Abstract

The aims of this research is was to find out the profile of overall science critical thinking ability and based on the gender of viii grade students of SMPN at Ende city. This research was a descriptive research. The population of this research were all the VIII grade students of SMPN at Ende city academic year 2017/2018. As many as 804 students and the sample were 10% of the populations, they were 80 students. This research used random sampling technique. The data were obtained from the score of science critical thinking ability. The data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis. the result shows that the average of science critical thinking ability of students was 66,84 which is categorized as medium or critical enough. Meanwhile, based on the gender perspective, the female group obtained the average as 68,56 which is categorized as high or critical. Meanwhile, male obtained the 62,03 which is categorized as medium or critical enough.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Peningkatan kapasitas adsorpsi dan efisiensi penyerapan zeolit alam Ende - NTT sudah dilakukan melalui proses aktivasi kimia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan adsorben yang efektif mengurangi kadar logam Pb(II) dalam larutan. Aktivasi zeolit alam tersebut dilakukan dengan memvariasikan konsentrasi asam klorida (HCl) dan dikarakterisasi menggunakan Difraksi Sinar-X (XRD) dan Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Sementara proses adsorpsi ion Pb(II) menggunakan zeolit alam teraktivasi tersebut dipelajari pada variasi pH dan waktu kontak. Konsentrasi ion Pb(II) sebelum dan sesudah penyerapan ditentukan dengan instrumen Spektrofotometer Serapan Atom (SSA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi optimum HCl untuk proses aktivasi tersebut adalah 3,0 M. Kondisi optimum penyerapan ion logam tersebut terjadi pada pH 4 dan waktu kontak selama 60 menit. Kapasitas adsorpsi dan efisiensi penyerapan maksimum zeolit alam terhadap ion logam Pb(II) berturut-turut sebesar 24.843 mg/g dan 99.37%. Kata kunci: zeolit alam, adsorpsi, aktivasi, logam berat, timbal (II) ABSTRACT: The improvement of adsorption capacity and absorption efficiency of natural zeolite from Ende - NTT has been carried out by chemical process activation using chloric acid (HCl). The purpose of this research was to produce adsorbent that efectively reduce the Pb(II) concentration from solution. The adsorption of the activated natural zeolite on Pb (II) was studied by varying the HCl concentration, pH of the solution, and contact time. The characterization of the activated natural zeolite was conducted with X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Meanwhile the concentration of ion Pb (II) was measured by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The optimum HCl concentration for the activation process was 3.0 M. Moreover, the optimum pH of the solution and contact time were 4 and 60 minutes respectively with the adsorption capacity and the efficiency were 24.843 mg/g and 99.37% respectively.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Sintesis hidroksiapatit (HAp) dari cangkang telur ayam melalui proses presipitasi basah telah berhasil dilakukan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan kondisi proses yang optimal dan juga untuk mengetahui pengaruh rasio mol Ca/P dan suhu sintesis terhadap karakteristik HAp. Bubuk cangkang telur ayam dikalsinasi untuk mendapatkan CaO yang kemudian direaksikan dengan diammonium hidrogen fosfat dengan menggunakan air sebagai pelarut. Proses presipitasi dilakukan dengan sistem tertutup untuk menghindari terjadinya pelarut hilang saat pemanasan di atas titik didih pelarut. Sampel kemudian diambil untuk dikarakterisasi dengan menggunakan FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared), XRD (X-Ray Diffraction), dan SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy). Kelompok fungsional diamati di FTIR HAp yang disintesis adalah fosfat (PO43-), hidroksil (OH-), karbonat (CO32-), dan hidrogen fosfat (HPO42-). Kelompok fungsional ini menunjukkan bahwa HAp telah terbentuk. Data XRD menunjukkan puncak utama untuk HAp yang memperkuat kebenaran karakterisasi FTIR. SEM digunakan untuk mengamati morfologi HAp hasil sintesis yang terdiri dari aglomerat. Kondisi terbaik dalam sintesis ini terjadi pada perbandingan mol Ca/P sebesar 1,60 pada suhu 160oC ABSTRACT: Synthesis of hydroxyapatite (HAp) from eggshell by precipitation method has been successfully done. The aim of this research was to get the optimum process condition and also to investigate the influence of the Ca/P mole ratio andthe synthesis temperature toward HAp characteristic. The powder of eggshell was calcined to get CaO which then was reacted with diammonium hydrogen phosphate by using water as solvent. Precipitation process was done by closed system in order to avoid the solvent be lost while heating up above the solvent’s boiling point. The samples then were characterized by using FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared), XRD (X-Ray Diffraction), and SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy). The functional groups were observed in the FTIR of the synthesized HAp are phosphate (PO43-), hydroxyl (OH-), carbonate (CO32-), and hydrogen phosphate (HPO42-). These functional groups indicate that HAp has been formed. XRD data showed the main peaks for HAp that strenghtened the truth of FTIR characterization. SEM was used to observe the morphology of the synthesized HAp that consisted of agglomerates. The best conditions in this synthesis occured at Ca/P mole ratio of 1,60 and the synthesis temperature of 160oC.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran guru dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik di SMPN 1 Wolowaru Kecamatan Wolowaru Kabupaten Ende, melalui pembelajaran di dalam kelas. Guru merupakan titik sentral, yaitu sebagai ujung tombak di lapangan dalam pengembangan kurikulum. Keberhasilan belajar mengajar antara lain ditentukan oleh kemampuan professional dalam pribadi guru, dikarenakan pengembangan kurikulum berangkat dari dalam kelas, sehingga guru hendaknya mengusahakan gagasan kreatif dalam menerapkan kurikulum di kelasnya. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kualitas praktik pembelajaran di dalam kelas. Data yang diambil adalah data sikap ilmiah siswa melalui teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan wawancara dan observasi serta keduanya dilakukan pengecekan silang dengan tambahan dokumentasi sebagai data pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tujuh peran yang dilakukan guru-guru dalam meningkatkan motivasi peserta didik di SMPN 1 Wolowaru. Tujuh peran tersebut yaitu; Penggunaan metode dan media pembelajaran yang bervariasi, pemberian tugas yang teratur, pujian (reward), evaluasi yang konsisten, penilaian dalam setiap aspek, dan juga hukuman (punishment).

