Abstract

Premature birth (gestational age <37 weeks) can cause a variety of health problems premature birth are prone for experiencing impaired children's language development in the future. This study was to know the correlation between prematurity and language development of children aged 9-18 months. This research was an observational analytic study with a retrospective cohort design (historical cohort), conducted in August 2019-April 2020. The population was all infants born at Wates General Regional Hospital (RSUD) Wates in Kulon Progo Regency in October 2018-July 2019. The sample was 96 children who were divided into 48 children in the exposed group and 48 children in the non-exposed group. The sampling technique used simple random sampling. The variables in this study were prematurity, smoking parents, maternal education, maternal occupation, and socioeconomics. The data were obtained using Google Form and Denver II forms. Data analysis used chi-square test and logistic regression. There was a correlation between the variables of prematurity with language development. After controlling for smoking parents and mother education variable have significance (p=0.015) on the dependent variable. Developmental language disorders are 3,57 times higher in children born prematurely (OR=3,571). There was no statistically significant correlation between maternal occupation and socioeconomics on language development (p=0.525; 0.277). The chance of language development disorder if the child is born prematurely and has parents who’s smoking and low maternal education is 62%. Prematurity is a risk factor for children's developmental language disorder.

Abstract

Measles and Rubella are infectious diseases that are easy to spread. Measles is very harmful when accompanied by complications of pneumonia, diarrhea, and meningitis. Rubella may cause a miscarriage and may cause Congenital Rubella Syndrome. The use of the Android smartphone as a product of technological advance has made it possible to develop a system that replaces the role of health professionals. This research is aimed at explaining the influence of immunization application (AIMMER) on parents' knowledge of immunization for children of elementary school age. The design used was a pre-post-test control group. Total sample 136 consists of 68 intervention groups and 68 control groups. The intervention group received education on the application of immunization (AIMMER). The control group received the information from public health centers (PHC) with the SOP implemented. The knowledge level of both groups is measured before and one month after the intervention by using a questionnaire. Analysis using the Mann-Whitney test. There is a significant improvement in the intervention group compared to the control group related to the knowledge level of parents on sequel immunization Measles-Rubella (p=0.001). It can be concluded that the immunization application (AIMMER) can improve the knowledge of parents on sequel immunization of Measles and Rubella.

Abstract

 Early stimulation in form of massage for babies for 0-6 months old can strong then the bond and develop the sense of secure between babies and their mothers.  Covid-19 pandemic forces for learning and education to be done through online classes including health promotion, in this case baby massage. The aim of study was to find out the average difference on mothers' increase of knowledge about baby massage before and after virtual counseling during Covid 19 pandemic. This was experimental research using quasi experiment design with non-randomized pre and posttest with control group design approach that was conducted on November   2021 in Sleman, Yogyakarta. The population of this research are mothers who have babies in the age of 0-6 months. The sampling technique used simple random sampling on 126 respondents, 63 respondents as the control group and 63 respondents as the experiment group. The experiment group was given virtual counseling through zoom cloud meeting, while the control group was given counseling using power point presentation through WhatsApp group. The data analysis used Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney test. The tool that was used was questionnaire through google form. There was an increase on the knowledge between the two groups with p-value=0.001. Virtual counseling was effective on the increase of mothers’ knowledge on baby massage during the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Non-compliance in the antenatal care can cause various types of high-risk pregnancies to be unknown which can affect the continuity of pregnancy or pregnancy complications so that they cannot be addressed immediately which will result in an increase in the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR). This study was conducted to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about the high risk of pregnancy in pregnant women and to compliance antenatal care visits during the pandemic. This research is an analytic observational research, using a cross sectional research design. The research subjects were 55 respondents at the Galur II Public Health Center, Kulon Progo in January 2022 using purposive sampling technique. The data that has been collected is then coded, then the data is processed using the SPSS application, using the chi-square statistical test with a 90% confidence degree (?=0.1). The results showed that 54.5% of respondents were high school/vocational high school graduates, 83.6% of respondents were between the ages of 20-35 years, 54.5% of respondents were pregnant with multiparas, and 74.5% of respondents had jobs as housewives. The results of statistical tests showed that as many as 30 respondents (93.8%) had good knowledge and were obedient in conducting antenatal care visits. Hypothesis testing with chi-square statistical test and obtained p value = 0.001 (<0.05). There is a relationship between the level of knowledge about the high risk of pregnancy in pregnant women and compliance with antenatal care visits during the pandemic.

