Abstract

This study aims to reduce stress in the completion of thesis through peer tutoring method in student of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program, UNY. This research is a classroom action research. The research subjects were 70 Guidance and Counseling Study Program students. Sampling techniques used purposive technique. Data collection used stress scale in the completion of thesis and observation guideline. The result of the pretest with the scale of stress in the completion of the thesis obtained a number of 14 students who were given an action. Data analysis technique used quantitative technique. The results showed a decrease in stress level in Guidance and Counseling student through peer tutoring method. This was indicated by the pretest average score of 104.8 (high category). After being given the action in cycle I, the average post test I score was 90.3 (medium category). This means that in cycle I there was a decrease in the average score of 14.5%. Provision of action continued in cycle II with the result of post test II obtained an average score of 72.2 (low category). This means that in cycle II there is a decrease in the average score of 18.1%. The decrease in the average score in the post test I and II obtained a total of 32.6%.

Abstract

Career decisions making is an important thing. Today, many media can be developed to help make the right career decision; one of them is an electronic publication. This research aims to establish an electronic publication (epub) of career decision-making self-efficacy guidance. The development model used was the Borg &Gall model. The initial try out reveals high product validity while the student tries out demonstrates a very accurate, practical, feasible, and fascinating interpretation. The results show that the epub formed career decision-making self-efficacy guidance has fulfilled the theoretical acceptance and practicality aspects; thus, it can be used by the counsellors and students in the career guidance program.

Abstract

Krisis moral tidak dapat dianggap sebagai sesuatu yang sepele karena tindakan tersebut menjurus pada tindakan kriminal. Menyikapi krisis moral yang cukup marak di lingkungan siswa akhir-akhir ini, maka dibutuhkan suatu intervensi untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas konseling realitas untuk meningkatkan perilaku moral siswa sekolah menengah atas (SMA). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan one grup prestest and posttest design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 10 Malang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistic descriptive uji wilcoxon signed rank test. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa setelah subjek diberi perlakuan berupa konseling realitas, terdapat peningkatan skor perilaku moral siswa pada ranah: (1) disiplin, (2) mengendalikan diri, (3) sopan santun, dan (4) kejujuran, hal ini berarti konseling realitas efektif untuk meningkatkan perilaku moral siswa.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of our study was to find out the children of divorced couples’s self-concept and self-disclosure who raised by their grandmother (grand parenting). This study used a qualitative approach - a case study. Subjects were two adolescents who live in the Village of Blitar City with an age range of 12—14 years. We use in-depth interviews, observations and document studies to collect data. Results show that subject’s saw themselves as a bad individual, bad influence, and being underestimated. Subject’s self-disclosure shows that they have lack of self-disclosure, easily offended by critiscm, lack of trust in others, and rigid.Abstrak: Penulisan artikel bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran konsep diri dan keterbukaan diri remaja broken home yang diasuh nenek (grand parenting). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Subjek ialah dua remaja yang tinggal di desa Rembang, Kota Blitar dengan rentang usia 12—14 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Hasil menunjukkan konsep diri subjek memiliki karakteristik menganggap diri sebagai individu yang tidak baik, pembawa pengaruh buruk, dipandang rendah orang lain. Keterbukaan diri subjek menunjukkan gambaran sikap yang cenderung tertutup pada orang lain, mudah tersinggung ketika menerima kritik orang lain, kurang bisa mempercayai orang lain, dan kaku.