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui implemetasi pelayananbimbingan dan konseling dalam membentuk karakter siswa MASAlmuttaqin Wolowaru. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalahdeskriptif kualitatif sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data yaitumenggunakan tehnik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasilpenelitian menujukan bahwa pelayanan bimbingan dan konselingdalam membentuk karakter siswa sudah diterapkan di MASAlmuttaqin Wolowaru. Pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling dilakukanoleh guru BK kepada semua siswa/i yang ada di MAS AlmuttaqinWolowaru, yang mempunyai masalah-masalah secara pribadi ataukelompok. Dampak dari penerapan atau implementasi pelayananbimbingan dan konseling menujukan bahwa adanya dampak positifdalam membentuk karakter siswa MAS Almuttaqin Wolowaru, inidibuktikan dari banyaknya siswa yang memperbaiki diri dan tidakmengulangi kesalahan yang sama.

Abstract

Waste from the textile industry is considered a potential source of environmental pollution, especially water, because it contains dangerous dyes. In this research, natural zeolite is an effective and efficient alternative to overcome pollution caused by methylene blue and methyl orange dyes. Activation of natural zeolite was carried out with 3 M HCl solution and was characterized using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Simultaneously, the methylene blue and methyl orange adsorption processes were studied in variations in the weight of the adsorbent, contact time, and pH. The concentration of dyes left in the solution was observed with UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. The results showed that the adsorption capacity of natural zeolite in absorbing methylene blue was 21.189 mg / g and methyl orange was 18.208 mg / g. The optimum conditions of dyes adsorption are achieved with successive adsorbent weights 0.3 g and 0,4 g, following contact times 60 minutes and 90 minutes, and successive pH 6 and 2. The adsorbent weight factor, contact time, and pH affect the adsorption of dyes by natural zeolite from  Ende.

