Abstract

AbstrakPelanggaran oleh supir angkot (pete-pete) di Antang Manggala Kota Makassar dari waktu ke waktu telah meningkat, Ini disebabkan oleh manusia itu sendiri kurangnya kesadaran akan peraturan berlalu lintas dan kepentigan-kepentingan manusia ceroboh, Lalai, bahkan kesengajaan menjadi actor dominan terjadinya pelanggaran lalu lintas Penulis didorong untuk melakukan penelitian tentang penegakan hokum dan sanksi pidana terhadap pelanggar lalu lintas oleh Angkot (Pete-pete). Penulis menggunakan jenis penelitian normatif hukum dimana menggunakan studi literatur dan wawancara untuk memperoleh data. Berdasarkan ketentuan Pasal 273-pasal 313 undang-undang nomor 22 tahun 2009. Penulis dapat menyimpulkan bahwa hak sanksi untuk diterapkan ialah Pidana kurungan dan pidana denda serta pidana tambahan.

Abstract

The working pattern of shallot farmers in Enrekang Regency still adheres to the old model of production principles, were to increase production is accompanied by adding the inputs. In fact, in the dimension of the Cobb-Douglas production theory, the addition of inputs is not always necessary in line with the increase of production output. Therefore, this study aims to see the effectiveness of inputs in shallots farming in Enrekang Regency. The input variables used in this study include the area of land, capital, labor, and technology that are optimized and correlated with the production of shallots. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression by adopting the Cobb-Douglas production theory. The results of the analysis found that the use of inputs is reaching the condition of decreasing return to scale in shallots farming.

Abstract

The policy of many universities regarding to the mandatory of TOEFL test for students has become a new discourse in academic circles, especially from the student's perspective. Although the standards set by each university are different, there are some similar conditions faced by students in meeting these standards such as, TOEFL becoming a burden for students, particularly those with limited English skills, moreover, it is increasing the cost of study by requiring students to pay for the test execution cost. Therefore, in line with this policy, the campus must provide support so that each student can meet the expected qualifications. This study aims to describe how the TOEFL Practicum Class is organized by the English language and literature department to help students meet the TOEFL standard set by the campus, which is 500. The experimental method in this research uses a type of research design with a pretest-posttest control design method, and the total sample used was 64 students from the fifth semester of English and literature department.  this study consists of 3 stages, namely preparation stage, implementation stage and final or evaluation. stages. Based on the findings regarding to the effectiveness of the TOEFL Practicum Class implementation, it can be seen from the results of the pre-test and post-test means score, which seems to have increased toward the score of the students.

Abstract

The research aims to figure out what kind of figurative language is contained in Louise Gluck chosen poem and to find out the meaning of Louise Gluck chosen poem. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data source of this research is a selected poem by Louise Gluck, then analyzed using the theory by Keraf. The results of research conducted on two selected poems by Louise Gluck entitled Crossroads and Sunset, the researchers found that there were 16 figurative languages. This finding is of course based on the scope of the research which only analyzes 5 figurative languages, namely: simile, metaphor, hyperbole, personification and synecdoche. Then based on the meaning using denotative and connotative theory, the researcher found 7 lines containing denotative meaning and 13 lines containing connotative meaning.