Abstract

Penyesuaian sosial untuk beberapa siswa merupakan suatu hal yang cukup menantang. Hal ini perlu ditindaklanjuti konselor sekolah dengan menyusun program layanan yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penyesuaian sosial siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan kombinasi teknik permainan peran terstruktur dan klarifikasi nilai untuk meningkatkan penyesuaian sosial siswa sekolah menengah atas (SMA) di sekolah. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu one group pretest-posttest design. Subjek penelitian adalah empat belas siswa SMA dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa inventori penyesuaian sosial, pedoman eksperimen, dan lembar observasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data statistik non-parametric uji beda Wilcoxon. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi teknik permainan peran terstruktur dan klarifikasi nilai, efektif meningkatkan penyesuaian sosial siswa SMA di sekolah. A combination of value clarification technique and structured role play to improve students' social adjustment in senior high school Abstract: Social adjustment for some students is quite challenging. This needs to be followed up by school counselors by developing service programs that can improve students' social adjustment skills. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of a combination of structured role-playing techniques and value clarification to improve the social adjustment of senior high school (SMA) students at school. The research design used was one group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were fourteen high school students selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instruments were social adjustment inventories, experimental guidelines, and observation sheets. This study used non-parametric statistical data analysis techniques Wilcoxon t-test. The results showed that the combination of structured role-playing and value clarification techniques was effective in improving high school student's social adjustment at school.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: mengidentifikasi kontribusi simultan dari kepercayaan diri akademik dan self-efficacy akademik ke nilai akhir matakuliah Statistik Inferensial; mengidentifikasi kontribusi parsial kepercayaan diri akademik ke nilai akhir matakuliah Statistik Inferensial; mengidentifikasi kontribusi parsial dari self-efficacy akademik ke nilai akhir matakuliah Statistik Inferensial; dan mengidentifikasi kontribusi kepercayaan diri akademik dan self-efficacy akademik pada nilai akhir matakuliah Statistik Inferensial. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: ada kontribusi simultan kepercayaan diri akademik dan self-efficacy akademik padanilai akhir matakuliah Statistik Inferensial; belum ada kontribusi parsial kepercayaan diri akademik pada nilai akhir matakuliah Statistik Inferensial; ada kontribusi parsial dari self-efficacy akademik pada nilai akhir matakuliah Statistik Inferensial; dan kontribusi kepercayaan diri akademik dan self-efficacy akademik untuk nilai akhir kursus Statistik Inferensial sebesar 42,90%. Contribution of self-confidence and academic self-efficacy to students' final semester grade AbstractThe objectives of the study were to: identify the simultaneous contribution of academic self-confidence and academic self-efficacy to the final grade of Inferential Statistics course; identify the partial contribution of academic self-confidence to the final grade of Inferential Statistics course; identify the partial contribution of academic self-efficacy to the final grade of Inferential Statistics course; and identify the contribution size of academic self-confidence and academic self-efficacy to the final grade of Inferential Statistics course. In conducting the study, the quantitative method was implemented. Results showed that: there has been simultaneous contribution of academic self-confidence and academic self-efficacy to the final grade of Inferential Statistics course; there has not been partial contribution of academic self-confidence to the final grade of Inferential Statistics course; there has been partial contribution of academic self-efficacy to the final grade of Inferential Statistics course; and the contribution of academic self-confidence and academic self-efficacy to the final grade of Inferential Statistics course has been 42.90%.

Abstract

Need for achievement is the encouragement, both within and outside the individual, to perform certain behaviors. This encouragement is needed by individuals to achieve academic achievement in school. The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage of motivation for achieving adolescents in Malang, Indonesia. The research method used is quantitative with a descriptive type of research. The population of this study was 7183 junior high school students. The study led 315 students and sampled using proportional stratified random sampling. The data collection technique uses an achievement motivation scale developed by the researcher himself based on theory and data analysis using frequency in descriptive statistics. The results showed that 69% of adolescents were motivated to perform at a moderate level, 21% at a high level, and 10% at a low level.  This means that the level of motivation for achieving students at a moderate level needs to be improved through the support of parents and teachers, so that students can achieve the expected academic success.

Abstract

Abstract: Self-confidence can help an individual to move forward in life. This study aims to determine: (1) students' self-confidence, (2) the development process, (3) learning strategies that support the development of self-confidence, and (4) the meaning of Tahfizh Qur'an Thematic (TQT) learning in developing students' self-confidence. This qualitative research with phenomenological methods was carried out at the Bait Al-Hikmah Foundation, Malang, especially in the regular Tahfizh Qur'an Thematic (TQT) program. The research subject selection technique used a purposive sampling technique, with two primary subjects, namely students who experienced the development of self-confidence and the teacher of the students. This study indicates that there is a development of students' self-confidence in most of the outer and inner aspects. Abstrak: Kepercayaan diri dapat membantu seorang individu untuk melangkah maju dalam menjalani hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) kepercayaan diri santri, (2) proses perkembangan, (3) strategi pembelajaran yang mendukung perkembangan kepercayaan diri, dan (4) makna pembelajaran  pembelajaran TQT dalam mengembangkan kepercayaan diri santri. Penelitian kualitatif metode fenomenologi ini dilakukan di Yayasan Bait Al-Hikmah Malang, khususnya pada program Tahfizh Qur’an Tematik (TQT) reguler. Teknik pemilihan subjek penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dengan dua macam subjek primer, yaitu santri yang mengalami perkembangan kepercayaan diri dan pengajar santri tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini, menunjukkan bahwa terjadi perkembangan kepercayaan diri santri pada sebagian besar aspek lahir dan batin.
