Abstract

21st Century learning requires a variety of skills that must be mastered by students. This 21st Century requires students to have 4C skills, namely: critical thinking, creative, collaborative and communicative. In addition, the 21st Century requires students to have the ability to explain phenomena in everyday life. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity and practicality of the physics module by integrating contextual learning and environmental literacy. The type of research was Research and Development (R&D). The object of this research was physics module integrate contextual learning and environmental literacy in a limited trial to one of the XI classes of SMAN 7 Padang. The data source of this research was experts who include Physics lecturers at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNP as validators, physics teachers at SMAN 7 Padang practitioners, with class XI MIA 3 students as physics module users. Data collection instruments used in the study were : validity sheets, practicality test sheets, data analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis of product validity and product practicality. Based on data analysis from the research that has been done can be presented three research results. First, the validation of the physics module integrate contextual learning and environmental literacy with an average value of 85.12 which was excellent category. Second, the practical physics module integrates contextual learning and environmental literacy with an average value by teacher was 91.33 and practicality by students was 93.73 according to the category of practice very good.

Abstract

This study aims to find out what are the constraints on the role of women in reducing the risk of the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Air Tawar Barat Village. women were the most vulnerable group when the earthquake and tsunami occurred. In the research conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. The technique of determining research informants by means of purposive sampling. Data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Technique of validity of research data is source triangulation. There are 2 obstacles faced by the role of women in reducing the risk of the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Air Tawar Barat Village, namely internal and external constraints. The results show that the internal constraints are that BPBD has not integrated gender issues into disaster risk reduction activities, while the external obstacle is the lack of understanding, awareness, vigilance and concern for the women community.

Abstract

One effort that can be done to solve problems in learning is to develop learning media on the right method. One of the learning problems found was the lack of student interest in learning social studies because the methods and media used were not appropriate. Social studies learning has a lot of material descriptions and contains abstract things if delivered using methods that cannot involve students in learning and media that are less attractive, it will make students less enthusiastic to learn. Therefore, this development research aims to produce an animated video product on the inquiry method for social studies learning for Class IX SMP that is valid, practical and feasible. This research uses a type of development research or also known as Research and Development (R&D). The development model used is the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model consists of five stages of development, namely: (1) Analysis (Analysis), (2) Design (design), (3) Development (development), (4) Implementation (application), (5) Evaluation (evaluation). Products in the form of animated video media will be tested for the validity of the media by two validators and the validity of the material will be tested by one validator. Practicality test was conducted on 21 students of class IX. 4 at SMPN 1 Tanjung Raya. Based on the results of the product validity test, it shows that the media is said to be very valid with a proportion of 92.06%, according to the proportion of experts who are right at 90%. In the final results of the practicality test of learning media products, it is categorized as very valid with a percentage of 92.38%. In accordance with these results, it can be said that the learning animation video media on the inquiry method for social studies learning for class IX SMP is declared valid; practical and feasible to use.
