Abstract

Residents of Banjarsari Village, Kec, have successfully produced several products. Kaduhejo, Pandeglang. However, it lacks innovation and creativity in its packaging. Based on the results of discussions with young women, it was found that there is a need for training so that residents become more creative and innovative in processing products that have been produced by many residents so far, one of which is emping melinjo. From the discussion results, information was also obtained that there were no villagers who had innovative and creative souvenir packaging activities. The opportunity to open a souvenir business is still huge to generate profits amid the current pandemic conditions. To help find solutions to these problems, Bina Bangsa University lecturers and students do community service through souvenir packaging training to explain online sales simulations through e-commerce applications. This service aims to improve the quality of human resources and generate motivation to start new MSMEs that are more innovative and creative while still providing a positive influence on independent business products that already exist in the community. The methods used are coordination, training, mentoring, follow-up plans, and reflection. The process of implementing this work program is gradual, continuous, and sustainable. The results of the souvenir packaging training activities have a positive impact. Not only can we produce creative and unique souvenir packaging, but the trainees can also have the experience of doing photo sessions for root products that look attractive when promoted online. In addition, the training participants were explained about sales simulations through e-commerce applications. The discussion results before the training started showed that the participants had never been and had not been able to package souvenirs at first. However, in the interview after the training was carried out, namely the reflection stage, it was concluded that 100% of the participants could do souvenir packaging creatively and innovatively. In addition, 40% of them can understand product sales simulations through e-commerce applications. So that this souvenir packaging training can be a recommendation as a medium to increase creativity, bring up innovation, and motivate to start new MSMEs.

Abstract

The signs of people who have skill of critical thinking are usually marked by the emergence of any questions in their effort to obtain information related to a phenomenon that appears and seek a solution. Some of the characteristics of person who thinks critically tend to have a mindset of perspective, objective, creative, sensitive, diligent and have a high curiosity. As a teenager going to growing up, high school students are required to be able to determine good or bad for everything. In addition, having skills of critical thinking can also help students in conducting research, making effective decisions and having high self-confidence. To gain all of that, then the provision of critical thinking skills is considered necessary. Critical thinking is a skill that can be trained. Based on this, the purpose of this dedication activity is to carry out a colloquium activity to provide knowledge to students about critical thinking and how to train it. Colloquium activity give a way to practice skill of critical thinking by asking any questions frequently and being a good listener. Even someone who si slow in thinking can also having skill of critical thinking by doing the exercise

Abstract

Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) memiliki potensi yang cukup besar untuk dikembangkan, Kota Serang sebagai ibu kota provinsi Banten menjadi salah satu tempat yang strategis dalam mengembangkan Usaha Kecil dan Menengah, tercatat pada tahun 2018 terdapat 10.321 Usaha Kecil dan Menengah di Kota Serang. Angka tersebut membuktikan bahwa banyak sekali pelaku UKM di Kota Serang, salah satunya usaha kuliner yaitu Seblak Gaul Bpk. Pitra. Pengelolaan yang kurang baik dan perencanaan jumlah produksi yang belum optimal berdampak pada keuntungan yang diperoleh tidak maksimal dan sulit di prediksi. Perumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah : "Maksimalisasi keuntungan pada UKM seblak Gaul BPK. Pitra di kota Serang menggunakan linear programming melalui metode simplek" . linear programming melalui metode simplek adalah metode yang tepat digunakan untuk mementukan jumlah produksi produk makanan agar keuntungan maksimal. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa Jumlah produksi seblak mie dan seblak telur sebanyak 3 porsi, dengan keuntungan maksimal RP.750.000.00

Abstract

The LaTex training using Overleaf aims to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to use LaTex and the online platform, Overleaf, to create scientific and academic documents. The training covers basic LaTex topics, including document structure, formatting, and typesetting, as well as more advanced topics, such as creating mathematical formulas and technical illustrations. In addition, participants will learn how to use Overleaf to enable collaborative work, document synchronization, and document sharing in various formats. In this training, participants will be given hands-on learning experiences through exercises, activities, and direct practice on the use of LaTex and Overleaf. Instructors will also provide feedback and active interaction with participants in each training session. By completing this training, participants will have the ability to create high-quality scientific and academic documents using LaTex and Overleaf and be able to apply it to their own research and writing projects. This training is highly recommended for anyone who wants to improve their skills in creating high-quality scientific and academic documents and to increase their work efficiency.