Abstract

The problem in this research is how to supervise the quality of science learning at SDN 3?. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality supervision of science learning at SDN 3 Wolowaru. The approach used in this study is qualitative, namely an approach that tries to understand the individual meaning of the subject under study. The subjects of this study consisted of key informants, namely the principal as a supervisor and informants, namely the science subject teacher. In obtaining the data, the writer uses interview, observation, and observation techniques. The results showed that 1. the role of the principal as a supervisor: a. the principal's duty as a supervisor is to make teachers more serious and enthusiastic and responsible in teaching and learning activities, b. the function of the principal as a supervisor is to provide direction, guidance, service and supervision. 2. The supervision process at SDN 3 Wolowaru: has been carried out well by the principal as a supervisor, starting from the supervision program, implementing supervision, as well as the follow-up process from the results of supervision. 3. The views of the science subject teachers are very helpful in improving the quality of learning as well as influencing and improving the learning process.

Abstract

This study aimed to implement models and learning tools based on integrated JAS (Natural Surrounding Exploration) approach in the plant taxonomy course particularly plant determination material. This research was conducted by utilizing descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The research was conducted from September to November 2019 in the odd semester at the academic year 2019/2020. The samples were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The samples were 43 students of biology education study program at Universitas Flores who took plant taxonomy course. The research was conducted at Kelimutu National Park. Based on the results, the use of a taxonomic learning model based on natural surrounding exploration was considered quite interesting and encouraged meaningful teaching and learning activities. In addition, based on the results of interviews with biology students, this method provided advantages including (1) being able to increase students' understanding of plant identification, (2) being an attractive medium to trigger learning motivation because it was related to the real context around it, and (3) instilling a caring attitude and love for the natural wealth around and the culture around it.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction of the surrounding community with the diversity of plants in the TNK area and to identify the use of plants by the community around TNK. This research was conducted in the Kelimutu National Park area, Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province and Waturaka Village in May 2021. The tools used in this study, namely: interview guide (questionnaire), stationery, camera, recorder, calculator, machete/machete, flower scissors, label paper, plastic rope, plastic, a list of respondents' questions, and a computer and its equipment. While the materials used in this study were 70% alcohol, plant samples, bamboo sacks and newsprint. The research subjects are the people of Waturaka Village, Kelimutu District, Ende Regency. The objects in this study are medicinal plants in the Kelimutu National Park area and are cultivated by the community in Waturaka Village. The study used a survey method through observation and identification of plants and the determination of respondents by purposive sampling method totaling 250 people, consisting of 65 men and 185 women. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative descriptive. The results showed that there were 49 species of medicinal plants from 29 families. Leaves are the most widely used plant parts as medicines. Zingiberaceae family has the highest usage percentage of 85%.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran yang diterapkan oleh guru di kelas kurang inovatif sehingga rendahnya prestasi belajar siswa kelas 1V SDK Woloora. Maka solusi yang diberikan dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran jigsaw. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Penggunaan model pembelajaran jigsaw dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV pada mata pelajaran IPA di SDK Woloora Kabupaten Ende. Jenis penelitian yakni Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari empat tahap yakni tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian siswa kelas 1V SDK Woloora. Objek penelitian SDK Woloora, Ende, Kabupaten Ende. Teknik Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, tes evaluasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa prestasi belajar siswa pada saat pra tindakan sebesar 42,85% berada pada kategori rendah, siklus I sebesar 57,29% berada pada kategori sedang, siklus II 100 berada pada ketegori tinggi%. Pemahaman mahasiswa rata-rata kelas pra tindakan 61.07%, siklus 83,44%, siklus II 93,33%. Kesimpulan dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran jigsaw dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV pada mata pelajaran IPA siswa kelas IV SDK Woloora Kabupaten Ende.
