national holidays which coincide with the schedule of courses and cannot be replaced on another day due to limited space and insufficient time. In this study, learning tools for the English for TEP-based learning program have been developed to learn the verbal communication skills of students majoring in chemistry. From the data from the validation results, it can be concluded that learning devices consisting of enrichment modules and worksheets are feasible to be used in learning lessons. Likewise, from the response data, students showed a positive response from students in using enrichment modules and worksheets.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the feasibility of student worksheetss to remediate misconceptions on chemical bonding material, sub-material ionic bonding and covalent bonding with the development of conceptual change models on student worksheets. The research method used is research and development (R&D). Three tier diagnostic tests are used to determine misconceptions experienced by students. Quantitative data analysis is used to determine the classification of students' conceptions and also the remission of misconceptions. The results of this study obtained the feasibility of a student worksheets which was assessed from validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Validity gets a percentage of 83.01% with a very valid category. Practicality gets a percentage of 93.54% with a very practical category. Effectiveness in terms of the N-Gain score in the high and medium level category. This shows that the  student worksheets which developed can classified as feasible, so it can be used to remediate students misconceptions on chemical bonding material  Keywords: Feasibilty, Student Worksheets, Conceptual Change, Misconception

Abstract

The research purpose is to determine the Electronic Student Worksheet (E-SW) validation results, the implementation of learning, the activities of students, the learning outcomes of creative thinking skills, the realm of knowledge, and students' responses. Furthermore, research focuses on guided inquiry learning models to improve students' creative thinking skills. The research population was senior high school students. The sample in the research was 36 high school students. This research model uses One-Group Pretest-Postest Design to collectto collect the data using observation and test methods. The data analysis technique consisted of two stages: the n-gain value test and the independent sample t-test manually. The first stage of the test for the N-gain value test in students obtained medium and high criteria. The second stage of the independent sample t-test showed significant changes between before and after learning. The results showed that the guided inquiry learning model on chemical equilibrium material could improve the creative thinking skills of high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the feasibility of learning models, student activities, learning outcomes, analytical skills, and students' responses by applying guided inquiry learning models. The research method used was one group pretest-posttest design. The results obtained were (1) the percentage of the quality of the implementation of learning for three consecutive meetings, namely 96.87%, 96.87%, and 93.75%. (2) Students activities relevant to practicing analytical skills for three successive meetings are 88.67%, 90%, and 90.67%. (3) Student learning outcomes increased with the percentage of n-gain in the high category of 94.11%. (4) Each component of the students' analytical skills was, respectively, elemental analysis of 64.71% in the high category. In comparison, the analysis of relationships and organizational principles was 47.06% in the high category. (5) The students' responses were 92.70% and 91.92% for the learning model and LKPD. Therefore, the guided inquiry learning model can train students' analytical skills.

Abstract

One of the skills that must be possessed in the 21st century is the ability to think creatively. This study aims to apply student worksheets (LKPD) to improve creative thinking skills through guided inquiry learning models. The research method used a quantitative descriptive method where only one class was used without a comparison class with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The instruments used were observation sheets of guided inquiry implementation, student activities, knowledge test sheets, creative thinking skills test sheets, and student response questionnaires. The research results obtained data: (1) The implementation of guided inquiry learning models at the first and second meetings went well with a percentage of 97.72% and 98.71%. (2) The percentage of relevant activities is higher than in irrelevant activities. (3) The learning outcomes of the knowledge test and the creative thinking skills test increased as evidenced by the N-gain value on the knowledge test of 0.79 with the high category and the creative thinking skills test of 0.77 with high criteria (4) The results of the response of students showed a response positive as evidenced by the results of the classical questionnaire percentage of 87.3% with the very good category. This shows that learning by applying guided inquiry-based LKPD is effective for improving students' creative thinking skills on the sub-material factors that affect the rate of reaction.

Abstract

The results of the initial situation analysis show that there are still many chemistry teachers who aremembers of the Kediri Regency Chemical MGMP who have not yet carried out practical activities.Practicum is still felt as an activity that is burdensome and time-consuming, both in terms of preparation ofpracticum instructions and tools and materials used. One alternative is to provide understanding andexamples of interesting practicum and still be able to practice skills and knowledge. The choice of inquirylearning model is based on the fact that inquiry-based practicum will encourage students to be activelyinvolved in discovering their own concepts or knowledge through practicum using scientific methods thatare assisted by practical instructions. Based on the community service activities that have been carriedout, it can be concluded that this community service activity has proceeded as planned. Based on theresults of the questionnaire, this service activity is very useful for partners in an effort to improveunderstanding of teacher competencies, particularly regarding understanding of inquiry, inquiry-basedpracticum, and using pipette and burette tools as a means to improve the competence of chemistryteachers who are members of the MGMP. Even based on the results of further questionnaires, partnersexpect increased activity, in terms of quantity, or in terms of other material delivery.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to analyse the conceptual profile in chemistry matter of atomic theories. An instrument of three-tier diagnostic test was given to 35 students from X Science 4 class in SMAN 1 Driyorejo and regarding to this worksheet treatment session was given to enhancing students achievement. This study shown the conceptual profile in chemistry varies in the reduction proportion value, but the lowest was Rutherford atomic theories with 0.48 in middle-category. The need of complementary views for the atomic structure expecially in atomic theories bring important issues for understanding and teaching chemistry, which will be discussed further in the article

Abstract

The aims of this research were to obtain the eligibility of the POGIL e-worksheet to improve students' critical thinking skills on reaction rate material in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness criteria. The type of research was research and development using the ADDIE development model with three stages, Analyze, Design, and Development. The research was obtain validity from the validation sheet in terms of the eligibility of content, presentation, language, and design getting mode ≥ 3 so it was declared valid. Practicality was obtained from a response questionnaire supported by a student activity observation sheet. Overall practicality of the response questionnaire has 89.09% (very practical), while the learner activity observation sheet getting mode = 1. Effectiveness was obtained from the pretest and posttest of critical thinking skills supported by student learning results. The result of the critical thinking skills test got N-gain, 0.929 Interpretation, 0.722 Analysis, 0.694 Evaluation, 0.556 Inference, and 0.933 Explanation and obtained a significance value of 0 in the paired sample t-test so it was concluded there was an increase in students' critical thinking skills in reaction rate material after using POGIL e-worksheet. The learning outcomes test data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed rank test has 0 probability value, then it can be concluded there is an increase in student learning outcomes in reaction rate material after using the POGIL e-worksheet. Based on the results of validity, practicality, and effectiveness, the development of the POGIL e-worksheet is feasible.
