Abstract

Pembelajaran menulis paragraf persuasi penting bagi siswa, karena dengan menulis siswa dapat mengungkapkan atau mengekspresikan gagasan, perasaan atau pendapat, juga dapat mengembangkan daya pikir dan kreatifitas siswa dalam menulis. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya minat siswa terhadap pembelajaran menulis ataupun kegiatan menulis, serta kurang tepatnya teknik-teknik atau model-model pembelajaran yang digunakan guru dikelas sehingga pembelajaran menulis menyadi pelajaran yang sulit dan kurang diminati siswa, khususnya menulis paragraf persuasi. Agar pembelajaran menulis paragraf persuasi mencapai hasil yang optimal, guru dituntut untuk mampu memilih model yang tepat dalam proses pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran yang diperkirakan tepat untuk pembelajaran menulis paragraf persuasi adalah model service learning. Proses pembelajaran menulis paragraf persuasi dengan menggunakan model service learning berjalan dengan lancar dan tertib. Siswa pun terlihat aktif dan bersemangat dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Model service learning telah berhasil dalam meningkatkan kompetensi menulis paragraf persuasi siswa.

Abstract

Babad Sumedang merupakan warisan budaya nenek moyang yang saat ini keberadaannya kurang disosialisasikan dan dimanfaatkan dengan baik. Dikhawatirkan punah karena terlupakan. Secara umum naskah Babad Sumedang karya Raden Arya Adipati Martanagara menceritakan sejarah kepemimpinan para Bupati Sumedang di masa lalu. Beberapa periode kebupatian disajikan di dalamnya dengan bentuk penyajian berbentuk puisi lirik atau dalam Sastra Sunda disebut dengan pupuh, yaitu sebanyak 872 buah. Penelitian ini hanya mengambil satu bagian cerita yaitu pada periode pemerintahan Pangeran Geusan Ulun (PGU) sebanyak 208 bait. Analisis struktur dan nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam naskah Babad Sumedang menggunakan model penganalisisan teori A.J. Greimas. Hasil analisis naskah, mengungkapkan, bahwa struktur teks Babad Sumedang meliputi tiga bagian penceritaan, yaitu orientasi, rekaman peristiwa, dan reorientasi yang sejalan dengan unsur penceritaan naskah, yaitu alur penceritaan. Unsur lain yang turut mendukung struktur naskah adalah tokoh, latar dan tema. Selanjutnya analisis tentang nilai karakter pada tokoh PGU menghasilkan bahwa terdapat beberapa nilai karakter pada tokoh utama yang mencerminkan karakter pemimpin, di antaranya; religius, jujur, disiplin, kerja keras, peduli sosial, solidaritas, dan bertanggung jawab.Kata kunci: babad Sumedang; struktur teks; nilai karakter.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the imbalance of literary appreciation, literary appreciation is only focused on literary studies using an objective approach that considers literary works as something that stands alone so that it seems incomplete. Through an enclitic approach, literary appreciation in this study uses two approaches that are used simultaneously, combining objective and expressive approaches. This study aims to describe the novel Arunika Terakhir by Ipul Sae, a description of the author's sociology, the influence of the author's sociological aspects on intrinsic elements, and the procedure for applying the enclitic approach in literary studies. The method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The research technique uses text analysis techniques and interviews. Based on the results of the interview, it can be seen that Ipul Sae is someone who is active in the fields of environment, education, literacy, social, and art. The author is from Sumeadang Regency, in 2016 the author established a reading garden called Panti Baca Ceria. The first book is entitled Kata Benda and the second book is entitled Arunika Terakhir. This novel is interesting to study because it is a fiction genre and it reflects the imagination, creativity, and reality experienced by the author. In the novel Arunika Terakhir by Ipul Sae, the issues raised in the story are the struggle to save the environment from human greed, the lives of humans and other creatures in a coexistent world, and human awareness of the environment in which they live. The main character named Varsha Eka Saptarangi, is set in 2080 in a city called Medalion. The application of an enclitic approach by linking the first data in the form of the author's sociology and the second data in the form of intrinsic elements of the novel Arunika Terakhir by Ipul Sae so that the relationship between the author's background, who is a man from Sumedang, chooses the name of the character, character of the character, setting of place, the theme of the story, and how to resolve the conflict in the novel. The author works in the environmental field so that it affects the theme of the story raised, and the message conveyed. The author brings up traditional values ​​that are still embraced by the Sundanese people related to the author's passion for traditional arts.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students’ lack of knowledge about literary works that they deserve to read. This is in line with the teacher’s lack of supervision over the selection of literary appreciation learning materials that are worthy of being read, appreciated, and used in high school. The teacher has an important role in selecting literary appreciation learning materials. Extensive insight into the field of literature, the ability to motivate students to enjoy literature and to make students being interested in appreciating a literary work an ability that must have an Indonesian language teacher. This study aims to describe the moral and social values in the novel Sawitri and the Seven Trees of Birth by Mashdar Zainal, as well as its feasibility as material for studying literary appreciation in high school. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in this study using content analysis techniques. The data source was obtained from the novel Sawitri and the Seven Trees of Birth by Mashdar Zainal. The results obtained from this study are, 1) the moral values contained in the novel Sawitri and the Seven Trees of Birth by Mashdar Zainal include the moral values of human relations with oneself and human relations with others. There are as many as 28 moral values which include moral values of bad attitude in the novel Sawitri and the Seven Trees of Birth by Mashdar Zainal; 2) the social values contained in the novel Sawitri and the Seven Trees of Birth by Mashdar Zainal’s work covers social values among the people in the Sawitri family. There are 11 social values in the Sawitri and the Seven Trees of Birth by Mashdar Zainal. Based on the moral and social values contained in novel Sawitri and the Seven Trees of Birth by Mashdar Zainal deserve to used as learning material for literary appreciation in high school.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain objective data on how librarian development, obstacles in librarian development, and efforts to overcome librarian development obstacles at the Sumedang Regency Regional Archives and Library Office. The method used is a descriptive qualitative research method. The sampling technique used is Purposive Sampling with research informants as  many as 5 (five) people. Data collection techniques through primary data collection techniques such as observation and interviews, secondary data collection techniques such as literature studies and documentation. In analyzing the data used Hasibuan model with steps: Data reduction, data presentation, Conclution drawing/ferification, and Triangulation. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that librarian Development at the Regional Archives and Library Office of Sumedang Regency is still not optimal, because the benchmark development methods in the aspects of quality and quantity of librarian work are still low, the level of librarian discipline is still lacking, the effectiveness and efficiency of librarian work is still lacking, and the target has not been met.
