Abstract

A problem often encountered in teaching Islamic Religion Education at school is the students’ boredom in following the learning activities and the low motivation in learning Islamic Religion Education. Some of this is because of the monotonous teaching methodology and the learning media in the learning process. This study was aimed to discover the relationship between the application of a cooperative learning model and multimedia learning medium and the students’ interest in learning the Islamic Religion Education Subject at SMA Negeri 1 Cigudeg. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational research method. The data were collected using observation, interview, and questionnaire techniques. The data analysis technique used was a quantitative technique with assistance from the Microsoft Office Excel and SPSS 20 software.Keywords : Cooperative Learning Model, Multimedia Learning Medium, Student’s Interest in Learning

Abstract

The modern era has an impact on the decline in the function of the family in children's education, even though the family has a very important function in the formation of children's character. The hadith of the Prophet SAW also said, "Honor your children and correct their manners". The purpose of writing this article is to provide an overview of the methods of child education in the family sphere according to the Qur'an. The method used in writing this article is a literature method with a descriptive analysis approach that uses data sources in the form of books, scientific journals, laws, theses, and dissertations. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that in the stages of child development, before a child enters the world of formal education, the family (parents) becomes the first educational environment for a child so that parents must be a good role model for their children as the Prophet SAW who became a role model for his people. Therefore, it can be concluded that the method of educating children in the family environment according to the Qur'an is exemplary.

Abstract

Children’s discipline in some kindergartens is relatively low. It causes difficulties for teachers to prepare children before learning activity or class begin. Currently, most of teachers’s learning tend to be monotonous so the children are easily bored and no passion in doing assignments. Therefore an innovative learning method is needed to improve children's discipline. The objective of this study was to evaluate the project method on increasing of little children’s discipline. The study was conducted at RA Al-Hidayah, Kemang, Bogor Regency, using a number of 44 children as sample. Research method used was experimental design with pretest-posttest control group. Collecting data was performed by observation and documentation. The results of this study showed that discipline of children treated by project method was significantly higher than untreated group. It concluded that the project method can be recommended to apply in kindergarten to increase discipline. Keywords: discipline, early childhood, project method.