Abstract

Banana peel is a waste that is rarely used and thrown away. Therefore, it is necessary to find a treatment solution by utilizing banana peels into a product that is valuable and has selling value. Downstreaming has several benefits, namely to provide added value to products, create new jobs, and optimize the use of available natural resources. So it can minimize the waste produced. Thus, downstreaming can also provide environmental benefits and better sustainability of natural resources. The implementation of the dedication of lecturers and students through training in processing banana peel waste into fertilizer, was carried out in Pegandikan Village, Lebak Wangi District, Serang Regency. Participants in the training activity on processing banana peel waste into fertilizer were several residents of Pegandikan village who are members of the KUBE Berseri Waste Bank. This training activity is able to provide information and understanding that banana peel waste can still be utilized. One of them can be made into organic fertilizer. The success of the service team in raising the interest of Pegandikan villagers to start a new independent entrepreneur, namely the business of making pure banana peel fertilizer. The selection of ergonomic and simple packaging can be a solution in product packaging. With the label used, pay attention to honesty and be able to contain complete information. The packaging used is used bottles so as to reduce production costs. Sales, which are carried out through a point-of-sale system at various plant and fertilizer kiosks, are expected to be able to attract new partnerships for collaboration in the future. By offering attractive sales methods to consumers, namely by implementing a bundling system. A bundle package is made with other products such as pots, plants, or with other types of fertilizers. The KUBE Berseri Waste Bank members looked enthusiastic during the activity and looked happy when they succeeded in processing banana peel waste from start to finish. This can be seen from the creative ideas expressed by the participants regarding the development of homogeneous product compositions, which could one day be made heterogeneous. Abstract

Penggunaan visualisasi data dalam bentuk grafik telah menjadi sebuah keharusan dalam menyajikan informasi secara efektif dan menarik. Hal itu akan memberikan dampak positif terhadap pemahaman objek yang sedang diamati. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan dalam penggunaan alat bantu seperti PGFPlots di LaTeX menjadi relevan dan sangat penting. LaTeX, sebagai sistem penulisan dokumen ilmiah, telah menjadi standar dalam penulisan jurnal, tesis, dan publikasi ilmiah lainnya. PGFPlots, sebagai paket LaTeX untuk pembuatan grafik, memberikan fleksibilitas tinggi dalam merancang dan menyesuaikan visualisasi data. Dengan kombinasi keduanya, penulis jurnal ilmiah dapat menciptakan laporan yang informatif, mudah dipahami, dan estetis. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut, dilaksanakanlah pengabdian masyarakat berupa pelatihan pembuatan grafik dan bagan menggunakan LaTeX pada Overleaf. Pelatihan ini merupakan kolaborasi antara Institut Teknologi Telkom Purwokerto dan Universitas Bina Bangsa Serang. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini ialah memberikan pengetahuan dasar PGFPlots LaTeX. Sasaran pelatihan ini ialah civitas akademik yang intens dalam kegiatan pembuatan karya ilmiah, laporan ilmiah, atau laporan kegiatan. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan secara daring dengan metode ceramah dan diskusi pada pemaparan materinya. Evaluasi dilakukan pada kegiatan ini, yakni berdasarkan jumlah peserta, tes formatif, dan tanggapan peserta. Bedasarkan hasil evaluasi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengabdian masyarakat mengenai pelatihan pembuatan grafik dan bagan dengan LaTeX dapat memberikan manfaat bagi peserta.

Abstract

The birth rate (fertility) is one of the factors that influences the increase in population. Banten Province has 8 districts and cities with different fertility rates. One of the fertility indicators presented in the Long Form SP2020 data is Birth Rate data by Age Group / Age Specific Fertility Rate (ASFR). The aim of this research is to determine the earliest, latest reproductive age and the age of women who have the highest fertility rates in each district and city in Banten Province. The skewness (measure of slope) and kurtosis (measure of sharpness) values of the continuous curve formed will also be studied. ASFR data presented by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) is discrete data. Fertility rates will be approached using the MBF (Modified Beta Function) continuous fertility model. In this research, information was obtained that the earliest reproductive age in Banten Province was 15.64 years. This happened to women in Lebak Regency. Meanwhile, the latest reproductive age in Banten Province is 49.85 years. This happened to women in Pandeglang Regency. It can also be seen that the highest peak fertility rate for the population of Banten Province occurred in women aged 27.54 years in the Cilegon City area, with a peak fertility value of 0.13055. Apart from being based on calculations, this is in accordance with the curve visualization carried out using Mathematica software. The highest skewness value occurs in the continuous fertility curve for the Lebak Regency area. This means that Lebak Regency has the most left-leaning curve. All continuous fertility curves in districts and cities in Banten Province have a platykurtic distribution (flat curve) because the kurtosis value is smaller than 0.263
