Abstract

This paper is aimed at discussing the notion of endowment as a form of investment. Like any other kinds of investment, endowment needs a proper management especially that which is related to risk. Hence, the subject of this paper is risk management for money endowment, i.e., endowment in the form of money. A lack of proper management will certainly lead to the unsuccessful investment such as the ineffective cash-flow which occurs as a result of inflation. The paper argues that the unsuccessful endowment is often the victim of its own ineffective management, or else of its inefficient managers. Many endowments have no managers and management, the result of which being that it cannot be sustained and made use of. While the Syari’ah banking has improved dramatically in many Muslim countries, and has been run professionally, the paper asks, why is it not the case with the endowment sector?

Abstract

Islamic economics as a discipline has a foundation of epistemology. The main problem in the development of economics and Islamic finance in Indonesia is still the gap between the needs of industry and graduate from college. This study aims to analyze how epistemology and the development of Islamic economics and the curriculum structure of Islamic economics in universities that teach Islamic economics and what is effective approach to be applied so that graduates can meet the needs of the financial industry Islamic economics. The method used in this study is a content analysis is used to explain the depth of the curriculum of Islamic economics in college. Based on the results of the study found that the difference was the presence of Islamic economics learning systems in higher education so that graduates produced by universities that teach Islamic economic is still little that can meet the market needs of the Islamic financial industry.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses kemampuan speaking English melalui metode ALM (Audio Lingual Method) dengan pemanfaatan video berbahasa inggris pada siswa kelas IX.1 MTsN 4 Kota Padang dan mendeskripsikan perubahan perilaku siswa kelas IX.1 MTsN 4 Kota Padang selama menggunakan metode ALM (Audio Lingual Method) dengan pemanfaatan video berbahasa inggris. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri atas dua siklus yaitu siklus I dan siklus II. Siklus I terdiri atas perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Siklus II juga terdiri atas perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan proses kemampuan speaking English, menunjukkan adanya perubahan perilaku pada siswa, serta adanya peningkatan kemampuan speaking English. Siklus I nilai rata-rata kelas sebesar 67,3 dan siklus II sebesar 78. Hal ini menunjukkan peningkatan dari siklus I hingga siklus II sebesar 10,67.