Abstract

The government has proclaimed the marriage Age maturity Program (PUP) since 2006. PUP is an effort to increase the age of the first marriage so that it reaches the minimum age at the time of the marriage, which is 20 years old for women and 25 years for men. PUP is not just a delay to a certain age but also to try to have a first pregnancy occurs at a fairly mature age. With the PUP expected the youth have an understanding and awareness in planning the family, considering various aspects relating to family life, physical, mental, emotional, educational, social, economic and determining the number and distance of birth. Considering the various aspects related. Through the PUP program, it is expected to improve the first married age (UKP) and eventually also to reduce Total Fertility Rate. The PUP program is conducted through a family life preparation program for adolescents (PKBR) in the activities of youth Counseling and Information Center (PIK-R) in schools and corals. The activities of public devotion conducted in PPG Al-Karima village Banguntapan Bantul related to the knowledge and understanding of the marriage age maturity Program for young women is the implementation of research in 2016 conducted by Muslihatun and Djanah on the maturity Program of marriage and age plan to marry teenage princess in SMK N 2 Sewon Bantul D. I Yogyakarta. The outdoor Target of this community service program is the increase and increase in adolescent knowledge of the concept of adulthood, adolescent reproductive rights, adulthood in adolescent marriage and the youth mating program. Methods spoken by lectures, video views and FAQs. Participants were enthusiastic to join the activity. The obstacles are the background of the understanding of the maturity of the marital age that tends to vary from each participant.

Abstract

Advanced immunization of Measles Rubella (MR) is an effective strategy to achieve high immunization coverage that will form herd immunity and break the chain of transmission of Measles and Rubella disease. Utilization of the development of android smartphone technology is very possible to develop a system that replaces the role of an expert in the field of health. The purpose is to increase the knowledge of cadres and mothers about the concept of advanced immunization MR through the Android-based application "AIMMER". Activities were held on Sunday, September 5, 2021 in Kembangsari Srimartani Piyungan Bantul. The executors of the activity were 2 lecturers and 3 students of the Department of Midwifery Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta with the help of 4 field facilitators. The target was cadres and mothers who numbered 40 participants. Activities are carried out according to health protocols, in 1 session a maximum of 10 people by maintaining distance and using masks. The method used is AIMMER android-based application simulation and reflection. The stages of carrying out activities are to explain about the application, goals and benefits, assist the application download process and explain the use of immunization applications, then the target of getting information about MR immunisation through the android-based application "AIMMER". Evaluate by assessing pre-test and post-test on advanced immunization MR knowledge. The post-test was conducted after participants got information about MR immunisation with the app. The results of the activity showed an average pre-test score of 61 and a post-test average value of 76. The conclusion occurred an increase in the level of knowledge of cadres and mothers about  advanced immunization MR after being given a simulation of the android-based application "AIMMER".

Abstract

Pengabdian Masyarakat berbasis komunitas ini menyasar 40 perempuan lanjut usia di Tamantirto, Kecamatan Kasihan, Kabupaten Bantul, yang menderita prahipertensi dan hipertensi. Program tersebut mencakup pengukuran HRV, sesi pendidikan tentang dzikir, dan konsumsi jus yang disiapkan khusus selama periode enam bulan. Peserta menunjukkan keterlibatan yang signifikan dan tanggapan positif terhadap teknik manajemen stres. Hasil pasca intervensi menunjukkan sebagian besar peserta mempertahankan tingkat HRV normal dan mengalami peningkatan tingkat stres melalui penerapan terapi dzikir dan nutrisi. Studi ini menyoroti dampak ganda serat makanan dari buah-buahan dan sayuran, yaitu mendukung mikroflora usus dan kesehatan secara keseluruhan, berpotensi mengurangi peradangan dan mengubah komposisi mikrobiota usus sebagaimana dibuktikan oleh efek spesifik blueberry dan brokoli. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi efektivitas pengintegrasian praktik spiritual seperti dzikir dengan intervensi pola makan untuk meningkatkan kesehatan dan kesejahteraan secara keseluruhan pada populasi lansia. Pendekatan holistik ini tidak hanya membantu dalam mengelola stres namun juga berkontribusi terhadap manfaat kesehatan yang lebih luas, menjadikannya strategi pencegahan utama yang layak untuk menjaga kesehatan dan mengelola stres di kalangan lansia.
