Abstract

This study aims to know about the difference of unfair score based on item response theory referred to the model of students’ answers scoring of Junior High Schools throughout the city of Palangka Raya. The samples were taken from 17 state and private Junior High Schools throughout the city of Palangka Raya. Furthermore, the students’ answers were corrected by using scoring models, namely punishment score and correct score. Before doing the test to take the data, the data had to be validated first, both in the content and the empirical data. From the 40 test items, they have obtained 30 valid items. To obtain the proportion of fair score, it was used the estimation using BILOG-MG program. Furthermore, the data were analyzed with the different proportions (Z) of the two groups. The results of the data analysis showed that Zcount is -2.806, while Ztable is -1.65 so Zcount rank outside the receipt area of H0. It shows that the students with the scoring models of punishment score encompass the score that more than the scoring models of the correct score with a significant difference in the proportion. It can be concluded that the students who were corrected by using scoring models of punishment score have a fair index better than the fair index of the students were corrected by using scoring models of correct score.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Diterminasi Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya ditinjau dari Fasilitas dan Motivasi Belajar. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya tahun ajaran 2021/2022 sebanyak 161 siswa. Sampel diambil sebanyak 119 siswa. Data fasilitas dan motivasi belajar siswa diambil dengan angket, sedangkan data hasil belajar matematika siswa digunakan tes. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara online, dengan media Google Form. Untuk menguji validitas angket digunakan rumus korelasi Product Moment. Untuk menguji validitas tes, digunakan Indeks Kesukaran (IK) dan Daya Pembeda (D). Untuk memperoleh reliabilitas angket, digunakan rumus Alpha, untuk reliabilitas tes digunakan rumus KR-20. Data dianalisis dengan korelasi Product Moment, Korelasi Ganda, serta rumus Koefisien Determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ada hubungan positif yang signifikan fasilitas dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa, dengan nilai rhitung sebesar 0,33. Ada hubungan positif yang signifikan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa, dengan nilai rhitung sebesar 0,43. Ada hubungan positif yang signifikan fasilitas dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa, dengan nilai R sebesar 0,43. Sedangkan rtabel = 0,18, Koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,18.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah padakelompok siswa yang mengerjakan soal empat pilihan, proporsi skorwajar siswa yang dikoreksi dengan model penskoran PS lebih besardibandingkan siswa yang dikoreksi dengan model penskoran CS.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 5 SMP negeri maupun swastadi kota Palangka Raya. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan pada akhirsemester genap tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini merupakaneksperimen dengan menggunakan model perbandingan proporsi.Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah model penskoran. Modelpenskoran yang digunakan terdiri atas dua model yakni modelpenskoran CS dan PS. Variabel terikatnya adalah proporsi skor wajarberdasarkan indeks kewajaran skor yang dihitung berdasarkan teorirespon butir dengan menggunakan logistik satu parameter. Rancanganpenelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian komparatif, yaitumembandingkan proporsi berdasarkan indeks kewajaran yangdiperoleh. Dalam melakukan perbandingan dianalisis secara terpisahterhadap dua kelompok, yaitu siswa dengan pengoreksian model correctscore dan punishment score. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswayang dikoreksi dengan model penskoran punishment score mempunyaiindeks kewajaran yang tidak lebih baik dibandingkan dengan indekskewajaran siswa pada model penskoran correct score.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low problem solving ability of students in solving straight line equations. The purpose of this study was to describe the mathematical problem solving ability of students on the material of straight line equations in class VIII-9 SMP Negeri 6 Palangka Raya. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII-9 of SMP Negeri 6 Palangka Raya out of 33 students only 26 students took the test. Then from 26 students 3 students were taken with high, medium, and high abilities, low to be interviewed. Based on the results of data analysis of students mathematicaproblemsolving abilities in solving straight line equations from 26 students, it was obtained that 2 students had problem solving abilities that were included in the "high" category, 3 students were included in the "medium" category, and 21 students fall into the "low" category. The results obtained in this study are: 1) students' mathematical problem solving abilities are high category, the problem can be understood and the settlement plan can be prepared properly, can carry out the settlement plan properly, and review the answers; 2) students mathematical problem solving abilities are in the medium category, the problem can be understood well, the settlement plan can be prepared well but it is not appropriate to carry out the completion plan and can review the answers; 3) students mathematical problem solving ability is low category, the problem can be understood, has not been able to make a settlement plan, and cannot carry out the settlement plan, and does not look back at the answer.

Abstract

The results of learning mathematics in class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya have not yet reached the KKM. Parenting patterns and learning motivation are thought to be correlated as causative factors. This study aims to test the alleged relationship between parenting and learning motivation with mathematics learning outcomes, both individually and interactively. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of correlational research. The population in this study was 161 students of class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya. A sample of 127 students was selected using the Simple Random Sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were a parenting questionnaire (( = 0.92), learning motivation (( = 0.94) and a mathematics learning achievement test (( = 0.85). Data were analyzed by calculating the average value, and standard deviation, and testing the hypothesis with Spearman's correlation analysis at a significant level ∝= 0.05. The results of hypothesis testing show that there is a significant positive relationship between parenting styles and students' mathematics learning outcomes (( 0,20) 0.20); learning motivation with students' mathematics learning outcomes (( 0,20), and there is a significant positive relationship between parenting and learning motivation with mathematics learning outcomes (=0.28)

Abstract

This research was motivated by the SMA Negeri 1 Kasongan school which never identified student errors in solving trigonometry problems. This type of research is descriptive with quantitative and qualitative approaches. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Subjects are students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Kasongan for the academic year 2021/2022. Data collection techniques used are tests and interviews conducted face-to-face at school. The research instrument used was a test sheet consisting of 3 items of description. The test questions in this study were reviewed by three raters. The types of errors made by students in solving trigonometry problems are: Fact Error (A1) most students miswrite the term (name) or symbol/notation used in trigonometry material, Concept Error (A2) students do not understand abstract ideas in trigonometry material so that students cannot solve trigonometry problems, and Operational Errors (A3) students work on problems not according to the correct problem solving procedure, Principle Errors (A4) students do not understand the relationship between several facts and concepts and theorems associated with relations or operations so that errors occur in the completion process and result. The factors that cause students to make mistakes in solving trigonometry problems in the sub-material of trigonometry comparisons in right triangles, namely: Knowledge, in the form of lack of facts, truths or information obtained by students regarding the material that has been studied from simple to difficult material. Understanding, in the form of a lack of students' ability to understand the content of the material. Application, in the form of a student's lack of ability to apply the material that has been learned in new situations and involves the use of rules or principles.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical synthesis ability of students of Mathematics Education at the University of Palangka Raya in terms of masculine and feminine gender identities. The type of research is qualitative research. The research subjects were 4 second semester students of mathematics education consisting of 2 students each with a masculine or feminine gender identity. Determination of the subject using purposive sampling. For data collection, the method of questionnaires, tests, and interviews was used. Data validity using triangulation method. The results of this study are students with feminine gender identity have good mathematical synthesis skills because they meet the three indicators of mathematical synthesis ability, namely finding theories or relationships, predicting, and evaluating. Meanwhile, students with masculine gender identity have mathematical synthesis abilities that are not good enough, because even though they can meet the indicators of finding theories or relationships and evaluating, students with masculine gender identities fail to carry out plans and the settlement process properly, resulting in errors in problem solving.
