Abstract

The challenges of the 21st century have become important in education. The 21st century turns life into four pillars, namely learning to know, learning to do, learning to be, and learning to live together. The four pillars contain specific skills that need to be developed in learning activities, such as critical thinking, communicating, collaborating, innovation and creation, information literacy, and problem solving. This study examines the importance of the role of inquiry learning as an alternative learning that can solve the challenges of the 21st century. Experts agree that the answer to the challenges of the 21st century can be concluded by ensuring that students have scientific process skills. Overall skills can be taught in student-centered learning. The results of the mapping are sourced from 40 research articles related to the inquiry. The analysis shows that inquiry is a learning model that can be used to guide students to achieve all skills. An inquiry is a learning that can teach with various stages within one inquiry cycle. The phases may be different for each cycle, however, it still boils down to an agreement that the point of inquiry is in the investigation. An inquiry makes students have free space to learn, but it provides clear exploration limits.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of the Science 2 e-module. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) research from Borg and Gall. The data collection technique used a non-test in the form of a questionnaire. The instruments used were in the form of a material expert questionnaire and a media expert questionnaire. The e-module that has been developed is validated by a material expert and a media expert to determine the feasibility of the product. The results of the assessment of the feasibility of IPA 2 e-module by material experts were 84.09% in the very good category, while the assessment by media experts was 76.25% in the good category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the IPA 2 e-module is suitable for use in learning Science 2 courses

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of online practicum learning on students' conceptual understanding. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The population of this research is all students of science education study program who take practicum courses with a total of 90 students. The sampling technique used was random sampling with a total sample of 24 students. The research instrument used a test consisting of 8 description questions. Data analysis used the T test. The results showed that online practicum learning had a significant effect on students' understanding of concepts with a significance level of 0.00. Constraints encountered during online practicum learning are: availability of tools and materials, instability of the internet network, limited quota, quality of gadgets, and students not reading theory that is in line with the practicum material so they do not understand the purpose of the practicum. Online practicum learning can facilitate students and can adapt to current technological developments in accordance with the demands of 21st century learning.
