Abstract

This study aims to reduce stress in the completion of thesis through peer tutoring method in student of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program, UNY. This research is a classroom action research. The research subjects were 70 Guidance and Counseling Study Program students. Sampling techniques used purposive technique. Data collection used stress scale in the completion of thesis and observation guideline. The result of the pretest with the scale of stress in the completion of the thesis obtained a number of 14 students who were given an action. Data analysis technique used quantitative technique. The results showed a decrease in stress level in Guidance and Counseling student through peer tutoring method. This was indicated by the pretest average score of 104.8 (high category). After being given the action in cycle I, the average post test I score was 90.3 (medium category). This means that in cycle I there was a decrease in the average score of 14.5%. Provision of action continued in cycle II with the result of post test II obtained an average score of 72.2 (low category). This means that in cycle II there is a decrease in the average score of 18.1%. The decrease in the average score in the post test I and II obtained a total of 32.6%.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the validity and reliability of the perceived stress scale instrument. The study uses a quantitative approach. The respondents involved in this study were 195 undergraduate and master students of guidance and counseling at Yogyakarta State University. Respondents were determined through a simple random sampling technique—data analysis using the RASCH model. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the Perceived Stress Scale has good quality, meaning that it meets the validity and reliability aspects. The results of the study can be used as an instrument of need assessment in guidance and counseling services.Keywords: perceived stress scale, RASCH model, need assessment

Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of self-esteem on student self-adjusment. The research involved a sample of 210 students of grade X State Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Bangil Pasuruan that were randomly selected. The data analysis technique used in this study is regression analysis. The result showed that there was a significant influence between self-esteem on student self-adjusment. This study recommends a counseling service to improve student self-adjusment by involving self-esteem variables.

Abstract

In the constellation of global education one of the vital areas of thefield of guidance and counseling. Strategis strata occupy this area as amainstay of the global competitive ability of a country because it isclosely related to human resource development hegemony superiorschools in a variety of scales. Guidance and counseling field related toquality have logical consequences that are very heavy, because it mustwork in both worlds. Campus as a center of education, training,personality development, management ability and communicationskills. On the other hand, graduates/school counselor produced byLPTK to be completely coherent, insight and eligible with the existingschool environment. Based on the thought of two things above thefield of guidance and counseling specifically for teacher educationpattern which should be developed is set multy entry-exit systemmodel. This model puts environmental school as an integral part inthe learning process, so it will act as a technical academic widerlaboratory. And process quality guarantee automatically attacheddirectly to the user that is educational industry itself.

Abstract

This study was aimed at finding a concept model of appropriate guidance for developing adolescent personal social competences. More specifically, the study attempted to find the correlation between personal social guidance counseling and character education in schools and the private social competence of students. The subjects were 1,500 high school students in Yogyakarta who have received character education programs in their school. The primary data were collected by questionnaires. The secondary data were collected by observation and documentation. Data were analysed qualitatively for cross-check purposes and quantitatively for statistical hypothesis testing. Findings showed that there was evidence for the fact that personal social guidance counseling helps develop personal social competence of teenagers.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kompetensi profesional guru bimbingan dan konseling merupakan aspek penting yang membekali guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam memberikan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah. Salah satu kompetensi yang perlu ditingkatkan yaitu kemampuan guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam menyelenggarakan layanan konseling kelompok. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ceramah, diskusi, penugasan dan simulasi. Hasil analisis dampak pelatihan peningkatan kompetensi layanan konseling kelompok dengan analisis kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa Guru bimbingan dan konseling memiliki minat yang tinggi dalam mengikuti kegiatan. Berdasarkan analisis penugasan ditemukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam merancang layanan konseling kelompok. Hasil analisis observasi dan wawancara setelah simulasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan dalam melaksanakan layanan konseling kelompok. Hasil analisis kuesioner evaluasi berkaitan tentang penyelenggaraan pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan peserta merasa puas dan senang mengikuti pelatihan. Peserta mengharapkan adanya kegiatan lanjutan untuk memperdalam kemampuan menyelenggarakan layanan bimbingan dan konseling. Analysis of the Impact of Training for Competency Improvement in Group Counseling Services for High School Counseling Teachers in Sleman RegencyAbstract: The professional competence of guidance and counseling teachers is an important aspect that equips guidance and counseling teachers in providing guidance and counseling in schools. One of the competencies that need to be improved is the ability of guidance and counseling teachers in providing group counseling services. The methods used in this training are lectures, discussions, assignments and simulations. The results of the analysis of the impact of training on improving the competence of group counseling services with qualitative analysis indicate that guidance and counseling teachers have a high interest in participating in activities. Based on the assignment analysis, it was found that there was an increase in understanding and skills in designing group counseling services. The results of the analysis of observations and interviews after the simulation showed an increase in skills in implementing group counseling services. The results of the analysis of the evaluation questionnaire related to the implementation of the training show that the training participants were satisfied and happy to participate in the training. Participants expect further activities to deepen their ability to provide guidance and counseling services.

Abstract

This study aims to determine one kind of student attitude that must be developed by students to avoid drug abuse, namely assertiveness. To develop assertiveness, counseling teachers/counselors can train them in group guidance services. This study used an experimental method with one group pre-test and post-test design, the sample used was students who have low scores on assertive behavior. Data were collected using a questionnaire assertive instrument with a Likert scale. This study contains the analysis using a statistical t-test. The results showed that the influence of group counseling services on assertive behavior for the prevention of drug abuse with t-count (7.043) t table (1.83) with = 0.05.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the level of psychological well-being based on gender and level of education being pursued during the Covid-19 pandemic. Participants are students from various faculties and postgraduate programs from diploma, undergraduate, professional education, masters and doctoral education levels in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The instrument used is the Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale which has been adapted by Engger with a content validity value of CVR equal to 1 which is in the good category and reliability is 0.935 in the good category. The data analysis used was Mann-Whitney non-parametric statistics for the different test of psychological well-being based on sex, and Kruskal Wallis as a different test for the level of education being pursued. The results showed that there was no significant difference based on gender, while based on the level of education on psychological well-being there were differences. The results of this study can be taken into account in the development of guidance and counseling programs and services for college students. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tingkat kesejahteraan psikologis berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan jenjang pendidikan yang sedang ditempuh pada saat Pandemi Covid-19. Partisipan merupakan mahasiswa dari berbagai Fakultas dan Program Pascasarjana dari jenjang pendidikan diploma, sarjana, pendidikan profesi, magister dan doktor di Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale yang telah diadaptasi oleh Engger dengan nilai validitas konten CVR sama dengan 1 yang berkategori baik dan reliabilitas 0,935 dengan kategori baik. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik non-parametrik Mann-Whitney untuk uji beda kesejahteraan psikologis berdasarkan jenis kelamin, dan Kruskal Wallis sebagai uji beda pada jenjang pendidikan yang sedang ditempuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan berdasarkan jenis kelamin, sedangkan berdasarkan jenjang pendidikan pada kesejahteraan psikologis terdapat perbedaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat dijadikan pertimbangan dalam pengembangan program dan layanan bimbingan dan konseling untuk mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi.
