Abstract

The leaves and fruits of Indonesian Syzygium spp such as white pakoba, red pakoba and bombongan have been extracted by ethanol. The ethanolic extract was partitioned with polar solvent gradient using n-hexane, ethyl acetate and n-butanol repeatedly. Each fraction was tested for antidiabetic activity and exhibited varying degrees of antidiabetic activity when tested with α-glucosidase method. Antidiabetic test indicated that the ethyl acetate and butanol fractions of the leaves of pakoba white, red pakoba and bombongan has potential as a source of active compounds.

Abstract

The phytochemical screening and antilitiasis assay have been done on the ethanolic extract of nusa indah putih leaf (Mussaenda pubescens). The screening phyticemical results showed that the leaves of nusa indah putih (M. pubescens) positively contain alkaloids and flavonoids. Antilitiasis assay results showed effectiveness in improving urolithiasis rats at doses of 300 mg / kg BW better in improving kidney compared to dose 150 mg / kg BW with a concentration of 1.8 ml / rat.

Abstract

The red pakoba (Syzygium sp.) is a plant originating from north sulawesi that is often used by local people as a basic ingridient of medicine. This research was conducted to isolate and identify glycoside compounds contained in the n-butanol fraction of red pakoba fruits (Syzygium sp.). The isolation process was carried out using the maceration method, for the separation and purification of compounds using Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) and Gravity Column Chromatography and obtained F2.4 sub-fraction isolates with a sample weight of 4.5 mg. Identification of compound using Proton Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR-1H) and Carbon Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR-13C) tecniques. The result of identification of isolate F2.4 sub-fraction as flavonoid glycoside compounds with the proposed name 3-O-methyl-butyrate-6,7,3',4' tetrahydroxy-5-methoxy-8-methyl flavan with molecular formula (C22H25O8)

Abstract

This research aims to determine the application of problem based learning (PBL) learning models on acid-base material for class XI science at SMA Negeri 1 Tenga. This research was conducted in class XI SMA Negeri 1 Tenga with a sample of 25 people. The research design used was the post-test-only control group design experimental method. The experimental class uses a problem based learning (PBL) model and the control class uses conventional learning. Analysis of hypothesis testing using t-test with a significant level of = 0.05 and success (dk) = 48. The test results obtained show that the results of tcount > ttable or 3.62 > 2.010, thus H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, and the average the average student learning outcomes of the experimental class were 81.92, which was greater than the learning outcomes of the control class was 72.96. This shows that there is a significant difference between the average score (post-test) of the experimental group and the control group. So it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average learning outcomes of students who use the problem based learning (PBL) learning model with the learning outcomes of students who use conventional learning on acid-base materials.

Abstract

Problem Based Learning model is a problem-based learning model that exposes students to practical problems to be solved that focus on the final results. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the Problem Based Learning learning model on atomic structure material is better than conventional learning models. The population in this study were all class X students of Santa Rosa de Lima Tondano Catholic High School. The sample of this study was class XA and class XB Catholic School Santa Rosa de Lima Tondano with the number of students 30 people, for the experimental class 15 people and the control class 15 people, in the even semester the academic year 2018/2019.Hypothesis testing uses the t-test to see differences in student learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class. Based on the results of the study obtained the value of t_count (4.21)> t_table (1.701) at the real level α = 0.05. So that H_0 is rejected and H_1 is accepted. where the average value obtained in the experimental class 82.66 and the average value for the control class 71.33. So the conclusion is that there is a positive effect of the implementation of the Problem Based Learning learning model on atomic structure material on student learning outcomes at Santa Rosa de Lima Tondano Catholic High School.

The learning model used in this study is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The population in this study were all students of class XII IPA in Tomitas Caritas Catholic High School while the sample used was class XII IPA 2. Data collection techniques used a two-tier diagnostic test. Analysis of the data used in this study is the Rasch model and hypothesis testing. The results showed that there were still students who experienced misconceptions even including students who had high abilities, and the average pretest learning outcomes = 48.6 while the average posttest learning outcomes = 86.6. The results of the study for the hypothesis test were analyzed using the T-test statistic at a significant level of 0.05 and the results obtained were obtained at 7.90> 1.684 Ttable so that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Abstract

The application of practicum methods efficiently is able to help educators to achieve success in the chemistry learning process. This study aims to determine student learning outcomes in corrosion material through the learning process by applying the practicum method. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 academic year for students of class XII Science in YPPK High School St. Thomas Aquino Kaimana. The sample used in this study is all students of class XII IPA St. Thomas Aquino Kaimana. The indicator used in this study is individual success, that is, if the student has reached the value of 75. Analysis of the data in this study used the percentage completeness learning technique based on the results of the indicators obtained. The results showed that from the initial test of student learning outcomes had not reached completeness (value 75) with the percentage of completeness of learning outcomes of 0% and from the final test the results of student learning had reached a grade (value> 75) with a percentage of completeness of learning outcomes of 100%. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of students in the subject matter of corrosion with the practicum method were increased.

Ants nest (Myrmecodia pendans.) is an epiphytic plant from Papua which is used as herbal medicine. The reseacrh to isolate and identification the ethyl acetate fraction of phenyl penatnoate compounds from ant nests(myrmecodia pendans.). The isolaton process was carried out using the maceration technique, fro the purifcation and separation of compounds the thin layer chromatographic and gravity column chromathographic were used F1 isolated were obtained weighing up to 180 mg in liquid. Identification using spectroscopy Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Proton (1H-NMR) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Carbon (13-NMR). The result of identification of isolated F1 indicated the posibillity of a phenyl derivative compound with the proposed name 6-hydroxy-5,5-dimethyl-phenyl-pentanoate.
